Jellystone Park™ Chautauqua County Introduce
If you are searching for "RV parks near me" in the Jamestown, New York area and are looking for a family-friendly campground experience, Jellystone Park™ Chautauqua County, located at 299 Kiantone Rd, Jamestown, NY 14701, USA, is an option to consider. You can reach them at (716) 569-5433 or their mobile number +1 716-569-5433 to inquire about reservations, availability, and the specific offerings during your desired travel dates.
Based on recent customer reviews, the experience at Jellystone Park™ Chautauqua County appears to be somewhat mixed, with some guests expressing significant disappointment while others highlight positive aspects. It's important to consider both perspectives when evaluating this campground for your family vacation or RV stay.
One reviewer strongly advises against booking a vacation at this location, suggesting alternatives in North Java or Niagara Falls, Canada. They describe the park as a "rip off" and express the opinion that the franchising company should revoke their franchise. Their primary complaints include an alleged lack of activities for children and insufficient staffing, leading to an overall "terrible" experience. This negative feedback should be taken seriously by potential visitors, especially those with children who expect a wide range of engaging activities, which is often a hallmark of the Jellystone Park™ brand.
Another reviewer echoed these concerns, stating that they had encouraged their family to visit this location to support a local business, hoping it would have reached the standard of other Jellystone Park™ locations they had visited in the past year. However, their experience indicated that it had "not" met these expectations. This suggests a potential inconsistency in the quality or offerings compared to other campgrounds under the same franchise.
The negative experiences extended to the point where the reviewer's daughters and grandchildren were ready to leave after just the first night. While the reviewer managed to convince some to stay, one daughter, who was a guest, left anyway and was reportedly charged $5.00 for parking. This additional charge for a guest's parking further contributed to the negative perception of value and customer service.
The arrival experience for one visitor was also problematic, encountering an "unattended gate." Communication to gain entry involved calling their daughter and then speaking to someone over an "unintelligible" speaker, with no mention of a ranger station. This initial difficulty in accessing the park could be frustrating for arriving guests.
The reviewer also mentioned that their daughter had complained to the office about the lack of activities upon arrival, further reinforcing the concern about the activity program at this particular Jellystone Park™ location. The reviewer indicated that their daughter would be writing her own review, which they anticipated would be equally negative.
However, in stark contrast to these negative experiences, another reviewer had a highly positive stay. They described the campground as "beautifully maintained" with "activities for everyone and the sweetest staff!" This reviewer specifically praised the staff for their thoughtfulness, recounting an instance where Yogi Bear personally visited their cabin to meet their Golden Retriever puppy, which they found "extremely thoughtful." They also commended other staff members, Torrey, Harper, and Boo Boo, for their patience and kindness, appreciating the "extra effort" put in by the staff.
This contrasting positive review suggests that while some guests have had significant issues, others have experienced the well-maintained environment and engaging staff that are often associated with the Jellystone Park™ brand. This discrepancy highlights the importance of considering the specific aspects that are most important to your family when making a decision.
Given the conflicting feedback, it is difficult to provide a definitive picture of the environment, services, and features of Jellystone Park™ Chautauqua County. The negative reviews point to potential shortcomings in the activity program and staffing levels, as well as issues with guest policies like parking fees and initial park access. On the other hand, the positive review emphasizes the well-maintained grounds and the friendliness and attentiveness of the staff.
As a Jellystone Park™, it is likely that the campground offers a range of amenities typically found at such family-oriented locations. These might include various types of campsites (for RVs and tents), cabin rentals, restroom and shower facilities, laundry facilities, a camp store, and potentially recreational features like a swimming pool, playground, mini-golf, and planned activities (despite the complaints about their quantity and quality). However, specific details about these amenities at the Chautauqua County location are not provided in the reviews.
Similarly, there is no promotional information available in the provided reviews. To learn about any current specials, discounts, or themed events happening at Jellystone Park™ Chautauqua County, you would need to contact them directly via phone or potentially through their website if one exists.
In conclusion, Jellystone Park™ Chautauqua County in Jamestown, NY, presents a mixed picture based on recent customer reviews. While one reviewer and their family experienced significant disappointment with the lack of activities and staffing, as well as issues with guest policies and park access, another reviewer praised the well-maintained environment and the exceptional friendliness of the staff. For those searching for "RV parks near me" and considering a family-friendly campground in this area, it is crucial to weigh these contrasting experiences. It is highly recommended to contact the park directly to inquire about the current activity schedule, staffing levels, guest policies (including parking), and the specific amenities offered. Reading additional reviews from various sources might also provide a more comprehensive understanding of what to expect at Jellystone Park™ Chautauqua County to help you make an informed decision for your family vacation or RV stay.

Jellystone Park™ Chautauqua County Reviews
Do not book a vacation here! Go to North Java or Niagara Falls, Canada! This place was a rip off. The franchising company should revoked their franchise! Almost no activities for the kids! Not enough staff! Terrible.I paid for my family to vacation here, I encouraged them to try this location because I like to support local business. This location has had a year to come up to the level of the other Jellystone Parks that we have visited. It has not.My daughters and there kids were ready to leave after the first night. I had to convince them to stay. One took her kids and left anyway. She was a guest and she got charged $5.00 for parking! We arrived for a visit to an unattended gate. We called our daughter to see how we could get in. We spoke to someone over a speaker which was unintelligible. We heard nothing about a rangers station! My daughter came to the gate and we followed her to her cabin. My daughter went to the office to complain about the lack of activities when she first got to the park. That was after she called me to complain. I'll encourage her to write her own review. I assure you. It won't be any better than mine.
Aug 19, 2024 · Diane RingerThis campground is beautifully maintained, there are activities for everyone and the sweetest staff! We had been waiting for Yogi to meet our Golden retriever puppy and it was hot out so we went back to our cabin, a few minutes later Yogi showed up at our cabin to meet her. It was extremely thoughtful of Torrey, Harper and Yogi! Boo Boo was also very patient and kind we appreciate all of the extra effort the staff put in.
Jun 22, 2024 · Darryl MikulaHad a great camping experience. Had a rainy weekend but played as weather allowed & enjoyed candy bar bingo. James is a charismatic camp advocate. Saturday night after he clocked out he saw a couple kids playing basketball and he joined them. Within minutes a dozen other kids came to play with him as well. James is an asset to this campground.
Aug 21, 2024 · Heather SayersThis place was wonderful for the kids. They were busy all weekend! In a world full of electronics, my son was content being outside! I would definitely go here again! Make sure you're ready to pay some serious cash. For a camping trip, it was far from cheap.
Aug 12, 2024 · Katie WingardGreat campsite for families with young children. One of the few places I've taken the whole family camping and they all had a blast. Plenty of activities to keep kids occupied and having fun, James and Erich at the candy bar bingo were awesome!
