Lake Hawkins RV Park, located at 156 Co Rd 3455, Hawkins, TX 75765, USA, offers a picturesque lakeside setting with positive reviews highlighting its scenic views, clean beach, and shaded RV sites. This introduction aims to provide a detailed overview of the park based on the available customer feedback, highlighting its environment, services, and features for local users within the "RV parks near me" category.
Lake Hawkins RV Park boasts a prime location directly on the shores of Lake Hawkins, a well-regarded lake in East Texas known for its natural beauty and recreational opportunities. The environment surrounding the park is characterized by the serene lake, offering opportunities for swimming, fishing, and enjoying waterfront views. One reviewer exclaimed, "Lake is awesome," and noted that "their beach area is very clean and water is clear." This clean and inviting beach area is a significant feature for those looking for "RV parks near me" where they can enjoy swimming and sunbathing right at their campsite.
The park also offers great views of the lake, as mentioned in one of the reviews ("Great views!"). This suggests that many of the RV sites may be positioned to take advantage of the scenic waterfront, enhancing the overall camping experience. The presence of "alot of trees that provide shade to RV area" is another significant advantage, particularly during the hot Texas summers. Shaded campsites offer a cooler and more comfortable outdoor living space for RVers.
In terms of amenities, Lake Hawkins RV Park provides clean bathrooms and a shower area, although one reviewer did not personally use the showers but noted their presence. The availability of clean restroom facilities is a fundamental requirement for any reputable RV park. The park also offers picnic tables, available on a first-come, first-served basis, providing a convenient space for outdoor dining and gatherings. Additionally, the presence of "plenty of parking" suggests that guests will have ample space for their vehicles and any additional trailers or boats.
One reviewer noted that "Not all sites are FHU," which means that not all RV sites offer full hookups (sewer, water, and electricity). However, they also mentioned that "the potable water is good," indicating that even sites without full hookups have access to a reliable source of drinking water. When considering Lake Hawkins RV Park as one of the "RV parks near me," it is essential to inquire about the specific hookup options available at different sites to ensure they meet your RV's requirements.
A unique amenity mentioned in one review was the presence of a "snow cone truck," suggesting that the park may offer seasonal treats or vendors to enhance the guest experience. This type of amenity can add a fun and enjoyable element to a stay, especially during warmer weather.
One reviewer, while initially positive, updated their review to remove a star due to concerns about "loose dogs at campsites including two roaming off leash with a staff member." This is an important point to consider for pet owners and those concerned about safety. It is advisable to inquire about the park's pet policies and how they are enforced to ensure a comfortable and safe environment for all guests.
For those looking to explore the surrounding area, Hawkins, TX, offers a small-town charm. Lake Hawkins itself is a significant attraction, providing opportunities for boating and fishing, although these were not detailed in the provided reviews. The park's address being on County Road 3455 suggests a slightly more rural setting, contributing to the peaceful lakeside atmosphere. When searching for "RV parks near me" that offer a blend of natural beauty and essential amenities, Lake Hawkins RV Park appears to be a strong contender.

Asking about the beach access, boat launch facilities (if any), and any other recreational amenities available would also be beneficial.

Lake Hawkins RV Park Reviews
Great views! Not all sites are FHU but the potable water is good and the lake is beautiful. Will definitely be back! Update: had to remove 1 star for loose dogs at campsites including two roaming off leash with a staff member.
Jul 25, 2024 · Bill BarsczLake is awesome. Their beach area is very clean and water is clear. They have some picnic tables, which is 1st come basis. They have clean bathrooms and they also have a shower area. I didn't go into shower area though. They had a snow cone truck. Plenty of parking. We came to scope out the RV park prior to making a reservation for a later time. Plenty of room between RVs. Alot of trees that provide shade to RV area.

Oct 08, 2024 · Josh HillI love coming here because the people are nice and the water is very nice
Feb 26, 2025 · Job VazquezWe certainly enjoyed our time at this rv park and will definitely be back. Weekends tends to get very crowded along the beach area but the crowds are respectful and most are not overly rowdy.
