You can reach them at (828) 256-4303 or their mobile number, +1 828-256-4303, for inquiries about availability and specific details.
Lake Hickory RV Resort appears to offer a unique environment, particularly for those who appreciate waterfront living and a sense of community. According to one reviewer, the annual lot rent is $6,000, which includes several notable features. This price point suggests a more premium offering compared to some other RV parks. The included amenities reportedly encompass a gated community for added security and exclusivity, convenient trash pickup services, and essential utility hookups for water and sewer. A significant highlight mentioned is access to docks and the beautiful Lake Hickory itself, catering to boating and lake enthusiasts.
The environment of Lake Hickory RV Resort seems to be characterized by its proximity to Lake Hickory, providing residents with easy and quick access for recreational activities. One long-term resident of over 30 years shared their positive experience, emphasizing the convenience of living just three minutes from the campground, allowing for spontaneous lake outings. They described the ease of docking their boat during storms and returning to the water afterward, highlighting the seamless integration of lake life with their RV or "tiny house" living. This suggests that the resort is well-suited for those who value regular access to boating, fishing, and other lake-related activities.
In terms of services and features, the inclusion of a gated community points towards an emphasis on security and a more private setting for residents. The provision of trash pickup, water, and sewer services are standard yet essential amenities for any long-term RV park. However, the standout feature appears to be the access to docks and Lake Hickory. This amenity is particularly attractive for individuals who own boats or enjoy water sports. The long-term resident also mentioned the social aspect of the resort, highlighting the friendly neighbors and the enjoyment of spending time with friends within the community, including social gatherings like grilling out and even boat trips to lakeside restaurants.
The feature of being a gated community can be a significant draw for those prioritizing security and a sense of exclusivity. However, one reviewer noted that the RVs might be situated "too close together" for their personal preference, indicating that while the community aspect is present, personal space between lots might be somewhat limited. This is a factor that prospective residents might want to consider based on their individual needs and preferences for privacy and space.
The positive experience of the long-term resident also underscores a strong sense of community within Lake Hickory RV Resort. They mentioned the importance of being good neighbors and helping each other, which contributes to a friendly and supportive atmosphere. This social element can be a significant benefit for those looking to build connections and friendships within their living environment.
While the provided information doesn't explicitly detail all the services and features, the mention of a $6,000 annual lot rent suggests that the resort offers a comprehensive package beyond just a parking space. It would be beneficial to inquire about other potential amenities such as laundry facilities, recreational areas (e.g., clubhouse, swimming pool), Wi-Fi access, and any specific rules or regulations of the resort. Understanding the full scope of services and features will help potential residents determine if the value aligns with the cost.
Regarding promotional information, none was explicitly provided in the given text. To learn about any special offers, seasonal rates, or incentives for new residents at Lake Hickory RV Resort, it is essential to contact the management directly at the provided phone numbers. They would be the best source for the most current promotional details.
In summary, Lake Hickory RV Resort in Conover, NC, appears to be a lakefront gated community offering long-term RV lot rentals with included amenities such as trash pickup, water, sewer, and access to docks on Lake Hickory. The environment is characterized by its proximity to the lake and a seemingly friendly, community-oriented atmosphere, as highlighted by a long-term resident. However, potential residents should be aware that the RV lots might be in close proximity to each other. For those seeking an RV park with direct lake access, security, and a sense of community, Lake Hickory RV Resort could be a compelling option within the "RV Parks Near Me" category. It is recommended to contact the management directly to inquire about current availability, a comprehensive list of services and features, and any promotional offers, as well as to address any concerns about lot spacing.

Lake Hickory RV Resort Reviews
Lot rent 6,000 a year. For that price, you have a gated community, trash pu, water and sewer, and access to docks and lake. It wasn’t for me, although the people I met there were very kind. Rv’s too close together for me.
Jan 25, 2025 · Paul BurkettI’ve been fortunate enough to have an awesome lot at Lake Hickory RV Resort and campground for over 30 years. Our home is 3 minutes from the campground and it has allowed our family fast and easy access to the lake, hop on the boat and enjoy. If a storm comes, we dock the boat, stay inside our tiny house till the storm passes and go back out on the lake.We can easily go weekdays, enjoy every weekend and holidays. It is a terrific place to enjoy and we have friends at the resort that we like spending time with.We have been fortunate though the years to have good honest and friendly neighbors. When we grill out we invite people over to eat and sometimes we load up by boat and go eat at the resturant. It is a gated community and might be too close for some people. We have found being good neighbors and helping each other is what makes good friends.
May 22, 2024 · Sherrelyn DavisLori Faust I usually don't say anything about people who have put bad reviews because I don't want to lower myself to the level some have like Lori Faust. But there was something terribly wrong with this woman that has said nothing but lies and she was so out of control that I had to ask her to leave. I have printed out and saved the original messages. She was so out of control that I made sure I had a witness in the office because I knew she couldn't leave without starting something. She claimed I threw her out because her husband was black. She is aware I never met her husband and he never came to the office. And I see that the lies have continued. Lori Faust you need help. This is not normal behavior.
Sep 01, 2023 · Aileen BealIf I could give them zero stars, I would. Lady with black hair and glasses in office was very rude. Not only was she rude on the phone, she was very rude as I pulled up per customer behind me. Got to site and saw that there was a bacterial filled water Spicket in ground. Did not want to hook up water system to it because it was actually underwater full of bacteria. Would not recommend this place at all. Also, campground is not friendly to 1/2 of its occupants….
Jun 26, 2023 · G GettersThe RV park is very nice and the staff is good to work with. It is nice having a gated entrance to the park. There are great views here, and the people are very welcoming. They also have a boat ramp. I will definitely call this place the next time I am traveling to this area.
