Lake Martin RV Park Introduce
Welcome to Lake Martin RV Park, situated at 5400 AL-128, Alexander City, Alabama (AL 35010), USA. If your search for "RV parks near me" includes the picturesque Lake Martin area, Lake Martin RV Park presents a location with promising future potential and convenient access to local attractions. It is important to note that the park is currently under new ownership and undergoing significant transformation, as indicated by recent feedback. This introduction aims to provide an objective overview of the park based on the limited and somewhat contrasting information available.
Lake Martin is a renowned recreational destination in Alabama, attracting visitors with its beautiful lake, outdoor activities, and proximity to the Russell Lands area, known for its markets and restaurants. Lake Martin RV Park's location directly on AL-128 and its reported proximity to these attractions could make it a desirable base for exploring the region once its redevelopment is complete.
The Environment: Undergoing Transformation with Proximity to Lake Martin Attractions
One recent review expresses excitement about the new owners' efforts to transform Lake Martin RV Park into a premier destination. The reviewer noted the owners' friendliness and their active involvement in cleaning up the land, suggesting a commitment to improving the park's environment and infrastructure. The park's location is highlighted as being "right down the street from all the Russell Lands market and restaurant," indicating a significant advantage for guests interested in these local amenities.
However, it is crucial to acknowledge another review that presents a drastically different and highly concerning account of past experiences under previous management. This review alleges denial of essential utilities (power and water), unauthorized movement and entry into the RV, and ultimately the removal and attempted transfer of the RV's contents without the owner's consent. This feedback, while potentially related to a prior ownership or management, underscores the importance of seeking current and reliable information about the park's present operational standards and management practices.
Given the conflicting nature of the available reviews, it is challenging to provide a definitive description of the current environment. Prospective guests should be aware that the park is reportedly undergoing transformation, and the conditions observed during a visit may differ significantly from past experiences. The positive anticipation for the completed renovations suggests a future environment focused on creating a desirable RV park experience.
Services and Amenities: Future Potential and Past Concerns
Information regarding the current services and amenities at Lake Martin RV Park is limited and somewhat contradictory based on the available reviews. The positive review anticipates the park becoming a "go-to RV park" upon completion of the transformation, implying that the new owners are likely planning to offer a comprehensive range of services and amenities expected by RV travelers. These could potentially include:
- Full hookups for RVs (water, electricity, and sewer).
- Well-maintained grounds and roadways.
- Potentially restroom and shower facilities.
- Possible laundry facilities.
- Perhaps recreational areas or communal spaces.
However, the negative review raises serious concerns about the provision of basic utilities (power and water) and alleges a complete disregard for the RV owner's property rights. While this experience may not reflect the current situation under new ownership, it serves as a critical reminder for prospective guests to thoroughly inquire about the availability and reliability of essential services before making any commitments.
It is imperative for individuals considering Lake Martin RV Park to directly contact the new owners to obtain accurate and up-to-date information about the services and amenities currently offered and the planned improvements as part of the park's transformation.
Features and Benefits: Location and Future Potential, but Exercise Caution
The primary potential benefits of Lake Martin RV Park, based on the available information, are its location and the anticipated improvements under new ownership:
- Proximity to Lake Martin and Russell Lands: The park's location near the lake and the Russell Lands market and restaurants offers convenient access to popular recreational and dining options in the area.
- Transformation Under New Ownership: The expressed excitement for the new owners' vision suggests the potential for a significantly improved RV park experience in the future.
However, prospective guests must exercise caution and conduct thorough due diligence due to the serious allegations raised in one of the reviews. It is essential to verify the current management practices, the availability and reliability of services, and the overall condition of the park before making a reservation or committing to a stay.
While the future potential of Lake Martin RV Park as a "go-to RV park near Lake Martin" seems promising based on one review, the past experiences reported by another cannot be ignored and highlight the need for careful consideration and direct communication with the current owners.

In Conclusion: A Location with Future Potential, but Requires Due Diligence
Lake Martin RV Park offers a potentially attractive location for those seeking "RV parks near me" in the Lake Martin area, with convenient access to Russell Lands attractions. The ongoing transformation under new ownership holds promise for significant improvements and the development of a desirable RV destination. However, the serious allegations from a past customer experience necessitate careful consideration and thorough investigation by prospective guests. Direct communication with the new owners is essential to obtain accurate and current information regarding the park's services, amenities, and management practices. While the future looks optimistic according to one reviewer, it is crucial to approach with caution and make informed decisions based on the present reality and the new ownership's plans.

Lake Martin RV Park Reviews
Excited for the new owners to finish transforming park! I stopped by and met them as they were cleaning up the land. They were extremely friendly and sound like they are going to create the go-to RV park near Lake Martin once complete. Right down the street from all the Russell Lands market and restaurant too! I can't wait to stay here.
Jun 29, 2023 · Clyde YelvertonThe owners of this RV park refused me access to power and water, kept moving my rv around without my permission and breaking into my rv, yes I was the owner. Yes I was paying rent. They finally hulled the inside of my rv out and attempted to give it to someone else.
Jul 24, 2023 · Tiffany SouissiLand lord is a pathological lier. Doesn't take care of the park. And refuses to make good on a refund he promised. This is a very very unfriendly park for families. There have been complaints about Carl allegedly stealing/breaking things and has allegedly been caught several times looking into residences. These claims have not been substantiated.
Oct 01, 2021 · Denver BurnsThe park is hard to get into hills and holes everywhere. Definitely not a place to call home. The laundry room that a previous review talked about is still not open. The falling down in shambles mobile homes and mountains of rubble from mobile homes they have torn down are a joke to look at. Owners are rarely onsite, but if rent is due the owners will be knocking on your door to collect that. Gave 2 stars because of the area..close enough to town for convienance but far enough away to be a quiet location.
May 23, 2017 · Kelly PI had a camper there. The owners were really hateful to me. They would break into my camper when I wasn't there. They kept moving my camper around without my permission . They put boards with nails in them where I had to park trying to ruin my tires on my van. They put snakes in my camper. They put my camper in a big mud hole. Finally they moved it again without my permission and hulled out the inside of my camper. Judge Kim Taylor let them get away with it. Yes, I was paying my rent. I tried to have it moved , but the campground owners would talk to the mover and tell them my camper belonged to them. It was my camper. I owned it. They moved my camper again while I was gone for a while visiting. I came back and they had hulled the inside of my camper out and gave it to one of their favorite renters. If you don't want to be done like I was stay away from this campground.
