Lakeland Harbor Introduce
Lakeland Harbor, located at 4747 FL-33 in Lakeland, Florida, presents itself as a residential option for those seeking mobile home living or temporary stays within the "RV parks near me" category. With contact numbers (888) 506-4203 and +1 888-506-4203, it invites inquiries from prospective residents and visitors. Based on the available customer reviews, a nuanced picture emerges of this community, highlighting both its positive aspects and areas that some residents find challenging.
One of the consistently praised features of Lakeland Harbor is its cleanliness. Multiple reviewers explicitly mention that the park is "very clean" and well-maintained. This emphasis on tidiness suggests that the management prioritizes the aesthetic appeal and general upkeep of the grounds, which is a significant factor for many individuals when choosing a place to live or stay. The absence of "eyesore" trailers, even in the aftermath of Hurricane Milton, further supports this positive aspect of the park's environment, indicating proactive cleanup and a standard of appearance.
The amenities at Lakeland Harbor also receive positive feedback. The clubhouse and pool are described as "huge" by one reviewer, suggesting ample space for residents to socialize and relax. However, this reviewer also points out a potential drawback related to the park's size and the central location of these amenities. For residents located on the outer edges of the park, the distance to the clubhouse and pool might be inconvenient, particularly for older individuals without golf carts. This suggests that while the amenities themselves are impressive in size, their accessibility might vary depending on a resident's location within the community.
Despite the positive comments on cleanliness and some of the facilities, several concerns are raised in the reviews. A significant issue highlighted by one resident is the problem of parking. Neighbors allegedly park "numerous vehicles" – including two full-size trucks and a motorcycle in one instance – which interferes with other residents' ability to park in their designated spaces. Additionally, frequent visitors to these neighbors exacerbate the parking congestion, with vehicles reportedly parked obstructively for extended periods. The reviewer expresses frustration that the park "apparently has no control on these violators," as the problem persists, especially on weekends, creating a "daily chore to deal with." This indicates a potential lack of effective enforcement of parking regulations, which can significantly impact the quality of life for residents.
Another recurring theme in the reviews is related to the social dynamics within the park. While one reviewer notes that "there are some nice people there," they also state that "the majority of the people are very snooty and nosey," particularly highlighting the "snowbirds" and some year-round residents. This suggests a potential divide in the community's social atmosphere, with some residents being less welcoming or more intrusive than others. However, the same reviewer also acknowledges that "the rest of the park will wave and say hello," indicating a degree of general friendliness among a portion of the residents.
The presence of a large number of dogs is also mentioned as a potential drawback for some. One reviewer states, "There are too many dogs for me way too many dogs for me they're constantly barking and you can hear them all over the Park and it's annoying to me personally." While acknowledging that some owners are responsible and manage their pets well, others are described as "inconsiderate" for not picking up after their dogs or controlling their barking. This split in pet owner etiquette appears to be a source of frustration for some residents and prevents the park from achieving a potentially higher rating in their view.
Interestingly, one unique feature mentioned by a reviewer is the presence of alligators within the park. While this might be intriguing or even appealing to some, it could also be a concern for others, particularly those with small children or pets. The context of this observation suggests that the alligators are a natural part of the environment within or around Lakeland Harbor.
Regarding management, one reviewer mentions that it requires a "pretty extensive background check" for prospective residents, which they perceive as "a little too hard" because applicants have to pay for it before receiving an approval. This suggests a rigorous screening process for new residents, which could contribute to the park's overall cleanliness and appearance by aiming to attract responsible individuals. However, the financial aspect of the background check is noted as a potential deterrent.
The same reviewer also touches on the sensitive topic of discrimination, suggesting that while regulations prohibit it, such practices might still occur in mobile home parks. This is a broader societal issue and not specific to Lakeland Harbor, but it's a consideration for individuals seeking residency in any such community.
In summary, Lakeland Harbor offers a clean and well-maintained environment with some notable amenities like a large clubhouse and pool. However, potential residents should be aware of reported issues concerning parking violations by some residents and their visitors, as well as potential social dynamics involving perceived snobbery among some residents and noise from a significant number of dogs. The park's large size might also make amenities less accessible for those living on the periphery. The presence of alligators is a unique environmental factor to consider. While the management appears to conduct thorough background checks, the cost of this check prior to approval is mentioned as a potential negative. For those searching within the "RV parks near me" category or considering a longer-term stay in a mobile home park in Lakeland, Florida, Lakeland Harbor presents a mixed picture based on these reviews. Prospective residents are encouraged to weigh the positive aspects of cleanliness and amenities against the potential challenges related to parking, social climate, and pet noise, and to seek further information or clarification from the management regarding these concerns.

Lakeland Harbor Reviews
Nice place to live but the neighbors are allowed to park numerous vehicles that interfere us parking in our parking space. The neighbor has two full size trucks and a motorcycle. This neighbor also has people visiting every day. My parking entrance has a vehicle parked across from it the last several months, making it difficult to come and goThe park apparently has no control on these violators, because the problem persist through out this park, especially on the weekends. This is a very nice park, with some not so nice tenants. Please get a handle on this problem. It's a daily chore to deal with.
Nov 10, 2024 · Michael ZamoraIt's very clean there are some nice people there but the majority of the people are very snooty and nosey. And of course it's mainly the snowbirds but there are some year-round residents that just are the same way but far less. the rest of the park will wave and say hello or at least just go by and wave but they do keep it extremely clean. The clubhouse and pool are huge in my opinion though it's pretty centered in the park the park is too big not to have 2 pools. One clubhouse but they need 2 pools because it's so far from the outer houses it's inconvenient for old peeps unless of course they're on a golf cart. which on fixed incomes idk how they own both cars and carts but whatever. There are too many dogs for me way too many dogs for me they're constantly barking and you can hear them all over the Park and it's annoying to me personally. On one hand you have the owners that are responsible and they pick up the doodoo and they tell the dog to stop barking and then you have the other inconsiderate neighbors that don't. so it's split right down the middle in this park and it's a shame because this part could be a a 4 star park. I go to visit friends that live there but whereas my park is mostly cats it's a big difference for me to constantly hear one or another dog bark. It's like their in a choir and have their individual solos 😂😂😂😂. I can't answer any management questions cuz I just don't know. I do know it's a pretty extensive background check to get in it's not your typical background check and they don't take just everybody which is good a little too hard for if you ask me cuz you are the one paying for that before you even get to get a yes or no not them. And all these places now that they cannot be discriminatory but we all know that all of these places are. The one thing about this park that I do enjoy is the alligators and there isn't one trailer in there that is an eyesore not one. Minus of course hurricane damage that happened from Milton just last month which most has already been cleaned up and FEMA has cut checks to most of who filed already in there. Which is nice. If there's such a thing this is a fancy trailer park 😂.

Dec 13, 2023 · Brandy BakerBeautiful community, has such a nice serene setting. Everyone here that we meet are so nice and friendly. It is nice quiet and peaceful. There is post office box by the main building where they also hold different activities. My Uncle and Aunt love here and we love going to visit. It is a great gated community. And it is close to restaurants and shopping. Uber will also deliver here if you order from them.
