Based on recent customer reviews, Lone Star RV Ranch stands out for its scenic environment, well-maintained grounds, reliable utilities, and exceptionally caring owners.
One of the first things that guests notice about Lone Star RV Ranch is its aesthetic appeal. One reviewer described it as a "Beautiful place to stay." This suggests that the park takes pride in its appearance and offers a visually pleasing environment for its residents and visitors. The natural surroundings likely contribute to this beauty, providing a tranquil and enjoyable setting for RV living.
While Lone Star RV Ranch offers a peaceful setting, it is conveniently located just "6 miles from Canton." This provides a balance between the serenity of a more rural location and easy access to the amenities and attractions of Canton, including shopping, dining, and the renowned Trade Days. The reviewer also noted that the park "sits off the road," emphasizing its quiet and secluded feel. However, they advise potential guests to "watch for the blue sign" to ensure they can easily locate the entrance, indicating that while it's tucked away for peace, it's still accessible.
A standout feature of Lone Star RV Ranch, according to the reviews, is the exceptional care and attentiveness of the owners, Mrs. And Mr. Cuttingham. One long-term resident recounted their experience during a snowstorm, highlighting the owners' proactive approach: "This place is owned by Mrs. And Mr. Cuttingham who actually checked in on everyone during the snow storm! We never lost power, propane or water the entire time. We felt lucky." This anecdote speaks volumes about the owners' commitment to the well-being of their guests, going above and beyond to ensure their comfort and safety, even during challenging weather conditions. The fact that essential utilities like power, propane, and water remained uninterrupted during a storm is a significant testament to the park's infrastructure and management.
For those considering a longer stay, such as the reviewer who mentioned, "We are living here while we are building a home," Lone Star RV Ranch appears to offer a comfortable and reliable environment. The inclusion of Wi-Fi is a significant amenity for both short-term and long-term guests, allowing them to stay connected for work or leisure. The reviewer also noted that "the grounds are clean," indicating a commitment to maintaining a pleasant and hygienic living space for everyone.
The park also caters to pet owners, as the reviewer mentioned, "I have been walking every morning and several people walk their dogs." This suggests a pet-friendly atmosphere with ample space for walking dogs, which is often a crucial factor for RV travelers with furry companions. Another reviewer echoed this, stating, "Plenty of space to walk your dog." This highlights the spaciousness of the grounds, allowing both residents and their pets to enjoy the outdoors comfortably.
Another significant advantage of Lone Star RV Ranch is the layout of the RV sites. One guest specifically pointed out, "The RVs are not stacked on top of each other," emphasizing the spaciousness and privacy afforded to each site. This is a welcome contrast to some RV parks where sites can feel cramped and close together. The ample space between RVs contributes to a more relaxed and comfortable living experience.
The sense of community at Lone Star RV Ranch also receives positive feedback. The same reviewer noted, "Everyone that I've met has been really nice." A friendly and welcoming community can greatly enhance the RV living experience, fostering a sense of belonging and camaraderie among guests.
The owner, Howard Cunningham (humorously noted as "No Joke" by the reviewer), is also praised for his positive demeanor: "Howard Cunningham ( No Joke) is a really good guy." This reinforces the theme of friendly and caring ownership that runs through the reviews, suggesting that guests can expect a positive and helpful interaction with the park management.
Beyond the park itself, its location offers convenient access to essential amenities. The reviewer mentioned being "Only 6 mins from Walmart," making it easy for residents to stock up on groceries and other necessities. Additionally, the mention of "Brooks hires is great" suggests that there are other local services or businesses nearby that are valued by the community, although the specific nature of "Brooks hires" is not detailed.
In summary, for local users searching for "RV parks near me," Lone Star RV Ranch offers a compelling blend of natural beauty, spacious sites, reliable utilities, and exceptional owner care, all within a short drive of Canton. The positive reviews highlight the clean grounds, pet-friendly environment, and the strong sense of community fostered by the friendly owners. The owners' proactive care during a severe weather event underscores their commitment to the well-being of their guests, offering peace of mind and a sense of security. Mar 23, 2022 · Cindy UtleyWe stayed with Lone Star from January thru March of 2021 and loved our time there. The owners, the Cunninghams, were very welcoming and friendly and we had to leave for work or we would still be there. The park was so quiet and peaceful and if we ever get a chance to go back this is where we will be staying. Highly recommended!!!
