Love's RV Hookup Introduce
For local users in Indiana and those traveling through the Leavenworth area who are searching for "RV parks near me," Love's RV Hookup located at 6582 IN-66, Leavenworth, IN 47137, USA, offers a specific type of RV accommodation often associated with travel centers and truck stops. It's important to understand the nature of these hookups to determine if they meet your specific needs and expectations for an RV stay.
Based on recent customer reviews, Love's RV Hookup in Leavenworth provides a functional, albeit potentially basic, option for RVers needing overnight or short-term hookups. One recurring theme in the feedback is the issue of noise. As Love's is primarily a truck stop, guests can expect to hear the sounds associated with a busy transportation hub, including idling tractor-trailers and refrigeration units running throughout the night. One reviewer explicitly mentioned being woken up by a nearby truck and questioned the value of paying for a hookup when parking in the back (presumably without hookups) would expose them to similar noise levels for free. This strongly suggests that a quiet and secluded camping experience is unlikely at this location.
Another reviewer with experience at various Love's RV Stops noted that this particular location has its RV spots situated within the parking lot and not in a separate, gated area. This configuration might contribute to the noise issue and could also raise concerns about security for some travelers, although this was not explicitly mentioned in the provided reviews. The lack of a gated area differentiates this location from other Love's RV Stops the reviewer had visited.
The check-in process also received some feedback. While service inside the building was described as prompt and electricity was turned on efficiently, the on-site kiosk for check-in was reportedly not operable. This necessitated going inside the main building to register. The reviewer expressed a preference for online check-in with automatic gate code and utility activation, which is not the current system at this Leavenworth location.
Despite these drawbacks, the second reviewer mentioned having a "somewhat comfortable night," acknowledging that Love's is, after all, a busy truck stop. This suggests that while not ideal for a peaceful retreat, Love's RV Hookup can serve as a convenient option for travelers needing essential hookups for a night or two, especially when other options might be limited or unavailable.
It is crucial for local users searching for "RV parks near me" to understand that Love's RV Hookup primarily caters to travelers needing quick and easy access to basic utilities during a journey. The environment is inherently tied to the activity of a truck stop, which includes significant vehicle traffic at all hours. Therefore, those seeking a quiet, nature-oriented, or amenity-rich RV park should likely explore other options in the Leavenworth area or along their route.
The services offered at Love's RV Hookup typically include electric hookups, and based on the review, water and sewer hookups are also likely available, although not explicitly stated. The prompt activation of electricity upon check-in is a positive aspect mentioned. However, it's important to note the absence of information regarding other potential amenities often found at dedicated RV parks, such as restrooms, showers, laundry facilities, Wi-Fi, or recreational areas. Given the context of a truck stop, these might be available within the main Love's facility, but this is not confirmed in the provided reviews.
In terms of features, the primary advantage of Love's RV Hookup is its convenience and accessibility, particularly for overnight stays during travel. The ability to access fuel, food, and other services offered at a Love's Travel Stop is an inherent benefit. However, the lack of a gated RV area and the potential for significant noise from truck traffic are important considerations.
There is no promotional information provided in the reviews. Therefore, local users interested in Love's RV Hookup should contact them directly at (812) 739-2020 or +1 812-739-2020 to inquire about current rates, the availability of specific hookups (electric, water, sewer), and any other services or facilities available to RV guests. It would also be wise to ask about typical noise levels at different times of the day and night to better prepare for the environment.
In conclusion, Love's RV Hookup in Leavenworth, IN, offers a functional and convenient option for RVers needing basic hookups, particularly those in transit. However, potential guests should be aware that it is located within a busy truck stop environment, which entails significant noise. The check-in process requires going inside the main building, and the RV area is not gated. While it can provide a "somewhat comfortable night" for some, those seeking a quieter or more amenity-rich RV park experience should likely look elsewhere. For local users searching under "RV parks near me," Love's RV Hookup serves a specific niche as a truck stop with RV hookups, prioritizing convenience over a traditional camping atmosphere.

Love's RV Hookup Reviews
I understand the noise like everybody else. It sucks to be woke up to hearing a tractor trailer two stalls from me running his motor and his reefer. The truck was backed up in the stall. Why pay over 50 bucks a night when you can park in the back for free and hear all engines running. We unhooked and left to go find something else. Next time I’m in the area we will just park in the back.
Dec 16, 2024 · Clarence HillWe have stayed in many Love's RV Stops in the past in all configurations. This was our second that the RV Spots was in the parking lot and not gated.Kiosk on site but is not operable for check in. Wound up having to go inside building to check in. Service was prompt and electricity was turned on. We prefer being able to check in online, receive a gate code and utilities are turned on at the same time of checking in.That being said, we had a somewhat comfortable night. This is a busy truck stop after all!
Oct 20, 2024 · Frances CroomI have reserved rv hook-up at other locations and gone in to get a shower and been given one free with the reservation. Think this was a standard because other Loves Stations had done this. i came into this one to do the same and was treated rather rudely. I was told that wasn't a thing, and they treated me as if i was scum. I am a Loves card holder and travel a lot and use Loves a lot and there counter part Pilot. Since Pilot seems to be cheaper, i will probably be staying there from now on in my RV, which is much friendly people.
Oct 15, 2024 · Sarai FuossRude staff due to a misunderstanding we assumed showers were included with the RV spot rental. We were wrong and that's fine. However when we first inquired, the staff were very rude about it. Maybe treating customers that spend a significant amount of money in a crappie economy with some respect is out of the question. I personally would have thought better of a company with Loves as their company name. Not to mention the price point. $50 for a night, no shower included, all that's included is access to wifi (free at most other locations), water, waste dump, and electricity. So adding the price of the shower $17 for a total of $67.Compared to pilot $17 preferred parking, $17 shower, $10ish for gas to run a generator. Totals to $44, if you pay $10 to waste dump at any other location the cost is only $54. In a crippling economy I think the answer is obvious.Update: added pictures of the shower we paid for. Black mold clearly visible, obviously not cleaned throughly. And a valve was broken so both shower heads had to run at the same time decreasing water pressure.
Oct 15, 2024 · Eric SmithAlthough it snowed in the area 2 days ago, the RV sites are buried in snow. Almost impossible to find the rv dump cap, site not enjoyable given the $50 price tag.
