Mayfield Mobile Home Park Introduce
If you are searching for "RV parks near me" in the Akron, Ohio area, Mayfield Mobile Home Park, located at 1909 East Turkeyfoot Lake Road #32, Akron, OH 44312, USA, presents a community with a history of change and varying resident experiences. You can contact them at (330) 896-1575 or +1 330-896-1575 for inquiries and further information.
Based on the available customer reviews, Mayfield Mobile Home Park appears to be a community that has undergone significant transformation in recent times. One long-term resident, who has lived there for eight years and recently purchased a trailer within the park, offers a positive perspective on its current state. This resident stated, "The lot rent is just high enough to keep riff raff out, and make living affordable in a great neighborhood! At one point, the park had a serious problem with the types of ppl that lived here, but since the company quit renting, and only selling units, the park has turned around for the good!" This review suggests that a shift in management policy, moving from rentals to solely selling units, has had a positive impact on the community, leading to an improved neighborhood environment and a level of affordability that the resident appreciates.
However, another review presents a starkly contrasting and highly negative experience. This reviewer stated, "Place sucks is riddle with drug dealers and other shady dealing. It smells, and nobody there has a conscience OR a soul. I said what I said." This strongly critical feedback raises serious concerns about the safety and overall environment of the park, alleging the presence of illegal activities and a negative atmosphere.
The significant disparity between these two reviews indicates a potential period of transition or perhaps differing experiences based on when the reviews were written or the specific location within the park. The positive review explicitly mentions a turnaround "since the company quit renting, and only selling units," suggesting that the negative experiences might predate this policy change.
For individuals considering Mayfield Mobile Home Park as one of the "RV parks near me" or as a potential mobile home residence, it is crucial to consider both perspectives and to seek current information about the park's status and policies. While the positive review suggests an improvement in the community due to the focus on homeownership, the serious allegations in the negative review cannot be ignored and warrant careful consideration.
Given its categorization as a mobile home park, Mayfield Mobile Home Park likely caters primarily to long-term residents who own their mobile homes and lease the land. However, it is possible that some spaces might accommodate recreational vehicles, particularly for those considering long-term stays within the area. Those specifically searching for "RV parks near me" should inquire directly about the availability of RV lots, the types of hookups provided (water, sewer, electricity), and any amenities specifically catering to RVs.
To gain a more comprehensive understanding of Mayfield Mobile Home Park, potential residents should consider the following aspects, keeping in mind the conflicting information from the available reviews:
- Current Management Policies: Confirming whether the park is currently selling units exclusively and what impact this has had on the community environment.
- Safety and Security Measures: Inquiring about any security protocols in place to ensure the safety of residents, especially in light of the serious allegations made in one of the reviews.
- Lot Rent and Fees: Understanding the current lot rental rates and any additional fees or charges. The positive review mentions a rate that helps maintain the community's quality.
- Community Environment: While one review praises the "great neighborhood" and welcoming atmosphere among homeowners, the other paints a very different picture. It is essential to get a current assessment of the community from the management and potentially by visiting the park.
- Amenities: Inquiring about any amenities offered within the park, such as laundry facilities, recreational areas, or community centers.
- Pet Policies: Understanding the rules and regulations regarding pets, if applicable.
As the provided reviews do not mention any specific promotional information, it is advisable to contact the management directly at (330) 896-1575 or +1 330-896-1575 to inquire about any current incentives for purchasing a home within the park or for long-term RV stays, if that is an option.
In conclusion, Mayfield Mobile Home Park presents a complex picture based on the limited available reviews. One long-term resident suggests a positive transformation due to a shift towards homeownership, resulting in an improved neighborhood and a sense of affordability. However, another review raises serious concerns about the park's safety and environment. For individuals considering Mayfield Mobile Home Park as one of the "RV parks near me" or as a potential mobile home residence, it is crucial to conduct thorough due diligence. This includes contacting the management for current information on policies and the community environment, and potentially visiting the park to assess its current state firsthand. The significant divergence in the provided feedback underscores the importance of obtaining up-to-date and comprehensive information before making a decision.

I've lived here for 8 years. Just a year ago, decided to buy a trailer here. The lot rent is just high enough to keep riff raff out, and make living affordable in a great neighborhood! At one point, the park had a serious problem with the types of ppl that lived here, but since the company quit renting, and only selling units, the park has turned around for the good!

Feb 24, 2025 · Jo “Floppy Joopoo” PoThere has been alot of maintenance done over this past year and the park is actually looking great. Tracy, does an amazing job on staying on top of making sure things get done. She goes above and beyond to make the park look a place ud want to live. That area where all that shrubs were, she cleaned n looks so good. And she takes care of all the she says he says drama. Bc of her I've seen a complete turn around there.
Dec 11, 2022 · Jess RayThe lot rent is very reasonable. The management staff has always been very helpful. The neighbors are very friendly towards each other. Criminal activity is not tolerated by the park owners. I lived there over a decade. Believe I know what Im talking about.
