Misty Glen Mobile Home Park Introduce
For local users in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, who are exploring options under the category of "RV parks near me" or are considering mobile home parks for potential long-term residency, Misty Glen Mobile Home Park, located at 6301 W Misty Glen Pl, Sioux Falls, SD 57106, USA, presents a community with contrasting feedback regarding its physical appearance and its management style. Based on the available customer reviews, potential residents should be aware of both the aesthetic appeal of the park and the reported challenges with the park's management.
One detailed review acknowledges that Misty Glen Mobile Home Park is a "beautiful place" where "everything is kept really nice." This suggests that the park takes pride in its appearance and maintains a visually appealing environment. The well-kept nature of the park can be a significant draw for individuals who value aesthetics and a clean living space. However, this positive aspect is juxtaposed with serious concerns regarding the park's management, specifically the woman in charge.
The reviewer describes the manager as "not friendly" and alleges that she "seems she's always making up new rules to suit her needs." This raises concerns about the consistency and fairness of the park's regulations. The reviewer further claims that the manager "does not treat everyone equally," advising potential residents not to get on her "bad side." This suggests a potential for favoritism or inconsistent enforcement of rules, which can lead to an unequal and potentially stressful living environment for some residents. The reviewer indicates that a "majority here in this park" agree with this assessment of the management.
Specific examples of the alleged restrictive rules are provided. One instance involves a prohibition on having a trailer in one's driveway, even temporarily for a short period or for maintenance. The reviewer finds this particularly unreasonable given that residents pay rent on their driveways. They also mention a general prohibition on working on vehicles or other items in one's own driveway. These rules are perceived as overly controlling and dictatorial, with the reviewer drawing a comparison to a "prison" in terms of the perceived lack of autonomy over one's own rented space. Despite these issues with management, the reviewer personally states, "I love it here," highlighting the appealing physical environment of the park. However, they also express a limit to how much residents can be pushed and suggest that the collective sentiment of the majority might eventually lead to change.
The reviewer's advice to potential residents is to "not to get on her bad side like many others, and I have." They also suggest keeping a "documented harassment ledger close by, just in case," explicitly referencing laws against bullying. This serious recommendation underscores the level of concern and potential conflict that some residents reportedly experience with the management. The reviewer, who identifies as usually being a "real rule follower," indicates that the manager "pushes the boundaries of being in charge" and is unwilling to make exceptions or show kindness or humanity, prioritizing control over residents.
The review concludes with a stark piece of advice: "living in this community is a choice, so choose wisely and live here with the rest of us!!!" This suggests that while the park has its positive aspects (the aesthetics), potential residents must carefully weigh these against the reported negative experiences with the management. The mention of "plenty of homes for sale" could be interpreted in various ways, but in the context of the review, it might hint at a degree of turnover within the community.
A second, shorter review reinforces the negative feedback about the management, stating simply, "Bad management! The woman in charge is a rude individual who believes she is God. I wouldn't recommend anyone to live there!" This concise but forceful statement corroborates the concerns raised in the more detailed review, further highlighting significant issues with the park's leadership and interpersonal interactions.
Considering these two reviews, Misty Glen Mobile Home Park presents a situation where a well-maintained and beautiful physical environment is potentially overshadowed by serious concerns regarding the management's behavior, rule enforcement, and interpersonal interactions with residents. Potential residents must carefully weigh the aesthetic appeal of the park against the reported negative experiences with the manager, including allegations of rudeness, unequal treatment, and overly restrictive rules.
For local users searching under the category of "RV parks near me," the provided information does not indicate whether Misty Glen Mobile Home Park accommodates recreational vehicles. As a mobile home park, its primary focus is likely on long-term residents in manufactured homes. RV owners should contact the park directly to inquire about the availability of RV sites, if any, and the terms and amenities offered.
For individuals considering long-term residency in a mobile home at Misty Glen Mobile Home Park, it is crucial to conduct thorough due diligence beyond simply observing the park's appearance. Contacting the management at (605) 362-4705 or +1 605-362-4705 to inquire about rules, regulations, and management policies is essential. Speaking with current residents, if possible, could provide a more balanced perspective on the living experience and the validity of the concerns raised in the online reviews.
The available information does not include any promotional offers for Misty Glen Mobile Home Park. Potential residents should inquire directly with the management about any current incentives or special deals for new homeowners or renters.
In conclusion, Misty Glen Mobile Home Park in Sioux Falls appears to be a visually appealing and well-maintained community. However, significant concerns have been raised by multiple reviewers regarding the unfriendliness, perceived unfairness, and overly restrictive nature of the park's management. Potential residents should carefully consider these reported issues and conduct thorough personal research before deciding to reside in this community. The decision to live at Misty Glen Mobile Home Park seems to hinge on an individual's tolerance for a potentially strict and, according to some residents, challenging management style, despite the park's aesthetic qualities.

Misty Glen Mobile Home Park Reviews
It's a beautiful place. Everything is kept really nice, but the woman in charge isn't friendly. It seems she's always making up new rules to suit her needs. She does not treat everyone equally, so don't get on her bad side, Personally, i don't care one way or another. But it seems to be a majority here in this park, that agree!!! For instance, a trailer in my driveway is prohibited, i can see if it were an eyesore or if it were to be there for more than a week, but that's not the case. You can't work on it or anything in your driveway that you pay rent on. She dictates people's lives, kind of like a prison, so to speak, if you can handle that, then this is the place to live!!! Personally, I love it here. But 1 person can only be pushed so far, and then the majority will dictate. Hopefully, people will change and see what they've become because laws against bullying are there for a reason, so keep a documented harassment ledger close by, just in case!!! I'm usually a real rule fallower, but there are times she pushes the boundaries of being in charge. There are times when exceptions are asked and needed, she is not going to lose her control over the people just to be kind or human to anyone!! So my advice is not to get on her bad side like many others, and I have. Now I've stated my experience here, living in this community is a choice, so choose wisely and live here with the rest of us!!! There are plenty of homes for sale!!

Jan 15, 2025 · Tesa loeraNice place but the manager who is in charge is ridiculous. She makes up random rules for certain people. You can't trim any branches unless you contact them and they do it (which takes forever for them to respond or get ahold of). I had some rubbing on my roof so trimmed them and put them in my trailer. Apparently we can't have any trailers, campers, etc on the property to clean stuff up and haul which is absurd especially since we are paying a stupid amount for lot rent. They have an RV, trailer storage lot but yet won't let us park them in there unless you get ahold of them to open it literally every time you bring it in and out. She always has an attitude and thinks she's God's gift to man. An overall nice place but just having this lady in charge is enough to stay away from this place. It's a joke.

Mar 06, 2025 · Tonia CI lived there twice. Once 12 years ago. Great manager was running it. Staff was friendly and helpful. Clean and quite place to live. No one bothered you. Moved away for years. Moved back into misty glen in 2020. Lived there for 3.5 miserable years. The manager Shannon has got to be the biggest witch I have ever met. I would never suggest anyone to move into misty glen . Unless you enjoy getting notes on your door being harassed weekly. Was told we can't put license plates on vehicles in the court as that is mechanical work. New tags for vehicles were due Feb. First week of March new tags were not on yet. I had them just had not put them on yet. Was told vehicles will be towed in 24 hrs. Had a small trailer moving into my house. Was told can't have a trailer. Not sure how she expects people to move in. Constantly told to mow. I attached a picture the day I had a letter to mow. The way far back is no longer our yard. Was when I moved in. Manager decided not to let us use that so now they mow that. As you can see in picture my grass was not any longer then the grass they mow. I could go on and on bout the letters we received. So many neighbors moved out while I was there and every single one of their reasons for leaving was Shannon. Very sad she turned that court into a miserable place to live.
