Red Barn RV Park Introduce
Looking for reliable and conveniently located RV parks near you in the Tea, South Dakota area? Red Barn RV Park, situated at 47005 272nd St, Tea, SD 57064, offers a local option for RV travelers and camping enthusiasts. While online information might be limited and mixed, this introduction aims to provide a comprehensive overview based on available details, including direct contact information and recent customer feedback, to help local users make informed decisions.
Red Barn RV Park is accessible by phone at (605) 368-2268 or via mobile at +1 605-368-2268. This direct contact information allows potential local visitors to inquire about availability, specific amenities, and current rates directly with the park management. Reaching out can provide the most up-to-date details for those considering a stay.
Based on the limited online presence, it's challenging to definitively describe the park's environment and specific features. Typically, RV parks offer a range of site types to accommodate different sizes of recreational vehicles, often including back-in and pull-through sites. Essential services usually encompass electrical hookups (varying amperage such as 30 and 50 amp), water connections, and sewage disposal. Additional common amenities can include restrooms with showers, laundry facilities, and potentially recreational areas such as playgrounds or open spaces. However, specific details regarding Red Barn RV Park's environment (e.g., wooded, open field), the condition of its facilities, and the availability of extra features require direct inquiry.
To offer a balanced perspective, it's crucial to consider the available customer reviews. One review from a guest who stayed on September 20, 2024, for a single night after making a reservation in July, mentions a check-in with a pleasant staff member named Brian. However, this review also describes the campground's visible area as "fairly rundown," leading to a decision not to return. The primary issue highlighted in this review concerns a billing discrepancy where the guest was allegedly charged for a night they did not stay (September 11, 2024). The attempts to resolve this issue reportedly involved multiple calls, communication with Brian and another unnamed woman, and ultimately resulted in the guest filing a fraudulent charge claim with their credit card company after a promised refund check never arrived. This account raises concerns about management practices and customer service responsiveness.
In contrast, another review from a guest who "stayed for a while" offers a more positive, albeit less detailed, perspective. This guest acknowledges "some family drama that made a hiccup in the way the campground was" but praises the owners for being "very accommodating." They describe the location as a "quiet place" that occasionally seemed "a little over crowded." Despite this minor drawback, they recommend staying at Red Barn RV Park, describing it as a "very nice campground." This feedback suggests that while there might have been internal issues, the owners were perceived as helpful, and the overall atmosphere was generally pleasant and quiet for longer-term stays.
Considering these contrasting experiences, local users interested in Red Barn RV Park should exercise caution and due diligence. It would be prudent to contact the park directly to inquire about the current state of the facilities, specific amenities offered, and their reservation and billing procedures. Asking about recent upgrades or changes in management might also provide valuable insights.
For local residents or those planning trips within South Dakota, the "RV parks near me" category aims to connect users with convenient lodging options for their recreational vehicles. Red Barn RV Park's location in Tea, SD, might be advantageous for those seeking proximity to the town or surrounding areas. However, potential guests should weigh the convenience of the location against the mixed reviews regarding the park's condition and customer service.
As a local option, Red Barn RV Park could potentially offer a more personalized experience compared to larger, more corporate campgrounds. The mention of accommodating owners in one review suggests a willingness to address guest needs. However, the negative billing experience detailed in the other review is a significant concern that prospective visitors should be aware of.
Promotional information for Red Barn RV Park is not readily available online. Local users might find it beneficial to inquire directly about any seasonal discounts, long-stay rates, or special offers that might be available. Visiting the park in person, if feasible, could also provide a firsthand assessment of the environment and facilities before making a reservation.
In conclusion, Red Barn RV Park in Tea, South Dakota, presents a local option for RV parking. While one customer review highlights significant issues with the park's condition and billing practices, another suggests accommodating owners and a generally quiet atmosphere. Local users considering a stay at Red Barn RV Park should contact the management directly at (605) 368-2268 or +1 605-368-2268 to obtain current information about the park's environment, services, features, and any ongoing promotions. It is recommended to ask detailed questions about reservation policies and billing procedures to ensure a smooth and satisfactory experience. Given the conflicting feedback, a direct conversation with the park management is crucial for local users to form their own informed opinion and decide if Red Barn RV Park meets their specific needs and expectations for an "RV park near me."

Red Barn RV Park Reviews
Our stay at Red Barn was a one night stay 09/20/24. Our reservation for this was made in July. We arrived and checked in with Brian, he was pleasant. We went to our site, didn't venture from it and left early the next morning. The campground, at least the part we saw appeared to be fairly rundown, that's all I'll say as we will never stay there again. Our problems began when we were back home and checking the charges on our credit card statement. They had also charged us for 09/11/24. We called and were told we had made a reservation for that evening and never showed up. Completely untrue and if that's the case why didn't Brian mention it on the 20th when we checked in.Anyway we asked them to credit our card and they said they couldn't but they could send us a check, it never arrived and when we called back it was like starting at the beginning again. They never had any intention of reimbursing us so we had to file a fraudulent charge claim with our credit card company. The good news is we were credited for the charge. In calling Red Barn, numerous times during this process we spoke with Brian and a woman, not sure of her name. Brian seemed to be a bit more reasonable than the woman, she even hung up on us. Bottom line, there seems to be some real problems with management here and like I said before we will never stay here again.
Nov 17, 2024 · Edward LacroixStayed for a while. Wasn’t bad just some family drama that made a hiccup in the way the campground was but the owners were very accommodating. Quiet place. At times it did seem a little over crowded. Would recommend staying here though. Very nice campground.
Nov 02, 2024 · Hayley MartinGreat little find!Nice sites - with many trees.Decent laundry. There are a few longer term folks but the vibe is good.Site was nice and level and we had a concrete pad next to us (not all sites have).Would definitely stay again.
Aug 08, 2024 · Kat McLernonIt's just off the major road. Your surrounded by tall trees & each site has thick grass they keep cut.The squirrels are fun to watch. The owners, the Fogelmans, are very nice folks. We will stay here next time we're in the area.
Sep 21, 2024 · Lynn BonserPleasant owners and very accommodating. Brian guided me to my spot and spoke with me for a while. This place is very quiet even known that there are kids in the rig next to mine. They are strict about the speed in the campground. Laundry room has plenty of machines with a good price, plenty of room to walk pets. Will definitely return if in this area.
