Orange Harbor MHC Introduce
For local users in the Fort Myers, Florida area seeking "RV parks near me" that cater specifically to the 55+ active adult community, Orange Harbor MHC, located at 5749 Palm Beach Blvd, Fort Myers, FL 33905, USA, presents itself as a potentially ideal choice. While primarily a mobile home park (MHC), it offers amenities and a community atmosphere that may appeal to those seeking long-term RV living within a vibrant senior environment. Based on the available customer reviews, Orange Harbor MHC is lauded for its cleanliness, active social scene, and close-knit community, although it's important to note the reported 55+ age restriction.
The environment at Orange Harbor MHC is consistently praised in one of the provided reviews as "Perfection!" The reviewer highlights the park as being "everything you need in a home away from home, or a permanent home!" This suggests a comfortable and well-maintained setting suitable for both temporary and long-term residents. A significant aspect of the environment appears to be the strong sense of community, described as "close-knit," "very happy," and "accepting." This social element can be a major draw for those looking for a welcoming and engaging place to live or stay in their RV.
Furthermore, the park is commended for its exceptional cleanliness, with the reviewer stating it is "the cleanest mobile home park I have ever seen!" This emphasis on maintenance and hygiene contributes significantly to the overall quality of life and enjoyment for residents and visitors alike. The mention of "beautiful palms and sunsets" in Florida adds to the appeal of the location, suggesting a pleasant and scenic setting.
The services and features at Orange Harbor MHC, as indicated by the positive review, cater to an active senior lifestyle. These include:
- Heated Pool: A heated pool is a significant amenity, allowing for year-round enjoyment and a great way to socialize and stay active.
- Various Clubhouse Events: The presence of clubhouse events suggests a vibrant social calendar, offering opportunities for residents to connect and participate in organized activities.
- Light 'Sporting' Events: The mention of "other light 'sporting' events" indicates that the park encourages physical activity and provides avenues for friendly competition and recreation.
However, it is crucial to consider the information presented in the second review, which describes a "horrible experience" involving the use of the pickleball facilities. This review raises concerns about the park's policies regarding visitors and the clarity of property boundaries. The reviewer states they were asked to leave while playing pickleball, despite their grandparents residing in the park. The reasons given were a lack of information about their grandparents' residence. This incident highlights a potential issue with visitor policies and communication, particularly regarding access to amenities. The reviewer also noted the absence of "private property or no trespassing" signs in the area where they were playing.
Considering the platform category "RV parks near me," Orange Harbor MHC, while offering a positive experience for many within its 55+ demographic, presents a mixed picture due to the visitor policy issue raised in the second review. For local users who are 55 and older and seeking a clean, active community with amenities like a heated pool and clubhouse events, Orange Harbor MHC appears to be a strong contender. The emphasis on a close-knit and accepting environment is also a significant positive feature.
However, potential residents who anticipate having younger visitors who might want to utilize the park's amenities should be aware of the reported incident and inquire specifically about the visitor policies, particularly concerning the use of recreational facilities. The lack of clear signage, as mentioned in the negative review, could also be a point of clarification with the management.
Promotional information is not explicitly provided in the reviews. For local users who meet the 55+ age requirement and are interested in learning more about long-term RV living or mobile home options at Orange Harbor MHC, it is recommended to contact them directly at (239) 694-3707 or +1 239-694-3707. Inquiring about lot availability, lease terms, community rules (especially regarding visitors and amenity access), and any current promotions would be beneficial. Given the positive feedback regarding the community and amenities, it may be worthwhile to schedule a visit to experience the park firsthand, keeping in mind the reported visitor policy concerns.
In conclusion, Orange Harbor MHC in Fort Myers offers a clean, active, and close-knit community environment with appealing amenities such as a heated pool and clubhouse events, primarily catering to the 55+ age group. The positive review strongly recommends it for those within this demographic. However, the negative review regarding visitor access to amenities, specifically the pickleball court, raises a point of concern that potential residents should address with the management to ensure clarity on park policies. For local seniors seeking "RV parks near me" with a strong sense of community and active lifestyle, Orange Harbor MHC is worth investigating further, with a clear understanding of the stated age restrictions and visitor guidelines.

Orange Harbor MHC Reviews
Orange Harbor is Perfection! It is everything you need in a home away from home, or a permanent home! It is a close-knit community and very happy and accepting. They have a heated pool, various clubhouse events, and other light 'sporting' events. It is also the cleanest mobile home park I have ever seen!I would highly recommend all of you check it out, but only if you are 55 and older! I would highly recommend this place!P.S. Florida has beautiful palms and sunsets.
Nov 27, 2021 · Emma MillerHorrible experience. We were playing pickleball and got kicked out despite our grandparents living here. A lady who claims to “own the park” send unless we tell her where our grandparents live, we had to leave. Two issues, one; there is not a private property or no trespassing sign anywhere on property; I checked. Two, our grandparents live there and we aren’t obligated to give out that information if we don’t want to.I would love to hear back from someone regarding this situation.
Apr 08, 2025 · Zacharius RexThis park is beautiful. The rv side is not 55+ they are very nice to children here too which I thought was going to be an issue because it is surrounded by a 55+ community. I cannot wait for my husband to get another job at the power plant again so I can stay here. I called them, the lady was so nice on the phone. Got there and the manager got me all set up, just an all around nice welcoming guy. Had an issue with me and a tree backing up, they were super quick with a solution for me, real life and rig savers. The pool is really nice, the grounds are very clean and good size lots, we never went into the community. They can for sure accommodate big RV's. Did I mention gated??? Security that patrols. Washer machines and dryers and cheap and work great, you never see that at an rv resort anymore. Fishing is on point, I went every night with the kids. Never had a noise issue. Never had any issue at all. I just wished I had got to stay longer. Book this place anytime you are near, you will not regret it.
Mar 06, 2020 · Leah PettyLovely place. With lots of amenities.
Apr 23, 2025 · Ketty TurinoWe have been here for 4 weeks and it’s our favorite spot. Nice people, quiet neighborhood, lots of activities. Close to everything. We stayed in the rv part and we will be back here in May!
