Paddock Park South Introduce
For local users in the Ocala, Florida area who are exploring housing options and searching within the category of "RV parks near me," it's important to also consider the availability of mobile home parks, particularly those catering to the 55 and over demographic, as a potential long-term living solution. While our platform primarily focuses on recreational vehicle parks for temporary stays, communities like Paddock Park South, located at 8880 SW 27th Ave, Ocala, FL 34476, USA, offer a different type of residential experience focused on community living and long-term affordability for seniors.
Based on the limited customer reviews available, Paddock Park South appears to be a "nice park" with "reasonable lot rent," making it an attractive option for those seeking budget-friendly living in the Ocala area. The fact that "people seemed very welcoming" suggests a friendly and inclusive community atmosphere, which is often a significant factor for individuals looking to settle into a new residential environment, especially within a 55 and over setting.
One reviewer specifically describes Paddock Park South as an "affordable up and coming 55 and over park" and highlights its "awesome pool area." This suggests that the community is actively developing and offers appealing recreational amenities tailored to the interests of active adults and seniors. A well-maintained pool area can serve as a central hub for social interaction, exercise, and relaxation, contributing significantly to the quality of life within the park.
However, one review also presents a cautionary note regarding a specific property within the park, identified as "#A35," which the reviewer was interested in purchasing. This individual mentions noticing "issues" and "damage" to the property and expresses concern about an "unrealistic and ignorant owner who wants full price for unfinished work." This feedback, while specific to a particular home sale within the park, underscores the importance of thoroughly inspecting any property before purchase, even within a well-regarded community. It also suggests that while the park itself may be nice, individual property owners' practices can vary.
Despite the issue raised regarding a specific property sale, the overall sentiment towards Paddock Park South as a park appears positive, particularly concerning its affordability, welcoming atmosphere, and amenities like the pool. The description of it as an "up and coming" 55 and over park suggests that it may be undergoing improvements or expansions, potentially adding further value for residents in the future.
In terms of environment, the reviews do not provide extensive details about the landscaping, common areas, or overall aesthetic of Paddock Park South. However, the mention of a "nice park" implies a generally pleasant setting. Mobile home parks designed for the 55 and over demographic often prioritize a peaceful and well-maintained environment conducive to comfortable living for seniors.
Regarding services and features beyond the pool area, the available reviews are limited. However, typical mobile home parks offer essential utilities such as water, sewer, and electrical hookups for each lot. Depending on the community, additional services and features might include laundry facilities, community centers or clubhouses for social activities, recreational areas for games or sports, and possibly organized events or activities for residents. The mention of a "welcoming" atmosphere suggests that there may be a social element within the park that fosters community engagement.
Promotional information is not explicitly provided in the reviews. However, the description of "affordable" lot rent and the park being "up and coming" might suggest competitive pricing or potential investment opportunities for those looking to purchase a home within the community. Interested individuals should contact Paddock Park South directly to inquire about current lot rental rates, home availability (for sale or lease), and any special offers or incentives for new residents.
To gain a more comprehensive understanding of Paddock Park South, prospective residents are encouraged to contact the park management directly using the provided phone number: (352) 873-1338 or +1 352-873-1338. Inquiries should include details about lot rent, amenities offered, community rules and regulations, the availability of homes for sale or lease, and any specific services provided to residents. Visiting the park in person would also be beneficial to assess the environment, the condition of the facilities, and the overall atmosphere of the community.
In conclusion, while Paddock Park South is a 55 and over mobile home park and not an "RV park near me" in the traditional sense, it offers an affordable and welcoming long-term living option for seniors in Ocala, Florida. The "awesome pool area" is a significant amenity, and the "up and coming" nature of the park suggests potential for future improvements and a growing community. However, the cautionary note regarding a specific property sale highlights the importance of thorough inspection when considering purchasing a home within the park. Overall, Paddock Park South appears to be a potentially attractive option for those seeking an affordable and engaging 55+ community in the Ocala area, and direct contact with the park management is recommended for further details.

Paddock Park South Reviews
Nice park, reasonable lot rent, people seemed very welcoming but if your interested in #A35, which I was looking to buy. Here are some pictures of issues I noticed of damage. The unrealistic and ignorant owner who wants full price for unfinished work. You were informed incorrectly this house is not "gold", just look for yourself...
Apr 28, 2021 · Gia PecoraAffordable up and coming 55 and over park . Awesome pool area.
Mar 27, 2025 · Stauch MattiI had a great time I have family that lives there and we went for Thanksgiving.
Jan 30, 2025 · Dylan KinneHave lived here for several years and overall a good experience. Lot rents do keep going up (but still cheaper that most other parks in area), but park is clean, well-managed and safe. Please keep in mind that negative comments on this park are from disenfranchised former HOA manager. Park is much better run than some would advertise. They are putting in new homes when those that are 30+ years old are no longer needed by owners (moved on to just or other rewards). Very friendly people, mostly who mind their business, mostly!
Nov 20, 2019 · Doris NoletteWe moved here a month ago when our mortgage fell thru in OTOW thru no fault of our own, we needed to find a place quick as our house in NC had sold & we were staying in an Airb&b. Will & Melissa were great to deal with. We were able to rent until we closed. We bought a newer home, there are mostly older homes here, but well taken care of. They do a background check so we are protected from criminals. The lot rent is reasonable. It is a quiet community & everyone seems friendly. We are making the best of the situation & think we'll be happy here.Fast forward one year.....we bought a house. The manager Melissa is great to deal with. The park is getting a lot of new homes in, so looks better. I would only give it 4 stars now because of three very mean spirited people. Carol S, Cathi & Mean Gene. Not bad out of 100s of people. Theres a lot of Holiday parties, bingo, pristine pool & hot tub. Unfortunately we had to pay taxes too. I would live there if I couldn't afford a house most people keep their homes nice & are friendly. .Better than an apt, you have a yard & can plant flowers. You are allowed large dogs here.
