Rend Lake Mobile Home Park Introduce
For local users exploring 'RV parks near me' in the Benton, Illinois area, Rend Lake Mobile Home Park, located at 231 S Court St, Benton, IL 62812, presents a residential community with limited but direct feedback available online. While the park primarily offers mobile home living, it's possible that it may also accommodate RVs for longer-term stays, thus potentially appearing in searches for 'RV parks near me'. The available reviews offer a glimpse into the living environment, highlighting both a positive and significant negative aspect.
One reviewer describes Rend Lake Mobile Home Park as a "quiet place to live." This suggests that the community may offer a peaceful and low-noise environment, which can be a significant draw for individuals seeking a tranquil residential setting. A quiet atmosphere can contribute to a sense of calm and relaxation, making it appealing to those who value peace and privacy in their living arrangements.
However, this positive aspect is juxtaposed with notable concerns raised by the same reviewer regarding the behavior of children and pets within the park. The review mentions "lots and lots of unsupervised children at all times" and states that "pets allowed to roam freely no leashes / collars." These observations point to potential safety and nuisance issues within the community. Unsupervised children could lead to disturbances, and unrestrained pets may pose risks to other residents and their pets, as well as sanitation concerns.
The second review provides an extremely negative assessment of the park, stating unequivocally, "This place is just horrible. I would not let a dog live there." This strong condemnation suggests significant and pervasive issues within Rend Lake Mobile Home Park that are severe enough to warrant such a harsh judgment. Without further specifics from this reviewer, the exact nature of these "horrible" aspects remains unclear, but the statement itself is a significant cause for concern for any potential resident.
Considering these limited reviews, Rend Lake Mobile Home Park appears to offer a quiet living environment, which could be appealing to some. However, the concerns raised about unsupervised children and unrestrained pets by one reviewer, coupled with the outright negative condemnation by another, paint a concerning picture. The potential lack of supervision and enforcement of pet control policies could detract significantly from the quality of life within the park and raise safety issues.
For local users searching for 'RV parks near me' who might be considering a mobile home park for an extended stay, the information available on Rend Lake Mobile Home Park suggests a need for thorough investigation. While the quiet atmosphere might be attractive, the reported issues with unsupervised children and roaming pets are significant drawbacks that could impact the peace and safety of residents. The strongly negative second review further underscores the potential for serious problems within the park that are not explicitly detailed.
Given the limited and somewhat conflicting nature of the reviews, it is crucial for potential residents to seek more information before making any decisions about living in Rend Lake Mobile Home Park. Contacting the park directly at (618) 439-6062 or +1 618-439-6062 would be the first step to inquire about current rules and regulations regarding children and pets, as well as to understand the overall management and living environment. A visit to the park to observe these aspects firsthand would be highly recommended. During a visit, potential residents could assess the level of supervision of children, the prevalence of unrestrained pets, the general upkeep of the park, and the interactions among residents and management.
Specifically, inquiries should focus on:
- The park's rules and enforcement regarding the supervision of children.
- The park's pet policies, including leash requirements and owner responsibilities.
- General safety and security measures within the park.
- The overall condition and maintenance of the community.
- Any amenities or services offered by the park.
- The typical demographics of the residents.
Without further information, it is difficult to provide a comprehensive overview of Rend Lake Mobile Home Park. The quiet environment mentioned by one reviewer might be appealing, but the potential issues with unsupervised children and unrestrained pets, along with the strongly negative sentiment of another reviewer, suggest significant risks. Local users searching for 'RV parks near me' who might be considering this mobile home park for long-term living should prioritize thorough investigation and direct observation to determine if the reality of the community aligns with their expectations and needs for a safe and peaceful living environment.
In conclusion, Rend Lake Mobile Home Park in Benton, IL, is described as a quiet place to live by one reviewer, but this is contrasted with concerns about unsupervised children and unrestrained pets. Another reviewer offers a very negative assessment of the park overall. Potential residents should carefully consider these limited insights and conduct thorough due diligence to gain a clearer understanding of the community before making any decisions about residing there.

Quiet place to live. But lots and lots of unsupervised children at all times and pets allowed to roam freely no leashes / collars
Oct 20, 2024 · Chrisandra GilliamThis place is just horrible. I would not let a dog live there.
Dec 29, 2020 · JIMMY LEE LINDSEY SRFirst let me say Gail the property manager is very unprofessional. I can't wait to see her response to this as she is very combative. I tried all day to be nice to her then when I finally say forget it your obviously not doing your job I'll be happy to tell your boss, I get attempted insults. ( ps: Boss if you want to see all the texts I've got them )We were going to buy a mobile home to flip there. She said twice on 2 diff. Days she would call me, and did not. She hung up when I called , supposedly had bad signal. Then when I decided I did not want to deal with management like that and texted her to tell her I didn't appritiate her lack of professional skills she went on to say I dont sign her check and I should watch what I say to people I want somthing from ( because she is totally in the power to deny me because of what I say ) and to that of course is one thing... Discrimination . So even if I had decided to purchase said property did I just hear you would tell me no because you said you didn't like the foot we got off on ???? Hmmmm pretty sure you can NOT discriminate against someone because you dont like them. ( that may be against the law? Just saying ... ) oh yeah and I'm the bad guy for expressing my thoughts to her lying to is ( twice ) ok :) Now to end it all. I have no problem with the park... only spent 5 mins there. I do however think that if you tell someone somthing multiple times you should do it. Gail did not. Too bad we could have fixed up all them empty mobile homes out there for you. Would have been a nice deal.
May 21, 2019 · RT HGreat place to live. The new managers Mike and Becky seem like super nice and helpful people. Mike even helped me unload my truck. Quiet and peaceful.
