This Was An Ok, basic Spot To Overnight; pretty expensive at $60/night, but they did give either Sr discount or veteran discount of 10%. This is certainly not a resort, and is at least a quarter mile from White River, feeding Beaver Lake. Pretty Large RV PK, With Many Permanent Residents. No sign at entrance, and we passed it by winding around a neighborhood of houses that was between the RV Park and the true water’s Edge.Verizon signal was good at 3 jiggers; and stronger than their wifi. We were about 100 yds from nice new looking bathhouse which had wifi antenna with good reception at bathhouse but weak at our camper. Supposedly there are repeaters to amplify the WiFi signal, but they were not operational. We got by streaming YouTube TV through our Verizon Hotspot on our phones. We had to buy an extra sewer hose to connect to sewer, as it was placed so far toward entrance of the site, rather than toward rear of site where electric and water were appropriately placed. Nice courteous staff. We were on a level, narrow concrete pad; ~half of sites were gravel; no picnic table. - David Butcher

Rivers Edge RV and Stables Introduce

If you are searching for "RV parks near me" in the Springdale, Arkansas area, Rivers Edge RV and Stables, located at 20751 Blue Springs Village Rd, Springdale, AR 72764, presents a somewhat complex picture based on recent customer reviews. While the name suggests a proximity to water and the unique feature of stables, potential guests should be aware of both the positive and negative aspects highlighted by those who have stayed at the park.

One reviewer described Rivers Edge RV and Stables as an "ok, basic spot to overnight." This suggests that the park provides fundamental services for a short stay. However, this same reviewer also noted that the nightly rate of $60 was "pretty expensive" for what was offered. They did mention receiving a senior or veteran discount of 10%, which could make the price more palatable for eligible guests. This indicates that while discounts may be available, the standard rate might be higher compared to other options in the area.

The location of Rivers Edge RV and Stables in relation to nearby natural attractions appears to be a point of clarification. The reviewer stated that the park "is at least a quarter mile from White River, feeding Beaver Lake," and that they passed by a neighborhood of houses situated between the RV park and the actual water's edge. This suggests that while the name implies immediate river access, the reality might be a bit more removed. Potential guests looking for direct waterfront access should take this into consideration and perhaps verify the distance and accessibility to the river and lake with the park management.

The size of Rivers Edge RV and Stables is noted as "Pretty Large," with "Many Permanent Residents." This is a common characteristic of some RV parks and can contribute to a sense of community. However, it might also mean a different atmosphere compared to parks primarily catering to short-term travelers. The presence of many permanent residents could influence the availability of short-term spots and the overall ambiance of the park.

Navigating to Rivers Edge RV and Stables might present an initial challenge, as one reviewer pointed out, "No sign at entrance, and we passed it by winding around a neighborhood of houses that was between the RV Park and the true water’s Edge." This lack of clear signage could lead to confusion upon arrival, so potential guests might want to obtain detailed directions or look for specific landmarks to avoid missing the entrance.

In terms of connectivity, one reviewer reported that the Verizon signal was "good at 3 jiggers," and stronger than the park's Wi-Fi. They also noted a "nice new looking bathhouse" located about 100 yards from their site, which had a Wi-Fi antenna with good reception at the bathhouse but weak at their camper. While the park supposedly has repeaters to amplify the Wi-Fi signal, these were reportedly "not operational" during this guest's stay. This suggests that relying on personal mobile hotspots might be necessary for reliable internet access at your RV site.

Practical considerations at the RV sites also varied. One guest on a level, narrow concrete pad had to purchase an extra sewer hose because the connection was located far toward the entrance of the site, rather than near the electrical and water hookups. This indicates potential variability in site layouts and the placement of utility connections. Approximately half of the sites were gravel, and this particular reviewer noted the absence of a picnic table at their concrete site.

Another reviewer had a significantly negative experience, particularly concerning a pull-through concrete slab site rented for a 44 ft toy hauler during the Bikes, Blues and BBQ event. They reported that there were rocks and gravel all around the slab, making it difficult to unload motorcycles safely. The incline of rocks to get onto the slab forced them to pull out into the street to lower the ramp, creating a potentially hazardous situation. The gravel at the front of the RV was described as "extremely loose." This guest also recounted a negative interaction with a neighbor who complained about them blocking the road while unloading.

Further issues reported by this guest included a loud and constantly running AC unit on a nearby trailer, the absence of a grill or picnic table at their site, huge holes in the road within the park (dangerous for bikes and potentially damaging to RV tires and axles), and the hilly terrain combined with gravel, making maneuvering a large RV difficult. Additionally, they found the park to be far from I-49 and about a 30-minute drive to Pig Trail HD, where much of the rally was taking place.

Based on these reviews, Rivers Edge RV and Stables presents a mixed picture:

  • Basic Overnight Spot: May serve as a functional place for a short stay.
  • Potentially Expensive: The nightly rate might be high relative to the amenities offered, though discounts may apply.
  • Distance from Water: Not directly on the water's edge, with a neighborhood situated between the park and the river/lake.
  • Large Park with Permanent Residents: A significant number of long-term residents may influence the park's atmosphere.
  • Signage Issues: The entrance may be difficult to locate due to a lack of clear signage.
  • Variable Wi-Fi: Wi-Fi reception may be weak or unreliable at RV sites, with better reception at the bathhouse.
  • Inconsistent Site Layouts: Utility hookup placements and site surfaces (concrete vs. gravel) can vary, and amenities like picnic tables may be missing.
  • Maneuvering Challenges: Hilly terrain and gravel surfaces may make it difficult to maneuver large RVs, especially for pull-through sites with surrounding obstacles.
  • Potential for Noise Issues: Loud neighboring AC units can detract from the quiet enjoyment of the park.
  • Road Conditions: Significant potholes within the park can pose a hazard.
  • Inconvenient Location for Some Events: May be a considerable distance from certain local attractions or events.
  • Courteous Staff: At least one reviewer noted "Nice courteous staff."

For local users searching for "RV parks near me" in Springdale, AR, Rivers Edge RV and Stables offers a basic option with potentially friendly staff. However, it is crucial to weigh the reported drawbacks, including the cost, distance from the water, potential Wi-Fi issues, inconsistent site conditions, and challenges with maneuvering larger RVs. The negative experience of one guest with a large toy hauler, particularly concerning site access and safety for unloading, should be carefully considered by those with similar setups.

Given the lack of specific promotional information in the provided reviews, potential guests are strongly advised to contact Rivers Edge RV and Stables directly at (479) 263-0630 or +1 479-263-0630 to inquire about current rates, site availability, specific amenities at individual sites, Wi-Fi reliability, and the condition of the park roads and grounds. Asking about signage at the entrance and the proximity and accessibility to the White River and Beaver Lake would also be beneficial. Understanding the current conditions and offerings directly from the management will help local users determine if Rivers Edge RV and Stables meets their needs and expectations for an RV park in the Springdale area.
