Riverside Village & RV Park Introduce
Located at 2954 NY-28 in Portlandville, New York, Riverside Village & RV Park is a community that appears to offer both mobile home living and accommodations for recreational vehicles. Situated in Otsego County, the park's name suggests a location near a river, potentially offering scenic views and access to water-related activities. For local users searching for "RV parks near me," Riverside Village & RV Park presents itself as an option to consider. However, it is crucial to acknowledge and carefully evaluate the recent feedback from individuals who have experienced the park, as their reviews raise significant concerns regarding the park's management and infrastructure.
The environment surrounding Riverside Village & RV Park in Portlandville, NY, is likely characterized by the natural beauty of the region, potentially including riverfront access as its name implies. The location along NY-28 suggests a degree of accessibility to the surrounding areas and possibly scenic routes. However, one отзыв paints a concerning picture of the internal environment of the park, specifically mentioning the poor condition of the roads. According to this отзыв, the roads are "practically impassable" with "craters...over eight inches deep," posing a hazard, particularly for school children accessing their bus stop. This severe road condition could significantly impact the quality of life for residents and the experience for any RV visitors, making navigation within the park challenging and potentially damaging to vehicles and towing equipment. While the allure of a riverside location might be strong, the reported state of disrepair within the park's infrastructure needs careful consideration.
Information regarding the specific services offered at Riverside Village & RV Park is limited and overshadowed by the negative отзывs concerning management and infrastructure. Typically, mobile home and RV parks provide essential utilities such as water, sewer, and electricity hookups. However, given the отзыв detailing the owner's alleged rudeness and lack of responsiveness to infrastructure issues like the impassable roads, the reliability and quality of these basic services might also be a concern. The отзыв explicitly states that the park has "no boat launch or docks as advertised," indicating a potential discrepancy between advertised amenities and reality. This lack of a boat launch and docks would be a significant drawback for those seeking river access. Potential visitors should inquire specifically about the availability and functionality of essential services and any advertised amenities before making any commitments. The negative отзыв suggests a lack of investment in maintaining the park's infrastructure and a potentially hostile environment created by the management.
The features of Riverside Village & RV Park, based on the отзывs, present a concerning picture. While the potential for a riverside location could be considered a feature, the отзывs strongly detract from any positive aspects. The severely damaged roads are a significant negative feature, impacting safety and the usability of vehicles within the park. The alleged broken promises regarding road repairs by the owner, associated with Lathem Builders, for over a year, indicate a lack of commitment to maintaining the property and addressing residents' concerns. The отзыв describing the owner as "belligerent nasty man" who "curses at you and trys to scare you" paints a picture of a hostile and unhelpful management style. Furthermore, the discrepancy between advertised amenities (boat launch and docks) and the reality of a "run down lot" suggests a lack of integrity in the park's representation. These negative features, as reported by individuals claiming to be residents or visitors, should be carefully considered by anyone contemplating staying at or visiting Riverside Village & RV Park.
The отзывs regarding Riverside Village & RV Park do not highlight any positive features. Instead, they focus on significant issues that would likely deter potential residents or RV visitors. The extremely rude behavior attributed to the owner creates a hostile environment, undermining any sense of community or welcome. The failure to repair the severely damaged roads for an extended period demonstrates a lack of responsibility and disregard for the safety and well-being of residents, including school children. The discrepancy between advertised amenities and the actual condition of the park further erodes trust and suggests a potentially misleading representation. The overall impression from the отзывs is that Riverside Village & RV Park is a poorly managed and maintained property with a hostile owner, making it an undesirable location to rent or visit. The absence of promised amenities like a boat launch and docks further diminishes its appeal, especially for those interested in river-related activities.
Given the overwhelmingly negative отзывs, it is highly unlikely that Riverside Village & RV Park is currently offering any positive promotional information. The focus of the feedback is on severe management issues and infrastructural neglect, which would likely overshadow any attempts at attracting new residents or visitors. Potential promotions, even if offered, would need to be weighed against the significant concerns raised by the existing feedback. It is advisable for anyone considering this park to proceed with extreme caution and seek further information and potentially firsthand accounts that might contradict the strongly negative отзывs. However, based solely on the provided information, there is no indication of any positive promotional aspects; instead, the отзывs serve as a strong warning.
In conclusion, Riverside Village & RV Park in Portlandville, NY, is a mobile home and RV park located near a river. However, recent отзывs paint a concerning picture of the park, citing an extremely rude owner, severely damaged and hazardous roads that have gone unrepaired for an extended period, and a discrepancy between advertised amenities (boat launch and docks) and the actual condition of the park. These отзывs strongly suggest a poorly managed and maintained property that may not provide a positive living or visiting experience. Potential local users searching for "RV parks near me" should be aware of these significant concerns and exercise extreme caution before considering Riverside Village & RV Park. It would be prudent to seek alternative options with more positive and reliable feedback.

Riverside Village & RV Park Reviews
The owner of this park is extremely rude. I wouldn't recommend staying here or even visiting. These people are sure to make your life hell.
Mar 24, 2025 · Sara ParkerOwner of the property Lathem Builders , has promised to repair the road for a year now. It's practically impassable and is a hazard to the school children to get to the bus stop or coming home. Some craters in the road are over eight inches deep. The children have to either walk in the side road mud or negotiate the craters in the road. Those of us with cars that live here or vist family at the park are ruining our cars .Those that tow our boats or mobile homes have to worry about our tow equipment and trucks that are pushed to the limit .The owner which I will not name here is a belligerent nasty man and curses at you and trys to scare you into not bother him.Don't rent here, they have no boat launch or docks as advertised basically a run down lot.
