Salado RV Park Introduce
If you're on the lookout for "RV parks near me" that provide a peaceful retreat in the heart of Texas, consider Salado RV Park, conveniently located at 10511 I-35, Salado, TX 76571, USA. Situated near Temple, this RV park offers a unique experience for travelers seeking a quieter environment amidst mature trees. Salado RV Park caters to individuals who are self-reliant in their RVs, as it's important to note that the park does not currently offer a bathhouse or laundry facilities on-site.
One recent review describes Salado RV Park as a "quiet hidden gem with mature trees close to Temple," making it an appealing option for those working in or visiting the Temple area. The reviewer, who stayed at the park while working nearby, explicitly mentioned that it was a "good choice" and indicated a strong intention to return. This positive feedback highlights the park's tranquil atmosphere and its proximity to Temple as key advantages for certain travelers exploring "Texas campgrounds".
The presence of "mature trees" suggests a shaded and potentially more scenic environment compared to some other "Texas RV parks". This natural setting can contribute to a more relaxed and enjoyable outdoor experience, allowing guests to feel more connected to nature during their stay. For those who appreciate a more rustic and natural ambiance, Salado RV Park's mature trees could be a significant draw.
It is crucial for prospective guests to understand the self-reliant nature of Salado RV Park. As explicitly stated in a review, "at this location you are self-reliant on your RV. There is not a bathhouse or laundry onsite." This means that guests will need to have their own bathroom and laundry facilities within their recreational vehicles. This characteristic might appeal more to experienced RVers who are accustomed to managing these aspects independently. For those new to RVing or those who rely on communal facilities, Salado RV Park might not be the most suitable option among the various "RV parks near me".
On a positive note regarding safety, the aforementioned reviewer traveling solo "felt safe... with the knowledge they take the extra safety measures during the initial process." This suggests that the management at Salado RV Park prioritizes the security and well-being of their guests, which can be a significant factor for individuals traveling alone or those particularly concerned about safety when choosing "Texas RV parks".
However, it is essential to present a balanced perspective by also considering a negative review. One customer described Salado RV Park as the "worst rv park I’ve ever been in," citing issues with management being run by "multiple third party" entities, difficulty in contacting anyone by phone, and unexpected charges after departure. This review raises concerns about communication, management efficiency, and billing practices. Potential guests should be aware of this feedback and perhaps inquire specifically about these aspects when contacting the park.
Given the contrasting reviews, it's evident that Salado RV Park might offer a specific type of experience that appeals to some while potentially posing challenges for others. The quiet environment and mature trees, coupled with a sense of safety for a solo traveler, are definite positives. However, the lack of on-site bathhouse and laundry facilities requires RVers to be fully self-contained. The negative review regarding management and billing is also a factor that prospective guests should consider and potentially investigate further.
For local users searching for "RV parks near me" close to Temple, Salado RV Park presents itself as a potentially tranquil option for self-reliant RVers who appreciate a setting with mature trees. If you value peace and quiet and have all the necessary facilities within your RV, Salado RV Park could be a good fit. However, if you require or prefer on-site bathhouse and laundry services, or if the negative feedback regarding management raises concerns, you might want to explore other options in the "Texas campgrounds" category.

Salado RV Park Reviews
I stayed at Salado to work near the area. If you are looking for a quiet hidden gem with mature trees close to Temple then Salado RV is a good choice. I will definitely come back, please be mindful that at this location you are self-reliant on your RV. There is not a bathhouse or laundry onsite, but that did not deter me away. I felt safe traveling solo with the knowledge they take the extra safety measures during the initial process.

Dec 28, 2024 · Tague HinkleyWe kept getting different directions to this RV Park. It was quite frustrating. When we finally found the place, it was locked up! There just happened be a man walking his dog saw us & offered to give us the code to open the gate. The messages we left earlier in the day were unanswered. The park's company mngrs replied to my low rating with an apology and explanation. They said they never got my voicemails but appreciated my contacting them again the next day. She said reservations MUST be done online! We never saw a single person... lots of RVs. No services- restrooms or showers. Not good for overnighters.
Jun 18, 2024 · Lily GannonHidden gem and very quiet and quaint. Large lots, very shady with easy access to the hwy. We stayed here for 3 nights while in the area visiting friends. No one else had room and/or wouldn't take us due to the 10 year rule. This place, no problem! Very accommodating and friendly. We enjoyed our time there. Thank you for having us!
Nov 02, 2023 · Pam CostelloI stayed here for a few days when I had truck problems. They recommended a shop, Ashland Auto. Aspen and her husband are very good people. It's a small park with nice size lots. I would stay here again if I'm ever in the area.
