Shipp-Reck Harbor Mobile Home Introduce
For those exploring "RV parks near me" with a focus on long-term or community living in the Winter Haven, Florida area, Shipp-Reck Harbor Mobile Home, situated at 1600 S Lake Shipp Dr, Winter Haven, FL 33880, USA, presents a residential option. You can contact them at (863) 294-4709 or +1 863-294-4709. While primarily a mobile home park, such communities can sometimes accommodate RVs designed for extended stays, offering a different lifestyle compared to traditional short-term RV parks. To provide local users with a detailed introduction, the following information is based on the limited customer feedback available online, focusing on the environment and community aspects.
One notable aspect of Shipp-Reck Harbor Mobile Home's environment is its proximity to Lake Shipp. One reviewer highlighted the lake as a "great spot to take your boat out on the lake or simply have lunch and watch the boats." This suggests that residents of Shipp-Reck Harbor enjoy access to the recreational opportunities and scenic beauty of Lake Shipp, which can be a significant lifestyle benefit for those who appreciate waterfront activities. The review also mentioned a community-led effort, the "Keep Winter Haven Clean Initiative," which focused on the area around Lake Shipp, indicating a sense of community pride and environmental consciousness in the broader neighborhood.
The fact that residents participated in cleaning up litter and debris around Lake Shipp, with support from Winter Haven Public Works, underscores the potential for community engagement and a positive living environment in the vicinity of Shipp-Reck Harbor Mobile Home. The reviewer expressed pride in living in this "great city" and noted that Lake Shipp is becoming an "even cleaner hang out," which indirectly reflects positively on the surroundings of the mobile home park.
However, another review provides a more direct, albeit concerning, personal experience within the community, specifically related to the pool area. A visitor to the grandparents, who are residents of Shipp-Reck Harbor, recounted an unpleasant interaction with a "little Hispanic man" at the pool. According to the review, this individual approached the visitor while they were relaxing with headphones and questioned their presence with a confrontational tone, asking "Where do you belong?!" and instructing them to follow him. Despite the visitor explaining they were there to visit family, the individual threatened to call the police. This incident, while based on one person's account, raises questions about the community's rules regarding visitors and the manner in which they are enforced, particularly at shared amenities like the pool.
The reviewer, while choosing not to escalate the situation due to their affection for the area and their grandparents' residence, expressed that this experience would likely deter them from using the pool during future visits. They acknowledged that the individual might have been "doing his job" but criticized the confrontational and embarrassing manner in which it was handled. This incident suggests a potential lack of clarity or inconsistent application of community rules regarding amenity usage by guests, and possibly a need for more customer-sensitive approaches in managing these situations.
Despite this negative encounter at the pool, the reviewer still considered it a "Good place for the grandparents to live," indicating that overall, the community might offer a suitable living environment for long-term residents. This highlights the potential for a positive living experience for residents themselves, even if guest interactions with certain aspects of the community (like the pool, in this case) could be improved.
Based on these limited reviews, the environment of Shipp-Reck Harbor Mobile Home appears to be closely linked to the appealing Lake Shipp area, offering potential access to boating and lakeside enjoyment. The surrounding community seems to have a sense of civic pride and engagement in maintaining the cleanliness of the area. However, internal community dynamics, particularly concerning the use of shared amenities by guests, might be an area where experiences can vary, and clearer, more welcoming protocols might be beneficial.
Information regarding specific services and features within Shipp-Reck Harbor Mobile Home is scarce in these reviews. The mention of a pool indicates at least one shared amenity available to residents and potentially their guests (though the guest experience at the pool was negative in one instance). Typically, mobile home parks offer essential services such as water, sewer, and electrical hookups for the homes. There might also be common areas, laundry facilities, and possibly social activities, but these are not mentioned in the provided feedback. The focus of the reviews is primarily on the location relative to Lake Shipp and the social interactions experienced.
Similarly, promotional information is not available in the provided reviews. The feedback is centered on personal experiences and observations about the community and its surroundings, rather than any marketing or special offers. To obtain information about current lot fees, residency requirements, available amenities, and any potential promotions, interested individuals would need to contact Shipp-Reck Harbor Mobile Home directly using the provided phone numbers.
In conclusion, Shipp-Reck Harbor Mobile Home offers a residential setting in close proximity to the attractive Lake Shipp in Winter Haven, Florida. The surrounding area benefits from community initiatives focused on cleanliness and likely provides opportunities for lakeside recreation. However, a reported negative experience concerning a visitor's use of the community pool suggests potential issues with guest policies or their enforcement. While one reviewer found it a "Good place for the grandparents to live," prospective residents and their frequent visitors should inquire about the community's rules, especially regarding amenity access for guests, to ensure a comfortable experience for everyone. Due to the limited information on specific services, features, and any promotional offers, direct contact with Shipp-Reck Harbor Mobile Home is recommended for those considering long-term residency in this lakeside community.

Shipp-Reck Harbor Mobile Home Reviews
The Keep Winter Haven Clean Initiative was out and about Lake Shipp and a great community led morning was had with teams in and around the surrounding area picking up litter and debris. Winter Haven Public Works provided a skip and the Keep Winter Haven team provided, gloves, bags, lunch, music and so much more. So proud to live in this great city. Lake Shipp is a great spot to take your boat out on the lake or simply have lunch and watch the boats and now it's an even cleaner hang out.
May 01, 2023 · SandraCame to visit the grandparents & when i do i use the pool for an hour. Well randomly a little Hispanic man came & smacked my chair while laying back quietly with headphones & kind of loudly says "Where do you belong?!" & to follow him ....told him i was there to visit & he said he was going to call the police on me...I just left (no need to speak back or argue, because i like the area for them). Good place for the grandparents to live ,ill still be visiting but i suppose just not the pool aswell when i do. He was doing his job i suppose but why act like that & try to embarrass someone.
Mar 12, 2023 · Sergio RamirezLove living in this park! It is an older park and just large enough so those living in the park feel like family. The homes and yards are well kept. It's quiet and gated. Enough community activities and amenities to make living here a real pleasure. A great 55+ community!!
Feb 10, 2018 · Carol StuckI was actually at Lake Shipp Park with 3 of my 8 grand babies. We took the 4 year old out for his first fishing experience. It was a hoot and a holler...he's the only one who caught anything. Now he's hooked for life.
