The environment surrounding Whisper Mountain RV Park is described by visitors as "beautiful, peaceful, and quiet." Situated in a rural setting in West Virginia, the park offers a chance to immerse yourself in nature. One reviewer mentioned it being "nestled in WV," highlighting the scenic beauty of the location. While specific details about the immediate surroundings, such as hiking trails or water features within the park itself, are not extensively detailed in the provided reviews, the general area of West Virginia is known for its rolling hills, forests, and natural beauty. This suggests that guests can likely enjoy a sense of being surrounded by nature and potentially explore nearby natural attractions if they are willing to travel a bit from the park. The quiet ambiance reported by visitors indicates a setting where you can truly relax and enjoy the sounds of nature, away from the noise of highways and urban areas.
Based on the available reviews, the services at Whisper Mountain RV Park appear to be characterized by friendly and accommodating owners. One guest specifically mentioned that "Judy was very nice and accommodating," and another echoed this sentiment, stating, "Owners were very nice and accommodating." This personal touch can significantly enhance the camping experience, making guests feel welcome and well-cared for. However, it's important to note some potential limitations mentioned in the reviews. One guest pointed out that the bathhouse was "a bit run down," and the laundry facility was "locked up." These are aspects that prospective visitors might want to inquire about when making reservations to ensure they meet their needs. The availability and condition of amenities like restrooms, showers, and laundry facilities can be crucial for a comfortable stay, especially for longer trips. The review also mentioned a "garage" area near one of the pull-thru sites, which might impact privacy for guests staying there.
Whisper Mountain RV Park boasts some unique features that might appeal to certain visitors. Notably, they have "2 sweet miniature horses’ Misty & Mr Nibbles," which were a highlight for one reviewer who expressed their enjoyment of them and wished they had brought more treats. This pet-friendly aspect, with the added charm of miniature horses, could be a significant draw for animal lovers and families with children. The park seems to offer pull-thru sites, as mentioned by a guest who stayed in one that was "easy to get in and out." This is a convenient feature for RVers, especially those with larger rigs who prefer not to back into a space. The secluded nature of the park, while noted as inconvenient by one guest due to its distance from major roads, can also be considered a feature for those seeking a quiet and peaceful escape. The "quaint and pretty secluded" description suggests a more intimate camping experience compared to larger, more commercial RV parks. However, the same review also cautioned about the approach to the park, advising to strictly follow the directions provided by the park and not rely on GPS, as the roads can be "pretty tight," "hilly and curvy," and potentially "sketchy" for big rigs, though seemingly fine for smaller trailers.

Whisper Mountain RV Park Reviews
We stayed here for 1 night on our way north. The campground is NOT convenient to the highway or most any other road for that matter. Its WAY off the beaten path. Definitely follow the directions that they send to you and NOT your own GPS. You will find yourself on some pretty tight "2 lane roads" where if there are 2 cars one of them will have to pull off to let the other pass. Even with the directions the road is pretty small, hilly and curvy. With a big rig kinda sketchy but smaller trailers fine. Once there Judy was very nice and accommodating. The campground is quaint and pretty secluded. We stayed in a pull thru up front which was easy to get in and out but right next to a "garage" area so not very private. The bathhouse was a bit run down and laundry facility was locked up. Not a horrible experience but not very convenient to anything.
Aug 18, 2021 · Steve YadBeautiful campground nestled in WV! My husband and I always take first trip out by ourselves. Property was beautiful, peaceful and quiet. Owners were very nice and accommodating. They had 2 sweet miniature horses” Misty & Mr Nibbles”. I loved them! Wish I had known to bring more apples and carrots. Thank you for a relaxing stay!
Apr 27, 2024 · Andi DellWe stayed at Whisper Mountain in the off season for two months, and it was wonderful. It’s located a bit outside of Weston, WV down a long and winding road- nestled in the valley in the mountains. If you like the smell of honeysuckle- it’s heavenly in the spring. There were a couple other long term campers while we were there and a few weekenders through the months, and so was very quiet and peaceful. There’s a little creek that runs along the side of the property and a pond where we got to see five geese hatch and learn how to swim.We took full advantage of the hiking trails up in the mountains behind the main campground- the paths are wide and clear. Walking up and down the mountain was excellent exercise.Plenty of room for my son to run around and play. They playground was a bit old and could use some improvement, and as others have mentioned, there was no laundry services - but both of those are things I’d consider a luxury while camping (the laundromat isn’t that far away in Weston). There are rustic sites, partial hookup sites, full hookup sites and they have a couple cabins that you can rent by the pond. There is a fire pit and a picnic table at each site. We left before it was warm enough to take advantage of the pool though.Overall, it was my favorite campground that we’ve been to since we bought our RV. Judy was very sweet and worked with us with our ever-changing schedule for how long our stay was going to be.
May 19, 2021 · Amanda LagunasMy family and I have been stay at this campground for years now and enjoyed are stay with them up until last year in June 2023 we booked our 2 sights and a week before are arrival they called and told us are sight was double booked and we had to move to a different location so we did but was given a discount on the other sight and this isn’t the only thing we had problems with the pool being green and little worms in it and the pond for fishing need dug out or something because you can really see the bottom and there were no fish and most of it was dried up but other than that we did still enjoy our selves and stayed but this year in June we will be looking for somewhere else to camp until the pond and pool is taken care of don’t get me wrong the owners Judy and her husband are wonderful people and will do just about anything to help you we will miss going back this year because this was are favorite place to camp you didn’t have to worry about you kids playing or anything and the owner were great and helpful the campground was perfect except the pond and pool
Jun 19, 2024 · Linda GriffithA lovely spot in Almost Heaven, West Virginia. Judy and her husband were more than accommodating to us. They are kind people who welcome you into their campground and treat you like family. Beautiful views, a creek for kids to play in, a pond, swimming pool and playground. More than thankful that we ended up in their campground after not being able to find a space elsewhere. Will certainly return.
