Andes Rv Park Introduce
Looking for "camping near me" in the Kensington, Minnesota area, particularly if you're an RV enthusiast? Consider Andes RV Park, located at 4505 Andes Rd SW, Kensington, MN 56343, USA. You can reach them at (320) 965-7000 or their mobile number, +1 320-965-7000, to inquire about availability and specific details. Based on recent customer reviews, Andes RV Park offers a mix of appealing features and areas for potential improvement, making it a noteworthy option for those seeking a quieter camping experience.
One recent visitor shared their experience during the Fourth of July weekend, noting their excitement to try out Andes RV Park. While they appreciated securing a last-minute spot, they mentioned a lack of celebratory atmosphere during the holiday. This suggests that the park might be more focused on a relaxed and tranquil environment rather than organized events.
The same reviewer provided a detailed list of cons and pros, offering valuable insights for prospective campers:
Cons:
- No swimming facilities on-site.
- Limited or no shade available at the campsites.
- The frisbee golf course is not easily accessible.
- The frisbee golf course may not be suitable for children or those who are not physically fit.
- The land grading appears to cause drainage issues, leading to flooded sites during rain.
- Sewer hookups are positioned too high for proper drainage.
- The kayak launch is located far from the campsites, requiring appropriate gear for transportation.
- The kayak launch area is not well-maintained.
- Limited or no on-site help available.
- Limited availability of golf carts for rent, often resulting in them being sold out.
These points highlight some practical considerations for potential visitors. If swimming is a priority, or if you prefer shaded campsites, Andes RV Park might not fully meet your needs. Similarly, access to and suitability of the frisbee golf course and the distance to the kayak launch are important factors to consider based on your interests and physical capabilities. The drainage and sewer hookup issues are also practical elements to be aware of, especially during wet conditions or for RVers relying on proper waste disposal.
However, the reviewer also noted several positive aspects:
Pros:
- The park is exceptionally quiet, which can be a significant advantage for those seeking a peaceful retreat.
- There are great biking trails available for cycling enthusiasts.
- The park offers availability, which can be beneficial, especially during peak seasons.
- Seasonal site holders were reported to be very helpful and friendly, suggesting a welcoming community atmosphere.
Another camper echoed some of these positives, mentioning "nice big flat camp spots" equipped with electric, water, and septic hookups. They also praised the "wonderful trails," the "very nice clean bathrooms with free showers," and the excellent opportunities for "GREAT birding!"
Considering these reviews, Andes RV Park appears to be a newer facility that is still evolving. The initial reviewer expressed hope for future improvements, acknowledging that "always room for improvement." This suggests that the management may be receptive to feedback and working towards enhancing the overall guest experience.
For local users browsing a "camping near me" platform, Andes RV Park would present itself as a quieter option with spacious, well-equipped RV sites and notable features like biking trails and clean amenities. The platform might highlight the availability of electric, water, and septic hookups as a key service for RVers. The mention of great birding could also attract nature enthusiasts.
However, to provide a balanced perspective, the platform should also implicitly or explicitly convey the limitations mentioned in the reviews, such as the lack of swimming and shade, the accessibility of the frisbee golf and kayak launch, and potential drainage issues. This would allow users to make informed decisions based on their preferences and needs.
There isn't specific promotional information available in the provided text. However, a potential promotion for Andes RV Park could focus on its quiet atmosphere, the quality of its biking trails, or the cleanliness of its facilities. For bird watchers, the "GREAT birding!" aspect could be a unique selling point.
In summary, Andes RV Park near Kensington, MN, offers a generally positive experience, particularly for those valuing peace and quiet, enjoying biking, and needing full RV hookups. The clean bathrooms with free showers are also a significant plus. However, potential visitors should be aware of the lack of swimming and shade, the accessibility of some recreational features, and the reported drainage and sewer hookup concerns. For those searching for "camping near me" with an RV, Andes RV Park is worth considering, especially if a tranquil environment and good amenities are high on your list. Contact them directly at (320) 965-7000 to learn more and see if it's the right fit for your next camping adventure.

Andes Rv Park Reviews
We were excited to try out Andes tower! We were very fortunate to get a last minute spot over Fourth of July weekend. However, we were disappointed in the lack of celebration going on at the park. But we made the best of it.Cons:No swimmingNo shade on sitesFrisbee golf not easy to get toFrisbee golf not realistic for children or not physically fitThe grade of the land isn’t set up for proper drainage of rain.Sites become flooded. The sewer hookup is too high for proper drainage. The kayak launch is FAR. If you do not have appropriate gear to transport or drive it down, you are out of luck.Kayak launch not well taken care of.No on site helpOnly have a couple golf carts for rent so they were sold out..Pros:Quiet. I mean QUIET. (Might be a con if you’re like my family)Great biking trailsAvailabilitySeasonal sites were very helpful and friendlyOverall our experience was ok.This is a new park that I’m sure will have many tweaks along the way. Jul 08, 2024 · Tarin Schmidtnice big flat camp spots. all have electric, water and septic. wonderful trails!! very nice clean bathrooms with free showers!!! GREAT birding!
May 21, 2024 · David KlossWe were driving through the area for our roadtrip from NY to North Dakota (August 17th) and we decided to stay for one night at the Rustic Cabin. Jessah and Jack were beyond helpful! Communication was 10 stars. Jack was so kind to show us the cabin, given the time we arrived. Cabin does not have any electricity or water. But it was perfect for our stay, since we needed a break from the road. The cabin is right by Isaac Lake. There was a porta potty a few feet away from cabin. Equipped with two beds (you bring your own blankets). We were able to park our truck by the cabin. It has a outdoor grill and a picnic table. There was also a Coleman grill in the cabin. We would 100% stay again! Thank you so much for your hospitality. P.S. Bring lanterns, water, blankets, pillows, and food to grill for the full experience ☀️

Jun 02, 2024 · Beth TurnerNice place, good staff, beautiful, lots of trails and room to do things outdoors. It is a ways off of I-94, but worth the drive!
