This place is beautiful! Got there around 10:15am on a Saturday and got one of the last day use parking spots. $10 for the day of $5 if you have a national parks pass. There is limited parking for the day use area but that kept the crowds down. Although it was busy there was enough room for everyone. The swimming area is relatively shallow for a distance from the shore but deep enough to comfortably swim. The property seems well managed with a gate attendant and camp hosts making rounds throughout the day. There is a bathroom, picnic tables, and fire pits in the day use area. We brought our dogs and they loved it as well! People started clearing out around 4pm with lots of spots left open. The resort is a half mile down the street and a pizzeria, general store, marina, and entertainment. Would definitely recommend this place for a day at the lake!
Jul 07, 2024 · Kaitlin McGeeVery nice campgrounds. We could only stay one night but we'll be back. Each site is large and roomy, perfect for our 24ft RV. Lake is bueatiful with fantastic views of near by mountains. Wish we could have stayed longer...👍👍👍 Camp host was very friendly and had firewood 4 sale. Restrooms were good to go.
Jul 30, 2023 · Rick JohnsonAbsolutely beautiful. We stopped to use the restroom and stretch our legs. Would love to go back and camp or picnic. There is a lodge with food and gas. However the gas prices are outrageous at $7.00 per gallon on June 20th 2024.
Jun 21, 2024 · Douglas mitchellFabulous campground and host. I stayed here June 20-23 in spot 8. The camp host was very friendly and kept the bathrooms super clean.
Jun 25, 2024 · Jennifer Leigh (JL)I was fortunate to visit in late August after a cold snap had killed off most of the mosquitos! There was a short walk from the parking lot to the campsite, and campsites were nicely spaced out so it didn't feel too crowded even though the campground was full. Facilities were clean and the campfire wood available on site is well cured so it starts quickly and burns steady. The lake water was clear and cold, making water activities a great way to spend the hot afternoons. The nearby resort means the crew can have dinner out if they don't feel like doing after dinner dishes, and the resort's convenience store makes restocking on ice or picking up forgotten essentials easy! Beautiful place for a social camp out!
