Black Mountain Campground/Briar Bottom Group Campground Reviews
Best campground around! I have been camping here for over a decade with my family. This place holds my heart in its rivers and trees. I can't wait till we are able to go back to the place we love so much..P.S. bring back the ice cream ( me and my cousins would walk to the front to river walk and eat ice cream ever time, we miss it)
Feb 23, 2025 · jazmin fisherWe had the best time camping with our son for his first time! The Black Mountain Campground was the perfect spot for us. The area was well maintained and close to several trails with various levels of difficulty. The short hike to the waterfall was perfect for our son who usually says, "Mom, will you carry me". The staff on-site at the campground were warm and inviting the entire time. You can tell they really care about maintaining the area. The river was a short walk from our campsite and it was mesmerizing to watch and walk along every day. My son didn't want to leave, which is a sign we need to go back soon!
Jul 17, 2024 · Brooke GroganThis is one of the best campgrounds in NC. Kevin & Candy and the hosts were amazing. We were originally staying at Carolina Hemlocks, but let to stay at the Black Mountain Campground. They were so friendly and created the camping vibe we were looking for. We will definitely come back. The only reason we came was due to how great Tim was when we stayed at Carolina Hemlocks last May. I'm glad to see he is still around.
