For local residents and travelers seeking an RV-friendly "camping near me" experience in the Mountain View, Arkansas region, Blue Sky RV Park, located at 20843 AR-5, Mountain View, AR 72560, USA, offers a conveniently situated option. You can reach them at (870) 269-8132 or +1 870-269-8132 for inquiries and reservations. Based on online reviews, Blue Sky RV Park presents a mix of positive aspects, including a friendly owner and a shaded environment, alongside some potential drawbacks that should be considered.
One enthusiastic reviewer, identifying as an RVer familiar with the area, strongly recommends Blue Sky RV Park, stating, "If you are an RVer and you're in this area this is the RV Park for you!!" This suggests that for those traveling with recreational vehicles, Blue Sky RV Park is considered a prime choice within the Mountain View vicinity.
The park's location is highlighted as being "just off the main highway just outside of The City of Mountain View, Arkansas." This offers a balance of accessibility and a slight remove from the immediate bustle of town. The reviewer also notes several appealing environmental and locational advantages, including "lots of trees," which implies shaded campsites, a desirable feature, especially during warmer months. The presence of a "nice shower area" is also mentioned, indicating attention to basic comfort and hygiene for guests. The park is described as "quiet," suggesting a peaceful atmosphere conducive to relaxation. Its proximity to town offers convenience for accessing local amenities and attractions. Furthermore, its nearness to "Anglers & Jack's Fishing Resort" and its not-too-far distance from "Blanchard Springs" position it well for those interested in fishing and exploring the natural wonders of the area.
The owner, Tammie, receives high praise, being described as "the wonderful owner" who "always has a smile on her face" and is "friendly and very knowledgeable on the area." This personal touch and local expertise can significantly enhance a guest's stay, providing valuable information and a welcoming atmosphere. The reviewer also emphasizes the abundance of activities available in the region, listing "hiking, biking, fishing, canoeing, camping, shopping, good food, swimming, kayaking, horseback riding and more." However, the overarching sentiment is that the area is "most of all just peaceful and relaxing." The review concludes with a direct recommendation to "just make sure and book your RV spot here!"
Another reviewer provides a more balanced perspective, listing both "Pro's" and "Con's." Among the positives, they also agree that the "owner is very nice" and note that the "sites are fair in size" and offer "lots of shade," corroborating some of the positive points from the first review. However, this reviewer also raises several concerns. A "constant dog barking from long term camper" is mentioned as a potential noise issue. The functionality of the cable TV was reported as limited, working for only "2 days." The "wifi is very slow," which could be a significant drawback for those needing to stay connected. A concern is raised about "all the leafs being a fire hazard," suggesting potential issues with ground maintenance. Finally, the reviewer notes a seemingly excessive number of "more security cameras than a Walmart" and mentions "lacking good quality upkeep on grounds."
Considering both reviews, Blue Sky RV Park offers the advantages of a friendly and knowledgeable owner, shaded RV sites of a fair size, and a location that is convenient to both the town of Mountain View and nearby attractions like fishing resorts and Blanchard Springs. The area itself is rich in outdoor activities and is known for its peaceful and relaxing environment. However, potential guests should be aware of reported drawbacks such as potential noise from barking dogs, slow wifi, limited cable TV service, and concerns about ground upkeep and a possibly excessive number of security cameras.
Specific services at Blue Sky RV Park likely include water and electrical hookups for RVs, as it is primarily described as an RV park. The "nice shower area" mentioned in one review suggests the presence of communal restroom and shower facilities. Given its proximity to Mountain View, access to local services and amenities is readily available. The mention of the owner's knowledge of the area implies that guest assistance and local information are likely provided.
Features of Blue Sky RV Park include its shaded campsites due to the "lots of trees," its convenient location just outside Mountain View, its proximity to fishing and natural attractions, and the presence of a shower area. The friendly and knowledgeable owner is also a significant feature contributing to the overall guest experience. However, the reported issues with dog barking, slow wifi, limited cable, and ground upkeep are also features that potential guests should be aware of.
Promotional information is not explicitly provided in the reviews. Local users interested in potential discounts for residents, off-season rates, or any special offers should contact Blue Sky RV Park directly at (870) 269-8132 or +1 870-269-8132. They may also have a website or listings on camping and RV park directories where such information might be available.
In conclusion, Blue Sky RV Park in Mountain View, AR, offers a potentially appealing "camping near me" option for RVers and those looking to explore the natural beauty and attractions of the region. The friendly and knowledgeable owner and the shaded campsites are definite positives. However, it is important to weigh these against the reported issues with noise, internet connectivity, cable TV service, and ground maintenance. Potential guests should consider their priorities and perhaps inquire further about these aspects when booking their stay to ensure it meets their expectations for a comfortable and enjoyable camping experience in the Ozark Mountains.

Nov 22, 2024 · Jeff LinkExtremely friendly and helpful staff. Very quiet. Well shaded and all tree limbs are high enough to not hit our unit. Our site was very long. It was nice to be able to unhook and have plenty of room for the 5th wheel and truck. Their website was great as it shows pictures of each site. Not just a few of the sites. Weak T Mobile service. Weak free WIFI but has high speed WIFI available for an additional cost.Hard to level. We were unable to use auto level and had to manually level. The front jacks were hardly down at all and the back jacks will all the way down,
Oct 17, 2022 · Caroline ShookBlue sky is a wonderful place to stay. The campsites are almost all pull through, she has 30 amp and 50 amp available . There are lots of shade trees surrounding the campsites . Tammi has clean bathrooms. There is a room available for club meetings quite often music is played there on Friday nights private parties all can be held in the blue house. Alas in all a wonderful place to stay!
Sep 05, 2022 · MaryEsther RostPositive: Large sites, lots of shade.Negatives: Bathrooms were badly in need of repairs and serious cleaning (hairballs in drains, scum covered tiles, cobwebs, dirt , and mud covered shower mats.) Bathrooms had no windows, no AC, box fan was set up in a defunct shower stall which provided a little airflow. Cute gazebo was nice except for the overpowering stench of the uncovered dumpster nearby. Our site was next to a neighborhood with unleashed dogs which liked to sleep under our trees and make our little dog crazy. They also woke us up with un-ending barking around 6am every morning. Road noise wasn't too bad, except when garbage trucks went roaring past.No laundry onsite, except an unplugged washer/dryer in the men's room (we assumed it was just being stored and didn't mess with it.)
