Holiday Mountain Resort Introduce
For local residents and travelers exploring "camping near me" options in the Mountain View, AR area, Holiday Mountain Resort, located at 473 Swinging Bridge Rd, Mountain View, AR 72560, USA, presents a location with potential access to natural attractions. You can reach them at (870) 585-2231 or +1 870-585-2231. However, it is crucial for prospective guests to carefully consider recent customer reviews which offer a mixed perspective on the quality and condition of the accommodations, particularly the cabins.
The environment surrounding Holiday Mountain Resort appears to offer some appealing aspects. One reviewer noted that the "location was perfect" and provided "easy access to the main highways to get to town." This suggests that the resort is conveniently situated for exploring Mountain View and the surrounding area. The mention of a "creek or river" implies potential for water-based activities, although one guest who visited in October noted that these were not in much use during the cooler months, suggesting they are likely more attractive during warmer times of the year. The natural beauty of the Mountain View area, nestled in the Ozark Mountains, is generally well-regarded, offering opportunities for outdoor recreation and scenic drives. While the immediate environment of the resort itself is not extensively described, its proximity to Mountain View and potential access to water features could be attractive to those seeking "camping near me" with convenient access to local amenities and natural landscapes.
The services and amenities at Holiday Mountain Resort, based on the limited review information, appear to be a point of concern for some guests, particularly those who stayed in the cabins. One reviewer who stayed in "Cabin #1" mentioned that the "overall stay was okay" primarily due to the location and access to town. However, they also noted significant issues with the cabin itself. Another reviewer was considerably more critical, stating that the "cabins were dirty and tiny." Specific complaints included "dirty dishes in the cabinet," "kid snot smeared on" the sliding glass door, and a lack of essential toiletries such as "no toilet paper, no toiletries." The first reviewer also pointed out inconveniences such as only two chairs in the living room instead of a couch, and only one outlet in the bedroom with a seemingly unclean window unit. While the presence of cabins suggests a level of accommodation beyond basic camping, the reported cleanliness and condition appear to be substandard for some guests. There is no mention of other typical campground services such as restroom facilities for tent campers (if that is an option), laundry facilities, or recreational amenities within the resort itself. The stark contrast in experiences suggests that the quality of services and the condition of the accommodations may vary significantly.
The features of Holiday Mountain Resort seem primarily centered around cabin rentals, although it is unclear if traditional camping sites are also available. The cabins themselves, based on the negative review, are described as "tiny" and lacking in basic amenities. The "small deck not covered with steep steps" raises potential safety concerns. The presence of a "tiny stove" in at least one cabin suggests limited cooking facilities. The first reviewer mentioned a "floor is falling in between the bedroom and bathroom" in their cabin, indicating significant disrepair. The lack of sufficient furniture in the living room and the limited electrical outlets in the bedroom were also noted as inconveniences. While the resort's website might showcase specific cabin features, the recent reviews paint a concerning picture of their condition and the provisions offered. The potential access to a creek or river could be considered a feature for those interested in water activities during warmer months, but this was not a significant aspect of the reviews provided. For local users seeking "cabin rental near me," it is crucial to weigh the convenience of the location against the reported issues with the cleanliness, size, condition, and amenities of the cabins at Holiday Mountain Resort.
Promotional information for Holiday Mountain Resort is not evident in the provided reviews. The negative feedback regarding the value for money, with one reviewer stating it was "way too expensive for what you get," suggests that any promotional efforts might need to address concerns about the quality of the accommodations relative to the price. Potential guests are advised to seek out current pricing and any advertised specials on the resort's website or through booking platforms. It would be prudent to look for recent photos and detailed descriptions of the cabins to get a clearer understanding of their current condition and the amenities provided. Given the strongly negative review that recommends alternative accommodations in the area, any promotional material should be viewed with caution and compared against the experiences shared by recent guests. Local users might also benefit from seeking out reviews on multiple platforms to get a broader perspective on the resort.
In conclusion, for local residents and travelers searching for "camping near me" in the Mountain View, AR area, Holiday Mountain Resort offers a potentially convenient location with possible access to a creek or river. However, recent customer reviews raise significant concerns about the cleanliness, size, condition, and amenities of at least some of the cabins. Guests have reported issues such as dirty conditions, disrepair, lack of basic toiletries, and inconvenient layouts. While the location and potential for water activities might be appealing, prospective visitors should carefully consider the negative feedback regarding the cabin accommodations and the perceived value for money. It is strongly recommended to conduct further research, seek out recent photos and detailed descriptions, and compare Holiday Mountain Resort with other lodging options in the Mountain View area before making a reservation. The stark contrast between the positive mention of location and the negative experiences within the cabins suggests that the quality of stay may be inconsistent and that caution is warranted.

Holiday Mountain Resort Reviews
Me and my wife came up to Mountain View for the weekend and stayed in Cabin #1 on the website. The overall stay was okay. Location was perfect and it was easy access to the main highways to get to town. We also came in October so there wasn’t much use of the creek or river, which I’m sure is awesome during the warmer month’s. The cabin itself is dated a bit. Part of the floor is falling in between the bedroom and bathroom as well. Living room also only has two chairs instead of a couch which was inconvenient. Only one outlet in the bedroom with a window unit that doesn’t look like it’s been cleaned in a long time. Again, it was an okay weekend spot and was perfect for our activities we were doing in Mountain View. I do not recommend staying in the cabin for a week.
Nov 02, 2024 · Aaron WeatherfordCabins were dirty and tiny. Dirty dishes in the cabinet. Sliding glass door has kid snot smeared on it. Small deck not covered with steep steps. Tiny stove and no toilet paper, no toiletries. Way too expensive for what you get. Save your time and money and go to Silver Springs cabins in Eureka Springs. Same price and extremely nice cabin with jacuzzi tub and privacy. Covered porch with swing. Lots to do in town. Never ever again here. Bye bye Mountain View.
Jul 28, 2024 · Kimberly WilsonThis campground could be one of the better RV parks, but they need to put in a little effort. Their website mentions laundry, pool, cable, and other amenities, but they don’t work, aren’t available, poor quality, or bad condition. I’m glad the website doesn’t mention Internet because the WiFi’s a joke. One thing I can say to their credit is they didn’t price gouge like the other campgrounds in the area for the eclipse. Perhaps that’s because they had lots of open campsites.Honestly, this could be a nice RV park. While the campsites are too close together, like many RV parks are, it’s in a pretty area with a river adjacent to many sites. I hope they can work it out and get some helpful staff that can successfully contact the camp manager when needed.
Apr 11, 2024 · Gary AndersonMy family and I stayed there. We were in one of the cabins and they said the night before we checked in they almost burnt our cabin down. No type refund or anything for that. There was also mold all over and it stunk terribly. The heater in the cabin didn’t work at all we were freezing every night and half of the light switches wouldn’t work. The WiFi didn’t work and absolutely no service out there. The office was open for a couple hours though out the day, couldn’t get assistance with anything. I wouldn’t recommend going to stay there at all or ever again.
Apr 09, 2024 · Kenle DorseyWe stayed in the small log cabin #1 that was perfect for my husband and I. It was clean with new bed linen. It's a beautiful place and friendly staff.
