I'm not a camper myself and was invited to this campsite and to my surprise its well maintained and plenty 9f clean restrooms and showers (bring cash to get tokens for shower) each token gives you 5 minutes of running water (hot & cold) for showers. Cabins are pretty nice and can sleep 4-6 ppl . Bring plenty of drinking water with you and you won't regret it. I'll come again. - Ahmed Elagouz

While offering a different experience than perhaps more secluded or amenity-rich campgrounds, Tamarisk Grove provides crucial services for travelers exploring the unique desert landscape. You can contact them at (760) 767-4205 or +1 760-767-4205 for inquiries.

Based on customer reviews, the environment at Tamarisk Grove Campground is described as well-maintained, which is a significant plus for any camper. Notably, it offers plenty of clean restrooms and showers, addressing a fundamental need for those enjoying the outdoors. The campground also provides essential shelter, offering shade and wind protection, which can be particularly important in the desert environment of Anza-Borrego. One reviewer mentioned the presence of cabins that can sleep 4-6 people, offering an alternative to tent camping. However, it's crucial to note the specific advice from a reviewer: DO NOT fill water jugs here. This strongly suggests that the water available at the spigots within the campground is not intended for filling large containers for extended use. Instead, potable water for drinking and cooking is available at the Tamarisk Grove campground shop or at other locations like Ocotillo Wells. This highlights the desert environment's constraints and the importance of planning for water needs. The reminder to also have water for K9 companions underscores the pet-friendly nature of the campground, though responsible water management is essential. Additionally, travelers en route to and from the "nearby Republic of Slowjamastan" find Tamarisk Grove Campground a useful stop for its essential amenities.

The services at Tamarisk Grove Campground focus on providing the necessities for a comfortable stay in a desert environment. The availability of plenty of clean restrooms is a significant convenience. Showers are also provided, although they operate on a token system, requiring cash purchase. Each token grants 5 minutes of running water (both hot and cold), so planning accordingly is advisable. The presence of cabins offers a more sheltered accommodation option compared to tents. The Tamarisk Grove campground shop is a key service, providing potable water for drinking and cooking, as well as potentially other camping essentials. The explicit warning not to fill water jugs from general spigots indicates a specific guideline regarding water usage within the campground. The reminder about water availability at the shop and in Ocotillo Wells emphasizes the importance of utilizing designated potable water sources. The campground also implicitly caters to pet owners by reminding them to bring water for their dogs. Furthermore, the mention of its role as a stop for travelers going to and from the "Republic of Slowjamastan" suggests it serves as a waypoint with essential services for those venturing into the surrounding areas.
