Mountain View Mobile Estates Introduce
If you are exploring "RV parks near me" with the intention of finding long-term residential options in Santa Rosa, it's possible you might also be considering mobile home parks. While the platform category focuses on RV parks, it's important to distinguish between the two. RV parks typically cater to temporary stays for recreational vehicles, while mobile home parks, like Mountain View Mobile Estates located at 2860 Santa Rosa Ave, Santa Rosa, CA 95407, USA, are designed for longer-term or permanent residency in manufactured homes.
When considering a move to a mobile home park, it's crucial to gather as much information as possible about the community, its management, and its policies. Publicly available reviews can offer valuable insights into the experiences of current and former residents. In the case of Mountain View Mobile Estates, some recent reviews paint a concerning picture regarding the living environment and management practices.
One reviewer describes a "Horrible living area, horrible management, and parking is absurd." This individual expresses frustration with charges for minor inconveniences and strict parking enforcement, including the fear of towing even in visitor parking. The review further alleges the presence of unusable "illegal" parking areas with plate recording. A significant point of contention is the claim of being charged for park maintenance and even for the "idea of building parking." Additionally, the reviewer mentions charges for yard upkeep, specifically citing grass not being cut. The overall sentiment is one of escalating and unreasonable charges, leading to a feeling that residents might soon be charged for basic necessities. The reviewer concludes by expressing a strong desire for new management or improved communication, recounting a negative personal experience involving a threat of legal action from management over plant pots.
Another review echoes similar concerns, explicitly advising potential residents to "Do NOT move here." This long-term resident of nearly nine years states that management has never been this poor, specifically naming the new manager, William Feeney. The core complaint revolves around the alleged abuse of legal knowledge to implement new and rapidly increasing fees. A significant issue highlighted is the lack of communication with residents, fostering a feeling of being disregarded and forced to bear the financial burden of changes without any input. The reviewer emphasizes the financial strain on residents, particularly in the current economic climate, describing the management's behavior as "foul" and "inconsiderate." Furthermore, the review mentions "constant letters forcing you to maintain your home" coupled with citations of civil codes, adding to the perceived negative and demanding environment.
Based on these publicly available reviews, potential residents should be aware of the following concerns regarding Mountain View Mobile Estates:
- Allegedly Poor Management: Both reviews strongly criticize the management, citing issues with communication, implementation of fees, and overall treatment of residents.
- Unexpected and Increasing Fees: Residents report being charged for various issues, including minor inconveniences, park maintenance, and even proposed projects.
- Strict and Potentially Unreasonable Parking Policies: Concerns are raised about limited visitor parking, the threat of towing, and the existence of unusable parking areas.
- Demanding Home Maintenance Standards with Potential Charges: Residents report being pressured to maintain their homes to specific standards, with potential financial penalties for non-compliance.
- Lack of Communication and Resident Input: A significant complaint is the lack of communication regarding new policies and changes, leaving residents feeling unheard and disregarded.
- Negative Living Environment: The overall tone of the reviews suggests a tense and unpleasant living environment for some residents.
It is important to remember that these reviews represent the experiences and opinions of individual residents and may not reflect the views of all residents. However, the consistency and severity of the issues raised warrant careful consideration for anyone contemplating moving to Mountain View Mobile Estates.
Given the significant concerns highlighted in these recent reviews, it is strongly recommended that potential residents conduct thorough due diligence before making any decisions. This should include:
- Direct Contact with Management: Reach out to Mountain View Mobile Estates at (707) 546-6713 or +1 707-546-6713 to discuss current policies, fees, and any concerns raised in the reviews. Seek clear and detailed explanations for any charges or regulations.
- Visiting the Property: If possible, visit Mountain View Mobile Estates to observe the environment firsthand. Pay attention to the overall condition of the park, parking availability, and any visible maintenance issues.
- Speaking with Current Residents (If Possible): If you have the opportunity, try to speak with current residents to get a broader range of perspectives on living in the community.
- Reviewing Lease Agreements and Park Rules Carefully: Before signing any lease agreement, thoroughly review all terms and conditions, including fees, maintenance responsibilities, and parking regulations. Understand your rights and obligations as a resident.
- Checking with Local Consumer Protection Agencies: Inquire with local consumer protection agencies or tenant rights organizations to see if there have been any formal complaints filed against Mountain View Mobile Estates.
While the platform category "RV parks near me" might lead you to explore various types of residential parks in the Santa Rosa area, it's crucial to recognize the distinctions between RV parks and mobile home parks. Mobile home parks often involve longer-term commitments and different sets of regulations and expectations. The negative feedback regarding Mountain View Mobile Estates suggests potential challenges that prospective residents should carefully evaluate.
In conclusion, based on the available online reviews, potential residents of Mountain View Mobile Estates should proceed with caution and conduct thorough research. The concerns raised about management practices, fees, parking, and communication are significant and warrant careful consideration. While the park's location at 2860 Santa Rosa Ave in Santa Rosa might be convenient, the reported living conditions and management issues could outweigh the benefits of the location. It is highly recommended to contact the management directly and, if possible, speak with current residents to gain a more comprehensive understanding before making any decisions about residing at Mountain View Mobile Estates.

Mountain View Mobile Estates Reviews
Horrible living area, horrible management, and parking is absurd. Charge for any minor inconvenience to them, can’t even park in the visitor parking areas without the fear of getting car towed. They have parking in which no one can use, as it is illegal and will record your plates. At some point don’t bother having parking if you can’t use them. I don’t know what their policies may be but they are horrible. They charge for fixing their own park. They wanted to charge for idea of building parking. They charge if your yard isn’t up to standard in other words grass not cut. At some point I’m scared they’re gonna start charging us for the breathing the mobile parks air. I would personally feel better with new management or at least someone being able to explain why they manage the way they do. Last time someone of management ever talked to me, he was threatening to sue me when I was 16 year old over plant pots he was stepping on to get into our backyard for some unknown reason. For the absurd charges and lack of communication from management for certain things, it has become so difficult to deal with that many people have started moving to other places. If management is able to read this, please communicate or at least find some middle ground between the people living in your parks and yourselves.
Jan 07, 2025 · Zeus GomezDo NOT move here. You've likely seen many homes available here and I'll tell you exactly why. I've lived here for nearly 9 years - in all my years management has never been this poor. The new manager, William Feeney, has been abusing his knowledge of the law by implementing new fees and raising costs at a drastic rate. There is a lack of communication with the renters here, we feel pushed into a corner - having new changes set in place without having a say in it, and then being expected to pay for those changes is absurd. We feel like we're being milked out of our money. I have never seen my neighbors so angry and distraught. In an economy where people are barely making ends meet, this is foul behavior and inconsiderate for renters. BEWARE OF MOVING HERE! On top of the never-ending fee raises, there are constant letters forcing you to maintain your home, and he makes sure to cite those civil codes against you at the bottom!
Aug 15, 2024 · Natalie LunaThe space rent goes up $55+ per month EVERY SINGLE YEAR!!! Many rules that are not enforced. Neighbors will set up their picnics and car repairs in your yard and you have to put up with it. Office mgr and park owner play favorites, even giving expensive Christmas presents, like a new roof, to them in front of other homeowners. The owner and office manager are phonys. Stay clear.
May 21, 2024 · MWe have been living at this park since 2012. It is a very safe place to live with neighbor watch and security patrol on goft cart from front office every hour. We took off for vacation every Summer and came home without any issue at all. The only draw back is the annual lease of the land which is expensive compared to nearby home parks.
Sep 28, 2015 · Allison HaThough my phone shows that I'm always there I've never been to mountain view estates but I've read the reviews and sounds like an okay place to live if you're into that sort of thing just watch your kids and keep an eye on Megan's law and you'll be okay
