Bogue Chitto Water Park and RV Campground Reviews
My husband and I recently made a stop at Bogue Chitto Water Park and RV Campground in McCombe, MS during our travels. Located just off US-98 E on Dogwood Trail, about 10 miles from town, we were impressed right from the start. The park's tranquil atmosphere, cleanliness, and secure facilities, including locked gates, made us feel completely at ease. The spacious pads with full hookups, picnic tables, and covered trash cans were a welcome convenience. We enjoyed a pleasant 2-night stay, with check-in at 2 PM and check-out at 11 AM, all at an affordable price of $30. Needless to say, we're already looking forward to returning.
May 03, 2024 · Therese WintersTalked with the current manager about what is trending at the park. Due to Staff shortages, there is NO DAY-USE ALLOWED at the park. ONLY Overnight RV and Cabin rentals. The Boat ramp IS available for pickup and drop off only. They ALSO have hiking trails for overnighters. The future is bright because the park is to receive allocation from the state For Improvements probably beginning next year ( 2024 ). I was allowed and able to drive thru the park & liked what I saw. SOME of the campsites COULD have been cleaner ( but a camper IS " roughing it " right ? ). The AREAS around ALL the Cabins WERE neat and clean. IF the opportunity ever presents itself, this would be my 1st adventure on my way to parts unknown.
Aug 12, 2023 · James D. HodgesWonderful employees. Very helpful. John is excellent (ask for him!) Campground is nicely laid out with plenty of trees. They even had a movie night for the children Friday night outside on the basketball court.Did not get 5 stars because A) The bathhouse was a wreck. Old, very unclean and the men's toilet did not work correctly and, well, was gross. B) Any noise ordinances are not enforced. People playing basketball and shooting fireworks until nearly midnight.Otherwise, a good place to stay.
May 27, 2014 · Larry WeathersbyWe parked here with our 5th wheel for work. 10 days now. Nice quiet place with walking trails, picnic table and updated electric at some sites.Older rv park that was booming in the 70s being slowly brought back to life
Apr 28, 2023 · L FinchI made reservations but had to cancel. was under the impression there was more to the small cabins than what they actually are.It would not have accommodated us plus 4 little grand babies. I canceled over a week before the scheduled trip. their cancellation terms are" 48 hrs " to receive a refund. no stmt of needing written request for canceling and "if" their review of the reason for canceling is approved you may get your money back within a month. this was early July , now September and they are still giving excesses as to why i will not receive a refund. I am out $156.56. i would give a 0 if it were an option.
