The review highlights the exceptional location of Bur’s Black Bear Bungalow. Situated on Little Saint Germain Lake's most desirable peninsula, guests can expect stunning lake views and convenient access to the water. Little Saint Germain Lake is known for its beauty and recreational opportunities, making this location ideal for those seeking "camping near me" with a focus on lake activities such as swimming, boating, and fishing. The proximity to the lake is further emphasized by the mention of a dedicated boat slip located approximately 50 feet from the sliding back patio door, a significant advantage for those planning to bring or rent a boat.
The condo itself is described as being "freshly painted, very clean and well appointed." This indicates a well-maintained and comfortable living space for guests. The inclusion of "beautiful new major and small kitchen appliances" along with a "washer and dryer" underscores the modern conveniences available, making it feel more like a home away from home than a traditional camping cabin. This level of amenity is particularly appealing for longer stays or for families who value the convenience of preparing their own meals and doing laundry.
Despite the reviewer bringing their own supplies, they noted that the kitchen cabinets were "well stocked with dishes, glassware, kitchen utensils, towels and consumable supplies." This thoughtful provision by the hosts, Nic and Marlo, ensures that guests have everything they need for meal preparation and daily living, minimizing the need to pack and transport a large amount of household items. This attention to detail enhances the ease and enjoyment of the stay.

The living area of the condo is described as an "open concept living room area" which was recently updated with a "beautiful new gas fireplace insert" just prior to the reviewer's visit. This fireplace adds a cozy and inviting ambiance, particularly during cooler evenings or off-season stays. The presence of a "comfortable, large couch" that appeared "fresh out of the showroom" suggests a comfortable space for relaxation and socializing.
For entertainment and connectivity, Bur’s Black Bear Bungalow offers "high speed internet, WiFi, board games and large, flat panel Smart TV's in the living room and master bedroom." The inclusion of board games adds a touch of traditional family fun.
Outdoor amenities are also a significant feature of this property. Guests have daily access to "permanently installed charcoal grills" and "picnic tables" located just outside the unit, perfect for enjoying outdoor meals and barbecues. The presence of "playground equipment" nearby makes it an excellent choice for families with young children, providing a safe and fun space for them to play. The dedicated boat slip, as mentioned earlier, is a major advantage for those interested in exploring Little Saint Germain Lake by boat.
The positive experience of the reviewer, who stayed over an extended 4th of July holiday weekend, is evident in their enthusiastic comments and their intention to return later in the same month. Bur’s Black Bear Bungalow Reviews
We stayed in Nic and Marlo's Black Bear Bungalow condo over the extended 4th of July holiday weekend and really enjoyed our stay. The condo is part of the former Black Bear Lodge, located on Little Saint Germain Lake's most desirable peninsula. The condo was freshly painted, very clean and well appointed with beautiful new major and small kitchen appliances, washer and dryer. Though we brought all of our own dishes, utensils, towels, etc. we found the kitchen cabinets were well stocked with dishes, glassware, kitchen utensils, towels and consumable supplies. We were pleased with the large master bedroom (King Bed) + master bathroom and second bedroom (2x Twin Beds + Pack-n-Play crib) with a second bathroom down the hall. Multiple closets in the bedrooms, bathroom and hallway offered generous storage to accommodate our family of family of 5.A beautiful new gas fireplace insert was installed in the open concept living room area days prior to our visit and a comfortable, large couch appeared fresh out of the showroom.High speed internet, WiFi, board games and large, flat panel Smart TV's in the living room and master bedroom kept us connected and entertained when it rained. We used the permanently installed charcoal grills, picnic tables and playground equipment just outside of the unit daily and noticed a dedicated boat slip was available ~50-feet from the sliding back patio door. Thanks to Nic and Marlo for a great stay... We'll be back again later this month!
