You can reach them at (573) 785-1016 or +1 573-785-1016 to inquire about availability and make reservations. The environment of Camelot RV Campground/RV Park is primarily geared towards providing comfortable and accessible RV accommodations. Situated right off the interstate, it offers ease of access for travelers, making it a convenient stopover. The presence of "lots of large mature shade trees" suggests that while it's easily accessible, the park also provides a degree of natural comfort and a pleasant, shaded environment for campers to relax outdoors. The sites themselves are described as long, pull-through, and gravel-based, which are beneficial for RVs of various sizes. Importantly, they are noted to be very flat and level, simplifying the setup process for RVers. While the proximity to the highway is appreciated for its convenience, one reviewer mentioned that it can result in some noise. However, the overall positive feedback indicates that this is a minor consideration compared to the park's many advantages. The location also offers proximity to essential services like gas and groceries, as well as restaurants and walking trails nearby, enhancing the overall convenience for both short and longer stays.
The services at Camelot RV Campground/RV Park are focused on providing a comfortable and hassle-free experience for RV travelers. A significant aspect highlighted in the reviews is the friendly and helpful staff and owners. They are commended for guiding guests to their sites and even assisting with parking, which is a thoughtful touch. The park offers laundry facilities, which are described as very clean with new machines, although one reviewer noted that the laundry room is small. Payment options include cash or credit card, providing flexibility for guests. While specific details about hookups (water, electric, sewer) are not fully detailed in the reviews, the fact that it's referred to as an "RV Campground/RV Park" and the mention of pull-through sites strongly imply the availability of at least water and electric hookups. Sewer hookups are not explicitly mentioned, with one review stating "no sewer, water, or electric," which seems to contradict the nature of an RV park and the other positive review. It's crucial for local users to confirm the availability of specific hookups (water, electric, sewer) by contacting the park directly. The mention of a $45 fee (in one review) provides a valuable piece of information regarding the cost-effectiveness of staying at Camelot RV Campground/RV Park. The park is also pet-friendly, welcoming furry companions, although it's generally expected that pets will be kept on a leash within the campground.
The features of Camelot RV Campground/RV Park are centered around convenience, accessibility, and a welcoming atmosphere. The easy on-and-off access from the interstate is a major feature, particularly for those traveling through the area. The long, pull-through, and level gravel sites are specifically designed to accommodate RVs of various lengths, simplifying parking and setup. The presence of large, mature shade trees adds to the comfort and appeal of the sites, providing relief from the sun. The friendly and helpful staff, who guide guests to their sites and assist with parking, contribute significantly to a positive experience. The availability of a clean laundry facility, even if small, is a valuable amenity for travelers. The acceptance of both cash and credit cards adds to the convenience of payment. The park's proximity to gas stations, grocery stores, restaurants, and walking trails offers added benefits for those looking to resupply or explore the local area. The pet-friendly policy ensures that RVers traveling with pets are welcome. While the sites might not be the largest, as noted by one reviewer, this is a common characteristic of many campgrounds and is often outweighed by other positive features like the levelness and pull-through accessibility.
Promotional information is somewhat limited but present in the customer reviews. The mention of the price being "$45" provides a clear indication of the cost-effectiveness of staying at Camelot RV Campground/RV Park. This competitive pricing, especially for a campground right off the interstate with good amenities and service, can be considered a significant promotional point for local users and travelers alike. While no specific discounts or special offers are mentioned, the already reasonable price point enhances its appeal. Local residents considering a longer stay or groups traveling together could inquire about potential weekly or group rates when contacting the park directly. The positive word-of-mouth in the reviews, with customers stating they "will definitely be back" and "would stay again," serves as a strong endorsement and a form of promotion in itself, highlighting the positive experiences of past guests.
In conclusion, Camelot RV Campground/RV Park in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, offers a great option for local RV owners and travelers seeking a convenient, friendly, and affordable place to stay. Its location right off the interstate provides easy access, while the long, level pull-through sites and mature shade trees ensure a comfortable camping experience. The helpful staff and owners go the extra mile to assist guests, and the availability of a clean laundry facility adds to the convenience. While some highway noise may be present due to its location, the overall positive feedback and the reasonable price of $45 make Camelot RV Campground/RV Park a highly recommended "camping near me" destination in the Poplar Bluff area. Local users are encouraged to contact them directly to confirm the availability of specific hookups and to make reservations for a pleasant and hassle-free RV stay.

Camelot RV Campground/RV Park Reviews
A great campground right off the interstate. Easy on and off. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Cash or credit card only, but it's only $45! Long pull through gravel sites are very flat and level. We were guided to our site which I love. Lots of large mature shade trees. We will definitely be back!!
Mar 04, 2025 · Cheryl WareThe owners were helpful and friendly. He guided us to our site and helped with parking. Very clean laundry with new machines but small. Close to highway so it was a little noisy but easy to get to. Would be nice to have bigger sites but that's how most camp sites are. Conveniently located for getting gas and groceries. Restaurants and Walking trails near by. Stayed 4 nights and would stay again.
Mar 21, 2025 · Linda AndreEasy access. Very friendly staff. Clean laundry with new machines. Close to town with lots of restaurants. Sites were flat with trees. We stayed a couple days to relax. A little noisy from highway but not bad. They only take cash or checks.
Apr 11, 2025 · Linda AndreReally great, veteran-owned campground with reasonable rates. Dog friendly and they helped us out when we called to tell them our truck had a big time break down! The transmission gone and we were sitting in Walmart parking lot with no way to get to their campground. Jean recommended a towing service that would bring us there and take the truck where we needed. Being from out of town that was so appreciated. Then Woolards 2 brothers towing service recommended a shop that was able to get us in and are trying to get us back on the road as soon as possible. The only drawback is the close proximity to hwy traffic makes it very noisy at all times of night and day... So just use ear plugs. Well maintained, nice staff, and well laid out.
Feb 11, 2025 · Rose ElbusI was initially optimistic about the RV park because of the affordable monthly rate that was supposed to include cable and WiFi. However, the cable TV didn't work at all on our site and neither did the WiFi. Electric is also metered which was not something we have encountered before with a single month stay. We chose this location due to proximity to the college as we were only in town to visit our son attending Three Rivers but will never stay here again. We were given the only site that floods when it rains, we had an inch or more of standing water in the gravel and a couple inches of water in the small strip of grass around our site while other sites around us had no such issue (I have included photos). There was a water main break within the first week that took a day to fix, understandable timeframe to be honest but not ideal when there's no compensation for the inconvenience. The sewer hookups are not secure or proper, you will need something to weigh down the hose connection and water pressure was very low. No onsite laundry or shower house available either. The highway noise was nearly unbearable and we have decided to leave early due to all the problems. When I called to give advanced notice of early departure, the owners came by daily to read the electric meter which made us feel like they were trying to charge us as much as possible. For being veteran owned, I feel my family was not treated with respect and there were other sites available but we were placed in what I consider the absolute worst site. The owners were more concerned with not disturbing long-term RVs than our experience there which was very disappointing as well. Not to mention there were a few large dogs just being let out of RVs unleashed without their owners even visibly watching them and made me very uncomfortable letting our four year old outside to play. We're Escapees members and Good Sam members and the discount on the website for members is the same regular rate so I feel that is a bit deceptive as well. I wish I could leave a better review but obviously that is not possible with everything we've experienced. Lots of RVs here are long-term so I think that adds to the disregard for those who are just passing through. Next time we will choose somewhere else and consider this a lesson learned the hard way. I'll update my review after we receive the electric bill to advise others of what to expect with that as well.Update: additional charges for electric were under ten dollars so it wasn't all that bad but still not ideal given lack of wifi or working cable.
