The proximity to the beach allows campers to easily enjoy the sandy shores, the Pacific Ocean, and the recreational opportunities it offers.
The positive experiences are echoed by a family who has been visiting the Long Beach area for the Kite Festival for generations. They specifically sought a location that could accommodate their large fifth wheel RV and their extended family's tents within walking distance to the beach, and they found Cedar to Surf to be the perfect fit. They have returned for multiple years and express their intention to continue doing so, stating, 'We love Cedar to Surf!' and 'This is our second year coming to this site and we look forward to next year and the years to come.'
For RV campers with larger rigs, the availability of 'dune sites' is a significant advantage, suggesting spacious and potentially well-situated spots that can accommodate big fifth wheels. The campground also caters to tent campers with dedicated 'tent sites' that their family has enjoyed. The convenience of an 'easy to use and book' website simplifies the reservation process, which is particularly helpful for families planning their trips.
Practical amenities further enhance the experience at Cedar to Surf. The availability of a laundry facility ('With littles, we did use the laundry which was appreciated') is essential for longer stays or families with young children. 'Locked restrooms' provide an added sense of security and are a welcome feature for many campers. The rec room is not just for rainy days; guests can also enjoy 'borrowing games' from it, providing additional entertainment options for all ages. The owners are described as 'fantastic,' and a specific staff member, Robbie, is singled out as 'the sweetest person I have ever met!' This personal touch and exceptional service contribute significantly to the positive atmosphere of the campground. A unique offering mentioned is the sale of 'amazing' sourdough bread on Fridays, adding a local flavor and treat for the guests.
The sense of community and respect among campers is also noteworthy. The reviewer observed 'many dogs around and everyone was respectful having them on leashes and picking up after themselves.' The campground was fully booked ('The whole campsite was booked the whole time we were there (9 days)'), yet the atmosphere remained positive, with everyone being 'kind and respectful.' The quick turnover of campsites, with new arrivals in the afternoon after departures, indicates the campground's popularity. The social aspect is also highlighted, with children making 'camp friends' and even becoming pen pals, suggesting a friendly and engaging environment for families.
In conclusion, Cedar to Surf Campground in Ocean Park, WA, is highly recommended by its visitors for its wonderful environment, friendly and proud local ownership, impressive renovations, and excellent amenities such as a rec room, clean bathrooms, and a dedicated fish and clam cleaning station. Its prime location offers fantastic beach access, perfect for clamming and surf perch fishing. The campground caters to both RVs (with dune sites) and tents, with a user-friendly online booking system and practical facilities like laundry and locked restrooms. The great showers and the option to borrow games from the rec room add to the comfort and convenience. The exceptional service from the owners and staff, particularly Robbie, creates a welcoming atmosphere. The respectful community of campers further enhances the experience. Apr 13, 2025 · Laurie TWe love Cedar to Surf!My family and I have been traveling to Long Beach for the Kite Festival since I was born. After growing up and having kids of our own, it seemed difficult to find a place that accommodated our fifth wheel and my families tents within walking distance to the beach. This is our second year coming to this site and we look forward to next year and the years to come. Being in a big fifth wheel, we do like the dune sites. Our family has enjoyed their tent sites.Their website is very easy to use and book. With littles, we did use the laundry which was appreciated. We appreciated the locked restrooms as well. Their showers were great with nice hot water pressure! The kids enjoyed borrowing games from the rec room. The owners are fantastic and we especially loved Robbie! The sweetest person I have ever met! If you love sourdough, they sell some one Fridays and it is amazing! There were many dogs around and everyone was respectful having them on leashes and picking up after themselves. The whole campsite was booked the whole time we were there (9 days) and everyone who stayed was kind and respectful. It was nice to see when campers left, there were new people by the afternoon. Our kids made so many "camp friends" and left with a couple pen pals.We highly recommend this place.
Aug 28, 2024 · Hana KriebelOur stay at Cedar to Surf Campground was fantastic! Nestled between the lush forests and the beautiful coastline, this campground offers a perfect blend of nature and convenience. The sites are spacious, well-maintained, and provide ample privacy with natural vegetation separating them. The amenities are top-notch: clean restrooms, hot showers, and well-kept picnic areas. The campground staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, ensuring that we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. One of the highlights was the easy access to the nearby beach. It was just a short walk from our campsite, making it convenient for morning walks and sunset views. We also enjoyed the various hiking trails that wind through the surrounding forest, offering breathtaking views and a chance to see local wildlife.Cedar to Surf Campground is ideal for families, couples, and solo travelers looking for a peaceful retreat in nature. We highly recommend it and can’t wait to return!
Jul 16, 2024 · Les HerreraWell let's 1st talk about the Sourdough Bread....say what, the bread? You ask...YES THE BREAD!!! Get there early (check in is at 2pm) or find it at a farmers market but don't miss out on the most delicious Sourdough north of San Francisco (and I know I was raised in S.F. lol) and made by the MOST INCREDIBLE HUMANS EVER!!! The campsite is beautiful with more space then I had thought there would be and the Bathroom/Showers are so clean!!! The rec room was rad and we used the stove to cook a quick dinner and played a few games of pac man while we waited on our food (YES THEY HAVE ARCADE PAC MAN!!!)!!! The beach trail was spectacular and the beach goes on and on and on!! We truly can't wait to be back!!! If you are lucky enough to be in the area don't miss out on this gem of a spot with humans that make you feel like friends from the 1st second you are there!!! See y'all soon and sending so much positive energy y'alls way!!!
Aug 13, 2024 · Margit MOBI'm a Disabled Vet, I was unable to park by my rig by my site and have to walk across the park to Overload Parking. The young lady that checked me in was polite, welcoming, pleasant, very friendly and professional, the 'other' young lady, however was not when it came to where she wanted me to park my full size crew cab 8' bed RAM, she was in fact snotty and a little bit##y, #22 says it will accommodate 35', ha! No place to park a vehicle. She wanted me to park it up to my steps. Note the pictures. Residents take up space not allowing my vehicle room. She wouldn't let me park lengthwise in front of my trailer nor block the 'garden', again note the pictures, or block the electricians (haven't seen anybody) from working on the tower. Note pictures. Pull thru will give a little leeway for long rigs but these side spots are small and not very accommodating to us larger rigs.
