Aug 12, 2024 · Laurie BlaskoWhat a find! Our daughter discovered Diorite Mountain and then recommended their accommodations to me since I was having trouble finding something affordable near the Tryon International Equestrian Center. Nestled in the woods, this unique gem provides cozy accommodations with large gathering spaces. Craig was a helpful and interesting host whose story of a brave life led rehabilitating himself and serving others touched my heart. Highly recommend this whole experience!
Aug 13, 2024 · Gleamer SullivanMy daughter had a horse show at the Tryon International Equestrian Center, and we stayed here for 4 nights while the show was going on. The grounds are beautiful, the cabins are spacious and comfy, the staff was super friendly and accommodating. This was my first time in NC and it was fantastic! If we ever go back we will definitely stay here again!
May 06, 2024 · Karah WilkesWe were looking to stay in Mill Spring for a Spartan race at the Tryon Equestrian Center and as I was looking for somewhere nearby to stay, I stumbled across Diorite Mountain. I honestly wish I could add more than 5 stars. The cabins were roomy, but still cozy. The atmosphere was so relaxing and tranquil. Loved the clubhouse area, and all of the views. We were only 1/2 mile from the venue of our race, which was so nice! Everything was built using recycled materials, and was built by the disabled. They all did an excellent job, and I can’t wait to go back. Not to mention Craig who was so helpful from the time of booking until the time we left. We even stayed an extra night! 100% will recommend to anyone looking for a great place to stay in Mill Spring!
Aug 09, 2023 · Justine BlundellDiorite mountain is a unique and gorgeous space. All the cabins are connected by a series of walkways that also connect the main venue, the shared "clubhouse" living room/kitchen and the beauty salon. There are also 2 "gazebo" areas, one on each level. We used the upstairs gazebo to drink our coffee and watch the birds on the morning of our departure. The owners are really nice, they met with us and showed us that this unique building was built with upcycled materials and that it is energy efficient. Each cabin has 2 levels, that you can rent separately or together and they all have external bathrooms. Our room also had access to a kitchenette and an indoor/outdoor area we used to eat dinner. All if these spaces are unconventional and hard to describe. You will just have to see it for yourself!
