Double J Stables and Campgrounds Reviews
We had an exceptional 1.5 hour trail ride into Mammoth Cave National Park. Upon arrival, we were welcomed with true southern hospitality. They even showed us their campground and let us greet every single horse in their stalls. We were appropriately matched to our horses with 2 kids and 2 adults, each horse was selected perfectly. We especially appreciated the step to mount the horses. The trail was wide, beautiful, and even crossed a little running stream.Excellent guide, I believe Courtney was her name. And owners Dave and Rocky felt like old friends.Very well cared for horses and truly a joy to support their business.
Mar 28, 2025 · Shannon HillWe had a great 3 hour ride through the mammoth cave national forest! Our guide was awesome and very knowledgeable of the area. The whole crew was warm and welcoming on the cold day we went riding. The horses are very well trained and even my husband who is new to riding had a smooth ride. I highly recommend and we will visit again!
Jan 14, 2025 · T'LaSuch a great Ranch! Owners / workers are super friendly. They encourage you to go around and take a look at the horses I'm their stalls and pet them if you'd like. They have a short description of each horse and their names. A very nice personal touch!Very informative before the ride, while on the ride and after the ride. You can even learn about the trail and the history of the land. Sarah was our lead (there were 2 Sarah's that day and both were GREAT) and she spoke to the group all during the ride. Reminding folks how to ride when going up and downhill. Super helpful for people not familiar with riding.I would recommend this ranch and I gave it a five star review. Close to Bowling Green KY, and a nice scenic ride out to the ranch.
Jun 22, 2024 · Sherry AdamsHighly recommend horseback riding! My Mom and I decided to take a day trip here for the 1.5 hour guided trail ride and it was well worth it! Very reasonably priced, and the people that run it are so friendly and polite. The horses are also well behaved, healthy and taken good care of. We will definitely be back! ❤️🐎
Oct 18, 2024 · BrittHad a great trail ride with them. Loved that they take you INSIDE the national park.Sarah was a lovely guide. Kept the group together well. Really grateful for the shady trail we took! Many other horse stables nearby have their ride out on the plain & that would have been dreadfully hot if we were not in the shade.Appreciated the well behaved horses and the little tips they gave to each rider about their horse. They did a nice job making sure the kids in the group were safe and happy.Highly recommend them.
