Duck Ledge Island Reviews
Looks like a beautiful place. 👍
Jan 17, 2023 · Richard BrownI haven't been here yet. But it's worth seeing if possible. A magical place, as you can see. The atmosphere is typically Scandinavian, like from a novel by Jussi Adler-Olsen or like in The Ghost Writer by Roman Polański, probably closer to the latter, because it is nothing else than the eastern coast of the USA, the country of free people. Decades ago, a land of hope, dreams... A small island, but there is something about it that attracts people. The cliche name Duck Ledge Island. A small, modest house, there is a place to shelter from the rain, and you can also spend the night, there is a bed to sleep in. Not much greenery, mostly grass, some rocks, a small beach. All around there is the smell of the sea, drops of water and profound silence. There seems to be nothing there, but there is. Someone might ask why you are writing about this? After all, it's only a tiny island, even a walk would be short. The island may be small, but the world around it is huge, and you can feel it there, because our senses know no limits, for your soul you can rest among the waves, you can tread with gentle movements, like a bird looking for grains of wheat among a handful of sand. Lie down and fall asleep. Sleep, sleep, sleep...
