First Creek 1 Campground Reviews
Well, since the locks are gone there isn't a lake here anymore. It's all dried up and it seems impossible to get to Nolin River from the trail. We tried, and the new underbrush of wild rose and saplings tore my legs up and I just went to the tiny creek that fed the lake then goes into Nolin. But no fishing today for us. Wildflowers were blooming and it was a beautiful day! Trail was clean and maintained well. Grade was easy. About 500 ft elevation change.
Mar 30, 2024 · Elizabeth CarterVery nice camp ground at site 1! Clean and well kept. The trails are awful so i suggest the shorter route to grounds for camping. No water, lake is gone and creek is close to gone. No way to get to the river either. We tried! Not much scenery but very quiet and secluded if youre just looking for a peaceful get away!
Jun 17, 2024 · Samantha CruseNice spot for a tent.Leave no trace- the people before left lots of trash. Water all around for fishing, but a large drop off if you need to get water for filtration system. Easy hike to camp.
