The environment of Fisherman's Corner presents a mix of natural elements and accessibility. While one reviewer describes the camping area as having a "typical parking lot/ trailer park camping" layout with trees scattered throughout, it still maintains a "pretty nice" appearance. A significant environmental factor to consider is the campground's proximity to railroad tracks, which are located approximately 150 yards from the river. This proximity may result in train noise, which could be a consideration for those prioritizing absolute peace and quiet. However, for campers who are less sensitive to such sounds or value other aspects of the campground more, this might not be a major drawback. The Mississippi River is also nearby, offering potential for river-related activities and scenic views, although direct access and specific amenities related to the river are not detailed in the provided information.

It is described as a "nice little picnic area" that appears to be well-maintained and groomed, featuring picnic tables and a pit toilet. While camping is not permitted in the picnic area, it provides a convenient spot for day use, relaxation, and enjoying a meal outdoors, even during the campground's winter closure.

Fisherman's Corner Reviews
Fisherman’s corner Campground is closed for the winter months. I have pictures of the Campground and photos of the recreational picnic area . Fisherman corner recreational picnic area is open year round (its the first road to your right, headed south from the campground ) No camping! It’s a nice little picnic area. It looks to be taken care of and well groomed. Picnic tables and pit toilet.. nice little spot to relax. Fisherman’s corner Campground is actually a pretty nice campground good amount of trees scattered about here and there . even though it is a typical parking lot/ trailer park camping. It looks pretty nice. The only downfall is from the railroad tracks to the river is approximately 150 yards . So if peacefulness is not a priority, then you’ll like this type of Campground . Dec 30, 2024 · nathan goodfellowMy granddaughter & I stayed at site 29. The host couple was very nice. They showed concern for all visitors there, especially when the tornado warning sirens went off. They gave clear safety locations to everyone. The grounds were well kept as well as the bathrooms. We shared a spot with 28. However, we still felt we had privacy. Our RV neighbors were nice, too, offering us shelter from the storm. Even though we left early (because of the weather), we will def come back to this location.
Jul 07, 2024 · pamela mcelroyConvinient location just off the highway and nice to be on the Mississippi. Road traffic can be loud if you’re in a tent and picks up around 4-5am. Showers were a bit disappointing but I mean they’re campground showers and were free and the water was mostly warm so can’t complain about too much. Campground is cheap tho and in terms of people nice and quiet
Aug 17, 2024 · Scott TThis campground was well kept and clean, but it lacks privacy. All of the spots are very close together and seem to be made more for RV camping than tent camping. We camped in spot 46 and there was a streetlight in the middle of the campground, approximately 20 yards from our tent that made it difficult to sleep and also defeated a lot of the purpose of camping. We couldn’t see the stars. The campground is also located right next to a main road and a railroad, so between the streetlight and the road/train noise, my bf and I both had a hard time sleeping. If you do tent camp here, I’d recommend spot 45 — it was across the path from us and backed up to forest, so there’s slightly more privacy. Firewood is available for purchase. The bathrooms were clean. Location is close to quad cities
Jun 19, 2024 · Dan RayThis was my first time staying at an Army Corps of Enginers campground. It was a great location, with clean restrooms and showers, the hosts were great and very friendly.
