Foxfire Family Fun Park Introduce
For local residents in the Nevada, Ohio area seeking a "camping near me" experience that combines camping with a variety of recreational activities, Foxfire Family Fun Park, located at 3699 Crawford Wyandot Rd, Nevada, OH 44849, USA, presents an interesting option. This park offers a range of amenities and appears to be geared towards family fun. You can reach them for inquiries and reservations at (740) 482-2190 or +1 740-482-2190.
Based on recent customer reviews, Foxfire Family Fun Park offers a well-maintained environment with several water-based recreational features. One reviewer highlighted the presence of a pond that is divided for both swimming and fishing, with the swimming area also featuring a water slide. In addition to the pond, there is also a swimming pool available for guests. These aquatic amenities make the park particularly appealing for families with children and individuals who enjoy swimming and fishing.
The same reviewer also praised the cleanliness of the bathroom and shower facilities, describing them as "clean and neat." This is an important aspect for any campground, as clean and well-maintained facilities contribute significantly to a comfortable and positive camping experience. Furthermore, the reviewer noted the pleasant walking environment within the park itself. For those who enjoy exploring on foot, the park offers a nice area for strolls. Expanding beyond the park boundaries, the location is described as being in "farming country with country roads for long walks with beautiful sunsets," suggesting that the surrounding area offers opportunities for scenic walks and enjoying the rural landscape.
The customer service at Foxfire Family Fun Park also received positive feedback, with the "lady at the desk" being described as "so nice" and helpful. She provided recommendations for places to eat in town, which was conveniently located less than 15 minutes away. This suggests that while the park offers its own amenities, it is also within easy reach of local conveniences and dining options.
However, another reviewer offered a different perspective on the camping experience at Foxfire Family Fun Park. This reviewer expressed disappointment, noting that the campground seemed to be primarily occupied by individuals staying for extended periods, either year-round or for the summer season. This observation might suggest a strong seasonal or long-term community within the park, which could influence the atmosphere for short-term campers.
The same reviewer also mentioned a significant amount of "golf cart traffic" within the campground. While golf carts can be a convenient mode of transportation in larger parks, excessive traffic might detract from the peacefulness that some campers seek. Additionally, they noted that their campsite was near a road where a child repeatedly rode a dirt bike, contributing to noise. Other noise disturbances included someone playing music and later a hockey game being played outside. The sound of a dog barking downhill was also mentioned as a noise issue. These points suggest that while the park offers family-friendly activities, it might not always be the quietest camping environment.
Despite these noise concerns, the reviewer acknowledged that "The campground itself was ok" and that "The owners were friendly." They also mentioned using the laundry facilities, which "worked well," indicating that essential amenities are available and functional. The reviewer concluded that the park "would be great with kids with the pool and the fishing pond," reinforcing the idea that the park's strengths lie in its family-oriented recreational facilities.
Considering both reviews, Foxfire Family Fun Park appears to be a place that offers a lot in terms of recreational activities, particularly for families with children who would enjoy the swimming pond with a water slide, the fishing pond, and the swimming pool. The park is also well-maintained, with clean facilities, and is located in a scenic rural area with easy access to a nearby town. However, potential campers should be aware that the atmosphere might be influenced by a significant number of long-term or seasonal residents, and noise levels could be a concern due to golf cart traffic, recreational activities, and possibly pets.
For local users searching for "camping near me" with a focus on family fun and water-based activities, Foxfire Family Fun Park is worth considering. The availability of a swimming pond with a water slide, a separate fishing pond, and a swimming pool is a significant draw. The cleanliness of the facilities and the friendly service are also positives. However, those seeking a quieter camping experience should be prepared for potential noise from various sources and the possibility of a more long-term resident community within the park. It would be advisable for prospective campers to contact Foxfire Family Fun Park directly to inquire about campsite locations relative to potential noise sources, the typical occupancy during their intended stay, and any specific rules or guidelines regarding noise and vehicle traffic within the park. Understanding these aspects will help local users determine if Foxfire Family Fun Park aligns with their desired camping experience.

Foxfire Family Fun Park Reviews
Well maintained park with a pond for swimming, water slide and other end is for fishing. There is a swimming pool as well. The bathroom/shower was clean and neat. The area within the park is very nice for walking but just outside the park your in farming country with country roads for long walks with beautiful sunsets. The lady at the desk was so nice with recommendations on places to eat in town which was less then 15 minutes away.
Aug 12, 2018 · StephanieI was disappointed in the campground. It seems like most of the people there are there year round or for the summer season. There was a lot of golf cart traffic. The road was near our camper and a kid kept riding their dirt bike up and down the road. There was someone playing music and later a hockey game outside. We could hear a dog barking outside down the hill. The campground itself was ok. The owners were friendly. We used the laundry which worked well. It was just as not as quiet as I would have liked. I’m sure it would be great with kids with the pool and the fishing pond.
Apr 28, 2024 · Kathy DinseLoved this place, it's close to home. The price is cheap. There's a jungle gym for the kids also you have the lake or pool to choose to swim in. We'll definitely be going back and hoping to be able to take vacation and camp here around August.
Jun 04, 2024 · Linda BeechamFoxfire is awesome! They got a nice pond with plenty of inflatables for fun. Boats for riding on, a sectional to fish in and plenty of RV and tent spots. And everyone is so friendly there is a real sense of community. The owners are happy to answer any questions and more than willing to help out. Even their sons were asking if I needed help with anything. Great place to go for any getaway.
Nov 28, 2024 · Joshua RobinsonGreat campground. We stayed a week over The 4th. Really good firework display. The pool and lake was a lot of fun for the kids. Sits on a very quite road. Only thing that we thought was crazy is how much traffic that s around camp in the evening. A ton of golf carts cruzing the camp. But a really good place to camp.
