Grapevine Campground Introduce
Looking for a beautiful and serene spot for camping near you in Broken Bow, Oklahoma? Grapevine Campground, located at Broken Bow, OK 74728, USA, offers a picturesque setting for a local camping experience. Based on feedback from fellow campers, this campground provides a generally enjoyable environment with convenient access to natural attractions.
One of the notable advantages of Grapevine Campground is the accessibility of some campsites. For instance, site G24 was highlighted as being "pretty nice" due to the ability to drive up and unload gear directly at the site. Furthermore, several campsites are within walking distance of the river, offering easy access for leisurely strolls along the bank and potential water-related activities.
While the overall experience tends to be positive, it's worth noting some points raised by campers. One reviewer mentioned an instance of their campsite (on 10/28/23) flooding due to rain, though it "wasn’t too bad." Regarding pricing, there was a sentiment that it felt "pricey" due to a per-night spot fee in addition to a tent fee. This is something to consider when planning your budget for a camping trip here.
Restroom facilities are available, with one reviewer mentioning restrooms located between their campsite and others. It was also noted that the nearby Fern campground offers running toilets and hot showers, although these facilities can become busy and crowded, especially during peak times. Grapevine Campground itself has restrooms on-site, and one camper pointed out a water spigot located in front of these restrooms, which can be useful for filling up on water or washing dishes.
Some campers experienced issues with nighttime noise and light. Specifically, concerns were raised about vehicles driving around at night, which could illuminate tent areas. Additionally, despite a stated quiet time of 11 pm, there were instances of loud music playing considerably later, even until 2 am. If you are particularly sensitive to nighttime noise and light, this is something to be aware of.
Despite these points, the overall sentiment from campers leans towards a positive experience. The campground is described as "so beautiful" and "very calm." One visitor who went fall camping for a Friendsgiving trip had a "great time," finding it very relaxing. A delightful aspect mentioned by multiple reviewers is the potential to encounter deer during the day, adding to the natural charm of the location. The drive into the campsite itself is also praised for its beauty, particularly during the fall when the leaves are changing.
For those who appreciate celestial views, the stars at night are described as a "must to see," suggesting excellent stargazing opportunities due to potentially low light pollution. Many visitors express an intention to return to Grapevine Campground, indicating a generally satisfying experience.
The campsites at Grapevine Campground are noted to be "pretty separated," providing a degree of space and privacy between them. While the campsite numbers might not be immediately visible from the road, following the map provided during reservation should make them easy to locate. One consistent negative feedback point regarding the on-site restrooms is their odor, with one reviewer humorously suggesting to "hold your breath!" while using them. They also mentioned that toilet paper supply was generally adequate for most of their trip.
In summary, Grapevine Campground in Broken Bow offers a beautiful and relatively calm natural environment with river access and the chance to see wildlife. While there are some considerations regarding pricing, potential for flooding in certain conditions, nighttime noise, and the condition of the restrooms, the spacious and somewhat private campsites, coupled with the scenic surroundings and opportunities for stargazing, make it an appealing option for those seeking "camping near me" in the Broken Bow area. If you value a picturesque setting and don't mind some of the mentioned drawbacks, Grapevine Campground could be a wonderful choice for your next camping adventure.

Grapevine Campground Reviews
We enjoyed the campground, wasn’t bad or anything. Our site was G24, which was pretty nice being able to drive up and unload our gears, also it’s walking distance to the river. It did rain and flooded our campsite ( 10/28/23 ) but wasn’t too bad. For the price, I feel it’s pricey since you had to pay per night a spot fee and also a tent fee. There are restrooms between where we were at, but like people mention before, Fern does have running toilet and hot showers but it does get busy and crowded during peak times. The complaints I have is during night time and you’re in the tent and people driving around it will light up the whole tent area. Also, even though it says quiet time is at 11pm, expect to get loud music playing way past that time, like at 2am.
Oct 30, 2023 · Kevin MaiOverall this campsite was so beautiful, and very calm. It was our first time fall camping for a Friendsgiving trip. We had such a great time, very relaxing and you’ll probably run into a few deers during the day. That was a nice sight to see. Just the drive into the site was absolutely amazing. The leaves falling down throughout the day. The stars at night are a must to see! We will definitely be returning to this campsite! The campsites are pretty separated so there’s enough space and privacy in-between them. You do have to walk up to them to see the numbers because they’re not visible from the road, but follow the map when you make your reservation and it won’t be hard to find. There is a spigot in front of the restrooms, just incase you need to fill up on water or wash dishes. The only thing that I didn’t like was the restrooms they stink really bad! There’s enough toilet paper for most of your trip, but hold your breath! 😂
Nov 22, 2023 · L CI stayed in the Hickory Loop at Site H01. Avoid this site since it is directly across from the restroom which smells awful! The camp site elevation is lower than the parking area so everyone pulls in and their headlights shine right into your camp area. The camp areas are very close together with no privacy between sites. The site I was is was also dirty, uneven, and had ash piles in several spots. Noise people pulling In to set up camp at midnight. This camp ground is right on the river but across the river on the hill are several large cabins making it seem like you’re camping in someone’s backyard. Definitely not worth the drive!
Sep 28, 2024 · SmokeGrapevine is a great tent only campground and I would highly recommend it if you don’t mind driving down the road some to the Fern campground to use the restroom and shower. The only reason for 4 stars is due to the restroom situation in the grapevine campground area. The restroom building has two restrooms only with no lighting and it’s a hole in the floor with a toilet seat over top.The views and peaceful scenery around the campground is very nice. There’s a large cliff across the river from the campsites that is beautiful especially in the fall. Plenty of space between the sites. Water spigots and Trash dumpsters available. Sites have fire ring, standing grill, and concrete picnic tables.I’d recommend a higher up campsite like GV024. The site in my photos attached to this review is down a hill near the river bed at site GV017.
Sep 12, 2023 · Hunter RobinsonCame here for a first time solo camp. Reservations are made easily on the Beavers Bend website. The grounds are quiet and well kept. Beautiful scenery. The ground is quite hard, so I'd recommend some strong tent pegs. I'll definitely be returning.
