The fact that restrooms are available, even without a detailed description of their condition, indicates a basic amenity provided for campers. The history associated with the old fire watch tower foundation adds a unique element to the hiking experience.

Hickory Nut Mountain Campground Reviews
Nice view. Not much place to pop up a tent. There is seriously broken glass all over the ground. My husband joked there must have been a glass factory there once. I saw others comment about it but totally underestimated how much glass there could be. It was actually concerning since we had our 3 year old with us.
Jun 08, 2021 · Janee ClayBeautiful trails and clean campground. Restrooms available, I didn’t see inside them so I don’t know if they were clean or not, but everything else was nice. I hiked up to where the old fire watch tower was. It isn’t there anymore but you can see the foundation blocks. Pretty little hike.
Sep 24, 2022 · Thomas CluffGreat campsite with parking, picnic tables, fire rings, grills, and a restroom. Right next to the trails! Beautiful view of lake below. Only issue was some broken glass around the picnic area. Please pack out all of your trash!
May 31, 2020 · Kelsie MyersDecent place to camp. There are outhouse style bathrooms but no running water.
Apr 16, 2019 · Derek ShoptawSo out of the way! But the views make it well worth the drive! It's down a rough, narrow gravel road. So keep that in mind. Can't pull an rv or anything big up there. But the views are breathtaking!
