Jun 27, 2022 · Lloyd McLaughlinGreat location and fantastic people running the place. Matt and Angie want everyone to have a great time and they really take care of everyone that comes in. Hidden Valley is a special place focused on building community and friendship. Vinton is also a beautiful part of Iowa made great by the people that live there. Had a great weekend visit.
Jun 19, 2022 · Chris McQueenVery beautiful campground the owners are extremely friendly and pretty involved I enjoyed chatting with them spots off the river allow for good fishing though it was a bit floodedQuite secluded but yet close enough to the town to bikethey had free root beer floats toDefinitely worth visiting
Jul 05, 2024 · Abram VolkovGreat views, extremely nice owners, excellent price for electric only sites. Two downsides - not all sites have gravel pads and we had a challenge leveling and keeping level because the ground was so soft and no bathhouse, just porta-potties which is a challenge without water at the sites. Quiet hours are 9pm to 8am and the gate gets closed at 9pm, just let them know if you'll be after 9pm. They are dog friendly, Benton Cty has a ban on Pitties. We were there for a family function so we weren't at the campground much but would go back if we could get a site with a gravel pad.
