Lake Cove Resort & Realty Introduce
Looking for a "camping near me" experience right on the shores of Douglas Lake in Tennessee? Lake Cove Resort & Realty, located at 1889 Oak Grove Rd, Dandridge, TN 37725, USA, offers a unique setting for RV owners seeking a quiet and lakeside retreat. While the reviews provide mixed feedback, particularly regarding the rental campers, the location itself and the facilities for those with their own RVs seem to hold appeal for local users wanting a getaway close to nature.
The environment of Lake Cove Resort & Realty is undoubtedly a major draw, being situated directly on Douglas Lake. This prime location allows for easy access to the lake, with one reviewer mentioning that you can walk to it. The beauty of Douglas Lake provides opportunities for various water-related activities and offers scenic views for a relaxing camping experience. The campground is described as being in a nice area and right off the lake, suggesting a tranquil setting away from the hustle and bustle. However, it's noted that the roads within the property are very steep, which is characteristic of the mountainous terrain in the region. This is something to be aware of, especially for those with larger RVs or mobility concerns.
The services and features at Lake Cove Resort & Realty appear to cater primarily to RV owners. One reviewer who stayed with their own camper described it as a nice place to be, implying that the RV sites are well-suited for those traveling with their own accommodations. The campground offers a pool and a shower house, as indicated by an attached photo in one of the reviews. These are valuable amenities for any camper, providing opportunities for recreation and maintaining hygiene during your stay. Additionally, the mention of maintenance being responsive when called suggests that the staff is attentive to the needs of the guests and addresses issues that arise.
However, it is crucial for local users considering renting one of the campers at Lake Cove Resort & Realty to be aware of the significant issues highlighted in a detailed review. This guest experienced several problems with a rental camper, including a lack of blinds, no functional heat (with inadequate temporary heaters provided), windows that didn't close properly and had to be taped, a faulty air conditioner, a dirty mattress, and a broken couch. These issues paint a concerning picture of the condition of at least one of the rental units. Furthermore, this reviewer mentioned difficulties with payment and the loss of a deposit due to leaving early because of the unsatisfactory conditions. This strongly suggests that prospective renters should exercise caution and perhaps inquire extensively about the specific condition and amenities of any rental camper before booking.
One of the unique features of Lake Cove Resort & Realty is its self-proclaimed "old school" approach, emphasizing a getaway from the burdens of city life. This translates to a notable absence of campground-provided WiFi. Additionally, cell phone service is reported to be spotty for both T-Mobile and Verizon users. The reviewer explicitly states that a cell data signal booster is necessary for internet access. This is a significant consideration for local users who rely on internet connectivity for work, communication, or entertainment. If staying connected is a priority, you will need to plan accordingly and potentially bring your own signal boosting equipment.
Regarding promotional information, the provided reviews do not mention any specific discounts or special offers. The negative review about the rental camper mentions a weekly rate of $300 and a $75 allowance for electricity, with potential overage charges. It also mentions a $100 deposit that was forfeited due to early departure. For local users interested in rates for RV sites or any potential promotions, it is essential to contact Lake Cove Resort & Realty directly at (865) 397-4080 or +1 865-397-4080. They will be able to provide the most accurate and current information on pricing for RV sites, cabin rentals (if available), and any seasonal or local discounts that might apply.
In summary, Lake Cove Resort & Realty offers a lakeside location on Douglas Lake that appears to be appreciated by those who bring their own RVs and are seeking a quiet, "old school" camping experience. The presence of a pool and shower house adds to the amenities for these guests. However, the experience of a reviewer who rented a camper was overwhelmingly negative, citing numerous maintenance and cleanliness issues. Therefore, local users considering renting a camper at this location should proceed with extreme caution and thoroughly inquire about the specific unit they would be renting. For RV owners, the quiet lakeside setting might be appealing, but the steep roads within the campground and the lack of campground-provided WiFi and spotty cell service are important factors to consider. Contact Lake Cove Resort & Realty directly at (865) 397-4080 or +1 865-397-4080 for the most accurate information regarding RV site availability, pricing, and any potential promotions, and be sure to ask detailed questions about the condition and amenities if you are considering renting a camper.

Lake Cove Resort & Realty Reviews
I gave a 3 because if you have your own camper it is a nice place to be. We stayed here two years ago for almost a year in a cabin and loved it. Decided to move back and rent one of their campers for a few months until we found a permanent spot. We have been here for two weeks. No blinds on the camper, he was supposed to put some in. No heat in the camper and he gave us two small heaters but you can't run both because it blows the breaker that is locked up and can't get to it. We were told by maintenance that they had a bigger one in another camper and he would bring it up. A week later still never did. The windows don't close all the way. They had to be taped. The air conditioner in the back bedroom has holes on the board so tons of coldair comes in. We froze every night and morning and got sick. The back bed has I think poop on it so we flipped it and put a mattress pad on it. . Dog hair everywhere. Had to clean the camper as soon as we moved into it. Couch is broken and has been taped to cover a hole. They rent this for $300 a week. And if we would've stayed we probably would of went over the $75 that is included for electric, because we had to run the little heater almost all day just to try to stay warm.so leaving after two weeks and because we didn't stay for 4 weeks we lose our $100 deposit. No one at the office on Friday and that's the only day you can pay. They had me put cash in an envelope and put it in the slot. Never brought me my receipt. So renting one of their campers. I definitely don't recommend. But if you have your own it's a quiet nice area and right off the lake. I would recommend for people that have their own camper. But I definitely don't recommend renting one of their campers. I'm definitely not that desperate to find a permanent spot to waste $1200 a month. Especially right now hotels are cheaper than this until next month.

This campground is right on Douglas Lake and you can walk to it. The roads are very steep but that is what it is like living in the mountains. We came over from Sherman Oaks, just two miles away. One caveat about this campground is that they pride themselves on being “old school”, where you can get away from the burden of city life. There is no WiFi here run by the campground. T-Mobile and Verizon are very spotty for a signal. You will have to have a cell data signal booster if you want internet. The photos attached, one is of the pool and one of the shower house.
Jun 01, 2024 · Jacques ChabotSteve is a reliable and knowledgeable mechanic. I feel that when my car is in his shop, it is in good hands. We take all of are vehicles to Steve for repairs. He's the best mechanic I have found in our area. He's a gem!
Feb 21, 2025 · Chell JacksonFirst off, Dave isn't rude.He has to keep a level of professional demeanor or he'll soon be stepped on.I rented till my health went down...Upkeep on the property was awesome. If it came a gully washer, the graters hit the road asap afterwards. The Cats? They are well taken care of by the community....and Dave.Never saw a roach the entire time I was there.I loved it there.
Oct 03, 2024 · Barbara BurnsThis place needs closed down. Owners are just as sorry as the management they have running it. They cover up black mold. Refuse to fix . Had to call police over stolen items. Had the nerve to pack up what they didn't steal in trash bags. Very poorly packed . Sick they stole from me after everything else.
