For local residents seeking a "camping near me" experience directly on the shores of Lake Ozark, Lake of The Ozarks Campgrounds: Section 3, located on an Unnamed Road in Brumley, MO 65017, USA, offers a promising destination. While a specific phone number is not provided in the available information, this section of the Lake of The Ozarks Campgrounds appears to provide a serene environment and access to various lake activities, as indicated by recent customer reviews.
One reviewer who visited in December 2024 highlighted the "quiet place" atmosphere, suggesting a peaceful retreat, particularly during the off-season. The availability of "Clean bathrooms" is also noted, an essential amenity for any camper. The reviewer mentioned a temporary closure of the main opening, requiring the use of the "lower entrance," but appreciated the presence of "signs to lead the way," indicating helpful navigation even with altered access. Their stay in "spot 139" was deemed a "great spot for good pictures," hinting at scenic views from at least some of the campsites within Section 3.
Another camper described their experience as "Great camping!" and noted the diverse and welcoming community, mentioning encountering "Cool people from basically anywhere. Ukraine, Mexico..." This suggests a potentially vibrant and inclusive atmosphere where campers from various backgrounds come together to enjoy the lake. The reviewer also praised the "Excellent staff" and emphasized the feeling of being "very safe" within the campground. For pet owners, it's reassuring to know that "Pets are all leashed," contributing to a safe and comfortable environment for both animals and other campers.
A significant feature of Lake of The Ozarks Campgrounds: Section 3 is the availability of "Boat rental, kayak up to power boats." This provides campers with convenient access to explore Lake Ozark by water, whether they prefer a leisurely paddle in a kayak or the speed and power of a motorboat. The reviewer who stayed at "site 175" mentioned a "Good view of the water," further emphasizing the lakeside location and the potential for scenic campsites. While they noted that "Shade could've been better" at their specific site, they also acknowledged that "there's many shaded spots" available within the campground, suggesting a variety of campsite environments to suit different preferences.
For those needing to stock up on supplies, it's important to note that "They do not sell cigarettes in the park." However, the availability of "beers for $2 each at the boat ramp store" might be a welcome convenience for some adult campers. The reviewer also pointed out that "Town isn't far, 20 minutes if your provisions run short," indicating that essential shopping and other amenities are within a reasonable driving distance.
Based on these reviews, Lake of The Ozarks Campgrounds: Section 3 offers a lakeside camping experience with a focus on a quiet and safe environment. Key features include clean bathroom facilities, potentially scenic campsites (like spot 139 with good photo opportunities and site 175 with water views), and the significant convenience of on-site boat and kayak rentals. The staff is described as excellent, and the community of campers appears to be diverse and friendly. The pet-friendly policy (with leashes required) is another notable aspect.
While specific details about other services and amenities are not explicitly mentioned, one can typically expect standard campground provisions such as designated campsites, potential water and electrical hookups (though this needs to be verified), and waste disposal facilities. The presence of a boat ramp store suggests that basic necessities or perhaps some camping supplies might be available there, in addition to the mentioned beer sales. Given the lakefront location, opportunities for swimming and fishing are also likely, though not directly confirmed in the provided text.
Promotional information is not explicitly included in the reviews. Local users interested in potential discounts for residents, off-season rates (as hinted at by the December visitor's experience), or any package deals related to boat rentals should directly contact the management of Lake of The Ozarks Campgrounds: Section 3. As a section of a larger campground entity, it's possible that information regarding promotions might be available on a central website or by contacting a general inquiry line for the Lake of The Ozarks Campgrounds, if one exists.

Its quiet atmosphere, clean facilities, friendly community, excellent staff, and the convenience of on-site boat and kayak rentals make it an attractive choice for various types of campers. The availability of both potentially scenic and shaded campsites caters to different preferences. While the absence of a direct phone number in the provided information might require a bit more searching to make a reservation, the positive reviews highlight the potential for a memorable camping getaway on the shores of Lake Ozark.

What a quiet place in Dec. 2024. Clean bathrooms. The main opening was closed at the time so we had to use the lower entrance. But there were signs to lead the way. We stayed in spot 139 great spot for good pictures

Aug 09, 2024 · Craig BaerVery nice , state parks sometimes are ran down, camp hosts very attentive to noise at late hours from people which is nice. tent sites spacious , bathrooms clean, only issue was rv people overflow parking were using a bath houses spaces so that was a pain
Jun 08, 2024 · Norman JacksonWe stayed in site 80. Our site and the sites all around us had lots of room which maked them feel somewhat private. The pad had a slight incline across it, but not enough to require leveling our small camper. The fire pit had a lot of ashes in it, so it was due to be cleaned out, but not so bad that we couldn't have fires. The bathrooms/shower rooms were clean and big.
