Lincolnwood Resort & Bar Introduce
For local residents seeking "camping near me" in the Birchwood, Wisconsin area, Lincolnwood Resort & Bar, located at N1075 East Side Rd, Birchwood, WI 54817, USA, presents a lakeside option that combines potential camping facilities with an on-site bar and restaurant. The provided phone numbers, (715) 354-3533 and +1 715-354-3533, can be used for inquiries regarding camping availability and other services. It is important for potential visitors to consider recent customer reviews, which primarily focus on the dining and bar aspects of the resort.
The environment of Lincolnwood Resort & Bar is described as a "really nice place on the lake," indicating a picturesque lakeside setting that would likely appeal to campers who enjoy water views and potential lake access for activities such as swimming, fishing, or boating. The specific type of lake and the extent of the resort's lakefront are not detailed, but the positive mention suggests a pleasant natural backdrop for a camping stay. The Birchwood area itself is known for its natural beauty and numerous lakes, making it a popular destination for outdoor recreation. For those searching "camping near me" who value a lakeside location as part of their camping experience, Lincolnwood Resort & Bar offers this appealing environmental feature.
Information regarding specific camping services and features at Lincolnwood Resort & Bar is limited in the provided reviews, as the feedback primarily focuses on the bar and restaurant. Therefore, we can only speculate on the potential camping-related services and features based on the nature of a "resort" and general expectations for a lakeside property. Potential camping services and features might include:
- Campsites: The resort likely offers campsites, which could range from tent sites to RV sites with varying levels of hookups (electric, water, sewer). The number and type of campsites are not specified.
- Restroom and Shower Facilities: Given that it is a resort, it is probable that restroom and shower facilities are available for campers, although the quality and accessibility are not mentioned in the reviews.
- Water Access: As it is located on a lake, direct access to the water for recreational activities is a likely feature for campers. This could include a beach area, docks, or boat launch facilities.
- Fire Pits or Grills: Campsites often include designated areas for campfires and grilling.
- Picnic Tables: Campsites are typically equipped with picnic tables for outdoor dining.
- Trash Disposal: Facilities for proper waste disposal would likely be provided.
- Resort Amenities: Being part of a resort, campers might have access to other amenities such as parking, common areas, or potentially even Wi-Fi, although this is not confirmed.
For local users searching "camping near me" at a location with lakeside access, Lincolnwood Resort & Bar is a potential option. However, it is crucial to contact the resort directly to inquire about the availability and specifics of their camping facilities.
The primary feature that distinguishes Lincolnwood Resort & Bar from a traditional campground is the presence of an on-site bar and restaurant. However, the customer reviews provide significant negative feedback regarding this aspect of the resort. Key points from the reviews regarding the bar and restaurant include:
- Bad Food Quality: One review states, "Food was bad," and another describes fried fish as "very over cooked, so was quite dry and chewy," and garlic mashed potatoes with "zero garlic flavor." Another reviewer mentioned the pizza was "ok" but not fancy.
- Poor Drink Service: Complaints include "under-poured 'double' drinks" where a 3-count pour was charged as a double, and significantly more alcohol was received for the same price at nearby establishments.
- Slow and Poor Service: Multiple reviews mention slow service, with one noting a server who was "getting her butt kicked," and another detailing a significant delay in one person receiving their meal, which ultimately led to them declining it. There were also issues with drink orders being forgotten or repeated.
- Decline in Quality: One reviewer who had visited three years prior noted a significant decline in both food and service quality.
While the "really nice place on the lake" is a positive feature of the location, the overwhelmingly negative feedback about the bar and restaurant is a significant consideration for potential campers who might plan to utilize these on-site facilities. Local users searching "camping near me" should be aware of these reported issues if they intend to dine or have drinks at the resort.
Currently, there is no information available in the provided reviews regarding any promotional offers specifically for camping at Lincolnwood Resort & Bar. Resorts sometimes offer packages that combine accommodation with dining or other amenities, but there is no mention of such offers in the feedback. To inquire about any potential camping-related promotions, local users should:
- Contact Lincolnwood Resort & Bar directly using the provided phone numbers: Calling (715) 354-3533 or +1 715-354-3533 is the best way to get information about camping rates and any special offers that might be available.
- Check for a website or social media presence for the resort: These online platforms might contain information about camping and any ongoing promotions.
- Inquire about package deals: Ask if there are any packages that combine camping with dining or other resort amenities, although given the negative reviews of the food and bar, this might not be a primary interest for most.
Local users searching "camping near me" should be prepared to inquire specifically about camping rates and any potential discounts, as the provided reviews do not offer any information in this regard.
In conclusion, Lincolnwood Resort & Bar in Birchwood, Wisconsin, offers a "camping near me" option with a potentially beautiful lakeside environment. However, the provided customer reviews focus heavily on significant issues with the on-site bar and restaurant, including poor food quality, inadequate drink service, and slow/poor overall service. While camping facilities are likely available given the "resort" designation, specific details about the campsites and related amenities are not provided in the reviews. Local residents considering camping at Lincolnwood Resort & Bar should be aware of the reported problems with the dining and bar aspects and are strongly advised to contact the resort directly to obtain detailed information about their camping facilities, rates, and any potential promotional offers. The discrepancy between the positive mention of the lake location and the negative feedback about the food and service highlights the importance of gathering comprehensive and up-to-date information before making a decision.

Lincolnwood Resort & Bar Reviews
Food was bad, under-poured "double" drinks, and slow/poor service.5 people in our group, first 2 ordered the broiled fish, next person a pizza, and the last 2 fried fish. The pizza came out first and wasn't fancy, but they said it was ok. Next came one of the broiled fish about 5 minutes later. After another 5 or so minutes the 2 fried fish came out. After another 5 or so minutes the manager (as we later learned) asked the 2nd person in our group if they weren't eating since they had no food. He stated that it hadn't come out yet. She walked away appearing like she was going to check on it. She never came back to update him. Later as the 4 of us were now finishing our meals, the bartender who took our order asked how everything was, we still had 1 person who hadn't gotten his food yet. Of course when she went to check on it it magically was just finally ready, but at that point he declined the meal as the rest of us were done eating. Why did the food come out at all different times when we ordered together? Why didn't the 2 broiled fish at least come out at the same time? It was not super busy when we were there as it was probably 730 when we arrived.I had the fried fish with garlic mashed potatoes. The fish was very over cooked, so was quite dry and chewy. The garlic mashed potatoes had a ton of butter, but zero garlic flavor. They had told us they ran out of coleslaw, but said there was some we could help ourselves with at the salad bar. I didn't bother since the rest of the food sucked and I couldn't imagine that would have saved the crappy $17 meal.Bartender was short pouring "doubles," as she was pouring a 3-count for them, but we found we still got charged for doubles. We later ordered the same drinks at 2 other nearby places and got 2x more alcohol for about the same price we paid here. She also would ask us if we wanted another drink, then not get them for us, returning later asking what we wanted like we hadn't already ordered from her.As a whole, this place is an absolute disaster as a restaurant and bar. I was here 3 years ago and service and food were both good. What happened?
Feb 02, 2025 · Greg BatzGood food. Server was getting her butt kicked with customers and service was a bit long-in-the-tooth, but not her fault. Really nice place on the lake, though.
Oct 03, 2024 · Damion S.I have been a patron of Lincolnwood for the past 10 years. Over this time, I have experienced consistently high standards with their food, service, and atmosphere. For the first time in 10 years, these standards fell short.Recently, I visited Lincolnwood with my best friend and our significant others. Our waitress/bartender almost seemed bothered that she had to tend to us and preferred to stay behind the bar. She checked on us maybe once during our stay. My best friend and I each ordered a Long Lake Tea. The Long Lake Tea has been a staple cocktail at Lincolnwood for years. The drinks we received were weak and not up to standard. My significant other ordered the Blackberry Mule. It lacked any flavor of blackberry or vodka, and only tasted of Sprite, which is not in a traditional Moscow Mule.We had originally ordered bone-in chicken wings with sweet chili sauce, the big pretzel, and the mac & cheese bites. The chicken wings have always been a significant highlight of our time at Lincolnwood, dare to say some of the best that we have ever tasted. We substituted for the Southwest Eggrolls after learning they were out of mac & cheese bites. The chicken wings were cold in the middle, not tossed in the sweet chili sauce as requested, and the eggrolls were overpriced for the quality of the product that we received. Another party of four next to us received the same level of attention that we did from the waitress/bartender.The new owners of Lincolnwood have been putting in a great amount of effort to update the interior, exterior, and campsites at Lincolnwood. But if these new changes come at the expense of quality food, drinks, and service, I can safely say that I will not be returning any time in the near future.
Jul 14, 2024 · Daniel NelsonWe had the Friday fish. It was by far the best fish we've ever had!!! I highly recommend it!!
Sep 14, 2024 · Tammy SimonsonHave been coming here since mid 1980's. The cabins and grounds have been continuously improved over the years. The management has always been nice and accomodating. We come here for fishing the lake and recharging from our hectic home life. New stairs to / from boat docks are a huge improvement.
