Based on feedback from local visitors utilizing platforms for "camping near me," Mineral Springs Lake Resort boasts a particularly appealing environment centered around its clear lake. Several reviewers highlight the exceptional clarity of the water, making it ideal for swimming and even observing the fish. One visitor mentioned making the drive multiple times during the summer, emphasizing their family's enjoyment of swimming in the clear water and feeding the fish. The visibility in the water is such that you can see your feet even in deeper areas, adding to the enjoyable swimming experience.
The resort offers various services and features to enhance your visit. Swimming appears to be a primary draw, with the clear lake being a significant attraction. It's important to note that life jackets are required for everyone, ensuring a focus on safety while enjoying the water activities. Some visitors have suggested wearing a shirt to prevent potential chafing from the life jackets, indicating a proactive approach to comfort and safety.
In terms of features, the resort includes some inflatable water attractions. However, past experiences shared by visitors suggest that the maintenance and supervision of these inflatables have been inconsistent. One review detailed an incident where inflatables were not properly inflated, leading to a safety concern and an injury. The reviewer also noted a lack of immediate lifeguard presence at the time. While subsequent visits showed improvement in inflation levels, some guests opted to focus on other water activities and the sand area. The trampoline was mentioned as an enjoyable feature that their children continued to use.
Beyond the water activities, Mineral Springs Lake Resort provides a nice shelter area, which includes swings that have been popular among children. While a slide was reportedly not operational during a recent summer, the availability of a food truck offers convenient on-site dining options. A small store is also present, selling food and merchandise like t-shirts. One visitor found the t-shirts to be of good quality and reasonably priced, although they noted that the food from the store was not to their liking. The presence of music appears to be intermittent, with one reviewer mentioning music playing only once out of three visits during a summer.
Interestingly, Mineral Springs Lake Resort also serves as a venue for events. One review came from someone who hosted a wedding reception there and praised the hospitality they received. They were even invited back to DJ, highlighting the positive experience with the staff and the resort's potential as an event location.

Mineral Springs Lake Resort Reviews
We made this drive 3 times this summer a little over an hour from us. My family loves going and swimming and feeding the fish. The water is so clear you can see your feet even when you're out in the deep water.Everyone is required to wear life jackets. You may want to wear a shirt because it will rub your skin raw.First time we went over the summer, everything seemed fine except the inflatables weren't blown up properly, which became a safety hazard. My 7 year old daughter fell from the top of the slide about 12-15ft down face first, and there wasn't no life guard around. The slide was so packed that even a child weighing 50lbs made it dent down. I said something, and they sent 2 life guards down who didn't do anything they just stood there talking while 2 more kids got hurt. When we went back the next weekend there was more air added. We went back 2 more times, and my kids didn't play on the inflatables they just played in the water and sand... except for the trampoline. There is a nice shelter to have lunch with swings that are always a big hit. The slide wasn't going this summer so that was a bummer. They do have a food truck. My friend bought food from the little store and shirts from the little store she said food wasn't good but the shirts are nice quality and decently priced. Music was hit and miss out of the 3 times this summer they only had music playing one time. I really feel like they should have more inflatables.
Aug 24, 2023 · Corinna LynchDid a wedding reception there and everyone treated us great. Wanted us to come back and DJ the next weekend but it's just too far away for us. Thanks for the hospitality.
Sep 14, 2024 · Jeff RunkMy friend’s family camps here every summer, and has their own camper down there. Every-time I’ve been there has been so incredibly fun and a great experience. All of the worker’s are very nice, the place is nice and has so many fun things to do. Swimming at the beach is very fun especially with all the inflatables. Also just going out on the boat and enjoying the view, fishing, or just swimming is very fun. Love the trails and riding the golf cart around the campsite, meeting new people and making friends. Lots of other kids there, it is great. The park is amazing, basketball and volleyball courts, and sometimes they even have an inflatable trampoline sort of thing blown up that is fun to jump around on. The camp store has all sorts of things you might need, plus the staff is very helpful. They also have very fun events on certain days or holidays like 4th of July, Halloween, and sometimes a band playing, etc. Overall I’ve had great experiences and highly suggest going here. I’ve read the other reviews and people seem to have trouble when staying in the cabins which I have never done or seen. But camping out in your own camper is fun.
Feb 13, 2021 · Brooke TaulbeeThis resort has so much potential. We are first year campers and there is so much we love. There are things that could be better (like any business - we don't expect perfection). I wish the 'quiet times' would be enforced. There seems to be a laissez-faire attitude about some rules. I understand that the new owners are making many changes so we may have arrived at the right time. We hope to spend many years here enjoying our summer lake view campsite! The resort store is pretty cool. Nicely stocked. The new golf cart trails are super fun. If you are looking for fun you can find it at Mineral Springs. We are looking forward to warmer weather to enjoy the crystal clear water!!!!!
May 04, 2021 · Bo McCoyPretty sure I've already left a review about here, but Google just prompted me. Love it here, the staff is always funny and friendly. We love the trails, and the lake is gorgeous. Crystal clear water, a fun obstacle course that floats in the swimming area. Our three year old son even does it. Cannot wait till the trails open up so we can start going back. We have a camper down here, and have made some friends.
