Mountain View Motorcycle Campground Reviews
Stayed here recently with 3 motorcycle buddies. Fortunately we were in the bunkhouse because it was very rainy. The bunkhouse is decorated with lots ofmoto memorabilia. The kitchen/ dining area makes it easy to enjoy your morning coffee and takeout food. Comfortable sleeping and excellent bathrooms and showers. The hosts Mark and Janine are very guest friendly. The on-site workshop and tools came in handy because I had a significant problem with my bike that Mark helped me diagnose. I look forward to a return visit to continue the tour of the Boone area!
Apr 15, 2024 · edgar williamsGreat campground that has become my go-to motorcycle destination in the mountains. The hosts are the nicest people, bunkhouse, cabins, and showers are always spotless (linens and towels provided!), and a shop on-site if you have a mechanical issue. The yellow table in the bunkhouse is the gathering place at night to talk about the days ride among new and old friends. A+

Jun 05, 2024 · Chris Smith (chrisandcami)Another perfect stay at Mountain View. The hosts and location make this my hands down favorite in the region for times when I want to get away and either get in some alone time or make new friends with other riders/campers.Update 10-13-24 I had to get away from the impact of Helene. I'm from Old Fort, NC just east of Asheville. After seeing my community nearly destroyed and, after nearly two weeks of dealing with the impact, I finally decided that I needed a “mental health day.” I rode north to do The Snake and was shocked to see the devastation that also extended well up into that area, as well.I decided to stay at Mountain View after the ride, without calling ahead, and found upon pulling in that they were actually a staging site for relief efforts. Many of their customers had come from as far away as Baton Rouge, LA (also my home town, coincidentally) to help the Elk Park, NC and surrounding communities. It was an amazing thing to witness and speaks volumes about the kind of people that not only own, but also visit this place.I returned home the next day to help again in my community, but was re-energized to see first-hand what was taking place there. Just fine good people...This photo is after a hard day’s work, members of the relief effort strategizing how to concentrate their efforts the following day....
