Outdoor Adventures Campground Introduce
If you're a local user in the Neillsville, Wisconsin area searching for "camping near me," Outdoor Adventures Campground, situated at W8355 US-10, Neillsville, WI 54456, USA, is one of the options you might come across. They can be contacted at (715) 743-2000 or their mobile number, +1 715-743-2000, for inquiries about availability and services.
Based on recent feedback from individuals who have stayed at Outdoor Adventures Campground, the experiences appear to be significantly varied, and it's crucial for potential visitors to be aware of the issues raised. One reviewer mentioned having an "absolute awesome time" while staying in a "cozy camper," suggesting that some accommodation options might offer a pleasant experience, particularly for those seeking a romantic getaway.
However, the majority of the recent feedback paints a concerning picture regarding the campground's infrastructure and management. A detailed review from a guest staying over Memorial Day weekend highlighted a critical issue: the absence of water supply. This reviewer stated that despite it being a holiday weekend, the water was unavailable due to the installation of new water lines, which they also claimed were being buried at an insufficient depth, potentially violating regulations. This lack of a basic amenity like water would undoubtedly impact the overall camping experience negatively.
Furthermore, the same reviewer expressed serious concerns about the trustworthiness of the owners, alleging that the campground owes them money and is unwilling to pay. They described the campsite as a "total disaster" and deemed the seasonal site fee of $1900.00 as not worthwhile under the current conditions. The review also included alarming claims about past mismanagement, such as the campsite reportedly having no electricity for two weeks the previous year due to an unpaid electric bill. These allegations of financial instability and neglect of essential utilities are significant red flags for potential campers.
Adding to these concerns, the reviewer mentioned the operation of a "dive bar" on the premises without a proper liquor permit and alleged numerous food violations occurring within the bar. They also reported that the power was not being turned on in the outhouse, further indicating a disregard for basic guest comfort and potentially safety. The reviewer strongly advised against staying at Outdoor Adventures Campground, even as a last resort, and indicated their intention to pursue legal action to recover the money they claim to be owed.
Given these serious and detailed allegations from a recent customer, local users searching for "camping near me" should exercise extreme caution when considering Outdoor Adventures Campground. The issues raised go beyond mere inconveniences and touch upon fundamental aspects of safety, hygiene, and the provision of essential services like water and electricity. The claims about the legality of the ongoing construction and the operation of unlicensed facilities are particularly troubling.
While one positive review mentioned a "cozy camper" and an "awesome time," this positive feedback is starkly contrasted by the extensive and severe criticisms regarding the lack of essential amenities, alleged financial mismanagement, and potential legal and regulatory violations. It is important to note that this introduction aims to provide an objective overview based on the available online information, and the strong negative feedback cannot be ignored.
For local campers looking for a reliable and enjoyable outdoor experience, it would be prudent to thoroughly investigate the current status of Outdoor Adventures Campground before making any reservations. Contacting the owners directly at the provided phone numbers might offer some clarification, but the detailed nature of the negative review suggests systemic issues that potential guests should be aware of. It would also be wise to seek out alternative campgrounds in the Neillsville, Wisconsin area that have more consistently positive recent reviews to ensure a more satisfactory camping experience.
In conclusion, while Outdoor Adventures Campground is located within the vicinity for those searching for "camping near me" in Neillsville, WI, the recent customer feedback raises significant concerns about the campground's infrastructure, management, and overall suitability for a pleasant camping trip. Potential visitors should carefully consider the issues highlighted in the reviews before making a decision and may want to explore other camping options in the area to ensure a more reliable and enjoyable outdoor adventure.

Outdoor Adventures Campground Reviews
Had an absolute awesome time.. stayed in a cozy camper great for a romantic getaway..
Sep 18, 2017 · Stacey SchraderIt's memorial day weekend still no water. They are putting new water lines only 2 feet deep I'm sure this is illegal. Owes me money and doesn't want to pay. They are very untrustworthy. The campsite is a total disaster. Seasonal sites are $1900.00 not worth it. Last year they didn't pay there electric bill campsite had no electricity for 2 weeks. They have there dive bar open with no liquor permit. There are many food violations happening inside of that bar. Won't turn the power on in the out house. Probably on the verge of having power shut off again.I don't recommend anyone staying there even as a last resort. The owner's owe myself $1900.00 they are not responding. Going to take them to small claims court.
Jun 09, 2021 · Larry BiggsPlenty of treed campsites, but this is predominantly an RV park that caters to the ATV aficionado. We were tent camping and had a great time! Very clean and modern (for a campground) bathroom facilities with pay showers. $1.00 = 7 minutes. Plenty of time for the average adult. They sell firewood and ice right on site and both are incredibly cheap by today's standards. One $8.00 bundle of wood lasted us nearly the entire weekend. And bags of ice were just $2. The only reason I did not rate this as a 5-star site is due to the loudness of all ATVs, even at low speeds, constantly coming into and going out of the campground. But they were all very respectful of the posted speed limits and were all very friendly. Too bad I didn't have an ATV of my own! Lots of fun to be had!
May 31, 2018 · Jon ReimerOwner lied to me on phone when making reservation. Told me we have a restaurant and bar on site. They dont. 45 bucks per night. We left after the first night to go elsewhere. Electric box cover feel off when i touched it. Water didn't work. Shower wouldn't work had to get owner to turn it on. Water was scalding hot when it did come on. Owner still charged for 2 nights. No one camping there, plenty of room so they didn't turn anyone away because of our reservation. I will say they were nice enough but takes more than apologies to make up for the shortcomings of this campground. This place was empty for a reason. Camp ground down the road (snyders) booked solid, packed full. Avoid this place at all costs.
Sep 29, 2020 · Rich FeaginThey are the most kind friendly people around. This place is absolutely amazing. A cute little getaway with amazing food and amenities. I would recommend this place ten fold. I cant wait to go back. I cant wait to see the updates! My family and I felt like we had known Brian and Sandy our whole life! Clean bathrooms and nice hot showers. Close enough to town but yet nice and quiet. Great access to the atv trails as well. I love this place!!!
