Based on the available customer reviews, this introduction will detail the environment, services, and features of Paris Park, highlighting why it's an excellent "camping near me" choice for local users.
Paris Park is situated in Paris, Michigan, likely offering a serene and natural environment typical of the region. What sets this park apart is its direct access to a river, described by one reviewer as "shallow but the water is always refreshing," making it ideal for a quick swim or a relaxing break. This river access is a significant environmental feature, providing opportunities for water-based recreation right within the park.
The park's location along the White Pine Trail is another key environmental and accessibility feature. The White Pine Trail is a well-known rail-trail popular for biking and hiking. The reviewer who mentioned bike packing the trail noted that "Entry is free for bikes," making Paris Park a welcoming stop for those exploring the trail. This connectivity to a major recreational trail enhances the park's appeal for local users who enjoy cycling or walking.
Furthermore, the historical context of Paris Park as "part of an old fish rearing facility" adds a unique dimension to its environment. This history likely means the park may feature remnants or informational displays related to its past, offering an educational aspect to a visit. The presence of old structures or ponds from the fish rearing facility could also contribute to the park's distinctive landscape.
The reviewer who brought a troop to stay described the park as "small and compact," which might suggest a more intimate and easily navigable setting compared to larger, more sprawling campgrounds. The fact that their "site was level" indicates attention to the comfort and convenience of campers, particularly those with RVs or trailers.
Based on the customer reviews, Paris Park appears to offer a range of services and amenities to cater to different types of visitors, including campers and those using the park for day activities:
- Campsites: The park accommodates campers with private campers, and the sites are reported to be level, suggesting suitability for RVs and potentially tents. The number and types of campsites (e.g., with hookups) would need further verification.
- River Access for Swimming: The river running through or alongside the park is accessible for swimming, offering a refreshing way to cool off, especially during warmer months.
- All-Inclusive Tubing: A standout feature is the "all inclusive tubing" service, where the park provides transportation to the beginning of the float, and the float ends back at the park. This is a significant recreational offering for local users.

- Water and Waste Disposal (for Campers): Campers would likely have access to potable water and waste disposal facilities, though the specific types of hookups for RVs would need to be confirmed.
The combination of recreational activities like swimming and tubing, along with the park's historical background and trail access, makes it a versatile destination for local users seeking diverse outdoor experiences.

Paris Park Reviews
I love stopping at this park for a swim & a short break as I bike pack the white pine trail. Entry is free for bikes. The river is shallow but the water is always refreshing!
Jul 13, 2024 · VickiBrought my Troop to stay. The staff was really nice and helpful. The park is small and compact. We brought my private camper and the site was level. One of the best parts of the park is its all inclusive tubing and they provided transportation to the beginning of the float and it ends at the park! The park is part of an old fish rearing facility so it has a ton of history. We had a great time.
Aug 06, 2021 · Dawn HaggartIt says it's a County park, but the campground nextdoor was collecting a $7.00 Parking fee-because they had a chain across the free parking area. The Fish hatchery was nice & for .25 you could buy fish food to feed the Rainbow Trout. It was a crazy feeding frenzy! The Effiel Tower wasn't terrible big...but we had a fun photo opp.It was in the very back. The other part of the hatchery was closed & so was the Indian statue.Overall we had a good time...but it is a good Roadside America stop!An Osprey nest is, also there.
Jul 07, 2023 · KathyWe spent 3 days at this campground and really enjoyed it. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Sites are well marked, level with easy access to water/electrical hook-ups. Very clean bathrooms too. The fish and the mini tower are cute. We also enjoyed sitting by the river. This is close to Reed City and is connected to their rail trails for bikers and runners. We will recommend this to friends. Thanks for a fun visit.
