Red Eagle Campground Introduce
For local users searching for 'camping near me' in the Cut Bank, Montana area, Red Eagle Campground, located at Cut Bank, MT 59427, USA, presents a location with a potentially beautiful natural setting. You can reach them at (844) 335-5178 or +1 844-335-5178 for inquiries. However, it is crucial to consider recent feedback from other campers before making a reservation.
Based on the available reviews, the environment surrounding Red Eagle Campground is described by one user as "absolutely beautiful." This suggests that the location may offer scenic views and a potentially tranquil natural atmosphere, which could be appealing to those seeking a getaway in nature. However, it's important to balance this positive aspect with other significant concerns raised by fellow campers.
In terms of services and features, one review mentions that the campground is "very primitive," but notes that "some sites have electricity." This indicates that while the campground may offer a more rustic camping experience, certain amenities like electric hookups might be available at some locations within the site. However, another review paints a concerning picture regarding these electrical services, stating they were charged for an electric site where the "electric box was laying in the dirt and filled with pine needles," presenting a potential "fire hazard." This user also reported that the power was turned off despite having a reservation and having paid in advance.
Accessibility to the campsites seems to be a significant factor to consider. One reviewer noted that "the roads are rough and narrow." This could pose a challenge for certain types of vehicles, particularly larger ones. The same reviewer specifically cautioned that "if you have a larger class C, class A, or a 5th wheel, you WILL contact tree branches," even anticipating spending time "rubbing out tree branch tracks" after their visit. This suggests that navigating the campground roads and maneuvering larger RVs or trailers might be difficult and could potentially lead to vehicle damage.
Several serious concerns have been raised regarding the overall condition and safety of Red Eagle Campground. One reviewer described the place as being in "complete neglect" and the "worst excuse for a campground I’ve ever heard of." This is a strong indictment and should be carefully considered. The same reviewer also reported disturbing incidents, including the presence of a "dilapidated, 4-door car a few sites down from ours (think: drug user hiding from the cops)" on the night of their arrival. While this is anecdotal, it contributes to a concerning picture of the campground environment. This user ultimately felt so unsafe that they left the next morning without finishing their reserved time and stated they "would rather stay in a Walmart parking lot," which underscores the severity of their negative experience.
Furthermore, the issue of absent staff was highlighted. The reviewer who experienced the electrical problems also mentioned that "there was nobody at the ‘office’" upon their arrival and again when they left the next morning. This lack of on-site management could be problematic if campers encounter issues or require assistance during their stay. The description of the "office" as a "shack" further contributes to the impression of neglect and a lack of proper facilities.
Given the significant negative feedback regarding the condition, safety, and management of Red Eagle Campground, it is difficult to present any positive promotional information based solely on these recent reviews. The beautiful setting mentioned by one user is a potential draw, but it is overshadowed by the serious concerns raised by others. Potential local users searching for 'camping near me' should be aware of these issues and exercise caution before booking a stay at Red Eagle Campground based on the information currently available online.
It is important to note that online reviews can be subjective and represent individual experiences. However, the consistency and severity of the negative feedback regarding neglect, safety concerns, and lack of management at Red Eagle Campground warrant careful consideration. If you are considering this campground, it would be prudent to attempt to contact them directly using the provided phone numbers to inquire about the current conditions, address the concerns raised in the reviews, and determine if any improvements have been made. You may also want to seek more recent reviews from other sources to get a broader perspective.
In conclusion, while Red Eagle Campground may be situated in a beautiful location near Cut Bank, Montana, recent online reviews raise significant red flags regarding its condition, safety, and management. Potential local users searching for 'camping near me' should be aware of these concerns, including reports of neglected facilities, potential safety issues, rough and narrow roads with overhanging tree branches, and a lack of on-site staff. It is strongly recommended to conduct further research and potentially contact the campground directly to obtain the most current information before making a decision to stay at Red Eagle Campground.

Red Eagle Campground Reviews
This place is in complete neglect. We were charged for an electric site for our camper and the attached pictures show the fire hazard electric hookups at this camp. The electric box was laying in the dirt and filled with pine needles and the power was turned off even though we had made a reservation and paid up front. There was nobody at the “office” and we left at 9:30 the next morning without finishing our reserved time and there was still nobody at their shack they called an “office.”This place is a wreck and is not a safe place to take your family. There was an old dilapidated, 4-door car a few sites down from ours (think: drug user hiding from the cops) the night we pulled in and it was gone in the morning. This place is the worst excuse for a campground I’ve ever heard of.I would rather stay in a Walmart parking lot, and that’s my honest opinion.
Jun 19, 2024 · Caleb DeFordAbsolutely beautiful setting. Very primitive, but some sites have electricity. The roads are rough and narrow. If you have a larger class C, class A, or a 5th wheel, you WILL contact tree branches. I'm anticipating an hour or two of rubbing out tree branch tracks.
Jun 27, 2023 · Alan BoyleThe campground is nice and clean, quiet, and is more of a primative style campground down in the trees away from the crowds of Glacier Park, but still very close if you desire to do a little sightseeing. I really liked it and would go back for sure.
Jul 23, 2024 · Michael TholaThe campground has a great location near the Two Medicine entrance to GNP. Just about 4 miles from East Glacier Park Village. Stayed here for vacation race and they did a nice job handling the crowd. It is primitive (i.e., no electrical hookups, no water, and no facilities), but the views are great. Would give it 5 stars if they had water. Otherwise a very good camping experience.
Jun 24, 2019 · Tim KileyThis is a very basic campground. Reasonably clean. The store was open but staff seemed not to care very much about customer service. Pit toilets seemed to once be there but the buildings are gone- only the pits remain. There is one portable outhouse. Camp here for the location as it’s really beautiful and close to Glacier NP. I really really wish the Tribe cared more about this campground as the setting is just stunning.
