River Country Campground Reviews
I’ve been camping here for a few summers now, I enjoy the campground being right on the river for our kayaking trips. The river is beautiful and well maintained.Since new owners took over the communication has been below par, it’s hard to get ahold of some in the office for booking even if you email.Upon checking in I have to prepare myself for a 20+ min process, because I usually book a few campsites each year it’s been challenging splitting up payments for each site properly. I don’t mind that they have usually younger staff working in the summer but I can tell every year I check in that they’re overwhelmed by splitting everything up properly and they don’t have their supervisor there to help them.I will still camp here because we do love the property and amenities, just 1 Star off because of minute issues. Nothing that can’t be worked on, I recommend this campground to everyone!
Mar 14, 2025 · AshleighI just love camping here!! Everyone is so friendly!! Angela and Charles are so sweet to us everytime we come in. They have a great staff that will help you with anything. The seasonal campers are so nice also I even had them offer us breakfast and dinner one day!! I can not say enough great things about this place!!!! We have even come in early and they said no problem and sent one of the boys to make sure our site was clean. Hand dipped ice cream is so good and the cones are huge!! When we camp here we are here for 10 days or more at a time, 3 years and still going!!!! The day we were leaving there was a line for the dump station and Charles came out and handed us all waters . He said im so sorry for the wait . He didn't have to do that but that was so sweet of him to do. This is why I come back every year, and will continue to bring my kids here and friends and family.
Jul 14, 2022 · Nikki MorleyPeaceful little campground with helpful staff and small beach area off the Muskegon River. River is wide and shallow making 4 hour tubing and kayaking trips a must while your there! No worries if you don't have something to float on. The campground will provide for a small fee.
Aug 16, 2022 · Jason MumauIt is not a rustic campground. Good for Rvs, and people who do not worry about privacy. Good tubing, kayaking, and prices at the convenient shop. There is even a game room and small laundry facility. Electric at each site, close set sites, some sites with fantastic spots on the river. The people are good people. We lucked out with an end site that had the only forest surrounding!
Jul 06, 2019 · Skye WoodcockThe lots were huge, their are two places with easy access to put in and float down, one was 1 hour, the further was 4 hours. Weather for fishing was tough, as it was a bluebird ski, but we caught several, and 2 were really nice smallies
