Mud Lake State Forest Campground Reviews
Very quiet rustic campground. That is about a mile if the main road. Great for tent camping. No electric or water hookups. Just a hand pump style well for water. Plus a vault style unisex bathroom. No showers. Campground has 8 rustic camping spots. A few which are closer to the water then the rest. But all are just a few steps away. All sites have picnic tables and a good size cemented fire pits. Also a boat launch for smaller boats or pontoons. Nice little lake for fishing. Surrounded by lots of woods with walking trails. Lots of surrounding state land for hunting.
Oct 28, 2024 · Dawn RunyonNice rustic campground, vault toilet kind of clean. Visited the campground in late April and we were the onlyCampers in the park. Only eight campsites, also looked like quite a few trails and the lake was very clean looking. No beach a very good experience and we will return.
May 02, 2022 · Bryan Likes to eat outAn amazing hidden gem, not a large campground but right on the lake, not too buggy, and extremely peaceful. Trails are hikeable but in poor condition due to potentially a windstorm.(?) Also has a walk in boat launch
Oct 09, 2024 · Andrea FergusonLoved it here. Despite having to listen to the most annoying and loud generator and having to wear ear plugs in order to sleep. That made for one of the worst rustic camping trips.
