Robinson Point Introduce
Seeking a "camping near me" location in the Mountain Home, AR area with a history of family enjoyment and scenic views? Robinson Point, situated at 2410 Robinson Point Rd, Mountain Home, AR 72653, USA, might be an option for you. You can reach them at (870) 492-6853 or their mobile number +1 870-492-6853. Based on customer reviews, this park offers some appealing aspects, particularly its natural beauty, but also has certain characteristics to be aware of.
The Environment: Scenic Beauty with Some Drawbacks:
One long-time visitor fondly recalls camping at Robinson Point as a child and now enjoys bringing their own family, emphasizing that "The husband, kids and I all love it!" This speaks to a potentially enduring appeal, especially for families. This reviewer specifically recommends trying to secure a spot on the "loop," noting that "the views at sunrise and sunset are gorgeous!" This highlights the potential for stunning natural vistas, likely overlooking a body of water, enhancing the overall camping experience. The park's access to water is further suggested by the mention of a "swim beach," indicating opportunities for water-based recreation.
However, another reviewer pointed out that while it’s a "nice park," the campsites are "way too close together with shared driveways." This is an important consideration for those who value privacy and space between camping areas. The same reviewer also noted "some flooding around the swim beach" at the time of their visit, though it "remained open." This suggests that water levels might fluctuate, potentially affecting certain areas of the park. Additionally, this reviewer did not observe a playground, which might be relevant for families with young children.
A notable environmental factor mentioned is the presence of a large number of geese, which "leave a real mess around the rods and campsites." One camper specifically reported that their site "was covered in poop" and required shoveling before their dogs could comfortably be outside. This is a significant consideration for the cleanliness of your campsite and the overall outdoor experience, particularly if you are bringing pets.
Services and Amenities: Basic Offerings with Dog-Friendly Policy:
The information regarding services and amenities is somewhat limited. We know that the park has a "swim beach," indicating access to swimming. One reviewer mentioned using their own bathroom facilities and therefore could not rate the restrooms provided by the park. However, the park is explicitly stated to be "dog friendly," which is a significant plus for campers who like to travel with their canine companions. The mention of shared driveways implies the presence of designated parking areas for campsites.
The availability of water access, as suggested by the swim beach, is a key amenity for many campers, offering opportunities for swimming, fishing, or simply enjoying the waterfront. However, the lack of a visible playground, as noted by one reviewer, might be a drawback for families with children seeking recreational activities within the campground.
Features of Robinson Point:
Based on the customer reviews, the key features of Robinson Point appear to be:
- Scenic Lake Views: Particularly from the "loop," offering gorgeous sunrises and sunsets.
- Water Access: Including a swim beach for recreational use.
- Dog-Friendly Policy: Welcoming campers with dogs.
- Family-Friendly Atmosphere: Enjoyed by families across generations.
However, potential campers should also be aware of:
- Close Proximity of Campsites: With shared driveways, potentially reducing privacy.
- Potential for Flooding: Around the swim beach area.
- Geese and Mess: A significant presence of geese can lead to unclean campsites.
- Lack of Playground (observed by one reviewer): May not cater to families seeking playground facilities.

Robinson Point Reviews
It’s a nice park but the sites are way too close together with shared driveways. There was some flooding around the swim beach but it remained open. I didn’t see a playground. It is dog friendly. I only use my own bathroom so I can’t rate the restroom. There are a lot of geese here and they leave a real mess around the rods and campsites. My site was covered in poop. I had to shovel it off before I would let my dogs outside
Jun 07, 2024 · Following the Yellow Brick RoadUsed to camp here with my family when I was a kid, now I bring my family to camp here. The husband, kids and I all love it! If you can get a spot on the "loop," the views at sunrise and sunset are gorgeous!

Jul 12, 2024 · Johnf ComeauBeautiful place to stay! We stayed for 1 wk and loved every minute of it. During the week it was super quiet and peaceful. The shower house wasn’t far from us, which was great. It was always cleaned every morning. Definitely would recommend!! We will be coming back!
Aug 24, 2021 · Julie SmithBeautiful Corp of Engineers campground where most sites border the lake. Some even have covered picnic tables for shade. Restrooms and showers were clean and modern. This park has a longer open season than most of the COE parks.
