Lakeview RV Park Introduce
For local users in the Monticello, Arkansas area, or those traveling through and searching under the platform category of "RV parks near me," Lakeview RV Park, located at 475 Old Hwy 13, Monticello, AR 71655, USA, presents itself as a compact and potentially convenient option for RV travelers. Based on the available customer reviews, the park offers a mix of positive attributes related to its location and amenities, alongside a significant concern regarding the past behavior of the park manager. This introduction aims to provide an objective overview of the environment, services, and features of Lakeview RV Park as described by these users.
According to one reviewer, Lakeview RV Park, while "small," is considered a "perfect little camp spot for RVs." Its location is noted as being "not far from town" and "just up the road from the lake," suggesting a convenient proximity to local amenities and recreational opportunities. This could be particularly appealing to those looking for a balance between a quieter camping experience and easy access to the resources of Monticello and the natural beauty of the nearby lake.
The same reviewer also highlights ongoing improvements, mentioning that "the owners and some volunteers are cleaning up the place and it's coming together really nicely!" This indicates a potential positive trend in the park's maintenance and overall appeal. For local users seeking an RV park that is actively being improved, Lakeview RV Park might be a promising option to consider.
Services and Amenities:
The amenities available at Lakeview RV Park, as mentioned by the positive reviewer, include practical necessities for RV travelers:
- Washer and Dryers: On-site laundry facilities are a significant convenience, especially for longer stays.
- Electric Hookups: Essential for powering RV appliances and systems. The specific amperage (e.g., 30 amp, 50 amp) is not mentioned, so it would be prudent for potential guests to inquire about this based on their RV's requirements.
- Dump Site: A crucial amenity for RVs to safely and legally dispose of wastewater.
- Dumpsters: For general waste disposal, conveniently located within easy walking distance from the sites.
Another reviewer corroborated the presence of a "nice laundry and shower house," further indicating that these essential facilities are available for guests. The mention of a "shower house" suggests that individual RVs without onboard bathroom facilities, or those preferring more spacious showers, can be accommodated.
The availability of these core amenities – electricity, water (implied with a dump site), sewer disposal, laundry, and showers – makes Lakeview RV Park a functional option for RVers traveling in the area. The "easy walking distance from the sites" for the dumpsters and presumably other facilities adds to the convenience.
Environment and Features:
The environment of Lakeview RV Park is described as "a beautiful place to stay" by one reviewer, although this positive sentiment is heavily qualified by their negative experience with the park manager. The park is noted to have "about a half dozen sites," indicating that it is indeed a small and intimate setting. This might appeal to those who prefer a quieter, less crowded RV park experience compared to larger resorts.
The park's proximity to a lake ("just up the road") is a significant feature, suggesting potential opportunities for lake-related activities such as fishing, boating, or simply enjoying the waterfront scenery. Local users who appreciate having a lake nearby might find this a compelling aspect of Lakeview RV Park.
The ongoing cleanup efforts mentioned in one review suggest that the owners are invested in improving the physical environment of the park. This could lead to a more aesthetically pleasing and well-maintained space for future visitors.
Concerns Regarding Management:
A substantial portion of one review details a highly negative experience with the park manager. This reviewer describes the manager as "an ignorant foul mouth drunk" who exhibited inappropriate behavior, including nightly drunkenness and unwanted personal invitations. The reviewer expressed concern that the owners might be unaware or unconcerned about this behavior, which significantly detracted from their stay and deterred them from returning. This is a serious issue that potential guests should be aware of, although it is important to note that this review is from a past experience (November and March of an unspecified year). The current management situation may have changed.
Promotional Information:
The provided reviews do not contain any information about specific promotional offers, discounts, or special rates at Lakeview RV Park. Local users interested in potential cost savings for short-term or long-term stays would need to contact the park directly to inquire about any current promotions. It might be worthwhile to ask about daily, weekly, and monthly rates, as well as any seasonal discounts or other special offers that might be available.
Given the small size of the park (around half a dozen sites), availability might be limited, especially during peak seasons or local events. Therefore, it would be advisable to inquire about reservation procedures and any associated costs or policies.
Conclusion:
For local users searching for "RV parks near me" in Monticello, Arkansas, Lakeview RV Park offers a small and conveniently located option near the town and a lake. The park provides essential amenities such as laundry facilities, a shower house, electric hookups, a dump site, and waste disposal. Ongoing cleanup efforts suggest potential improvements to the overall environment. However, a significant concern was raised in one review regarding the past behavior of the park manager, which potential guests should be aware of. It is crucial to note that this review reflects a past experience, and the current management situation may be different.
Prospective visitors should directly contact the owners or current management of Lakeview RV Park to inquire about the current status of the park, including the management situation, the specific types and amperage of electrical hookups available, water hookups (implied by the presence of a dump site), current rates, reservation procedures, and any promotional offers. Due to the limited number of sites, early booking might be advisable, especially during popular travel times. While the park seems to offer a convenient location and necessary amenities, addressing the serious concerns raised in the past review would be vital for ensuring a positive experience for all guests. Local users are encouraged to seek the most up-to-date information before making a reservation at Lakeview RV Park.

Lakeview RV Park Reviews
It may be small but it's a perfect little camp spot for RVs, it's not far from town and it's just up the road from the lake, the owners and some volunteers are cleaning up the place and it's coming together really nicely! They even have washer and dryers on the spot along with electric, dump site, and dumpsters all in easy walking distance from the sites. Definitely recommend to anyone traveling in the area
Aug 01, 2019 · Izzy RandomizederSuch a beautiful place to stay. About a half dozen sites, nice laundry and shower house. Sadly, the Park Manager was an ignorant foul mouth drunk. That thought she was god's gift to mankind. Apparently the owners are not aware of the type person they have running the place or don't care. I was there for a week last November on a job. Between her drunkeness it's really was a beautiful little Parkevery night and practically wearing nothing inviting me to her camper. I was glad when it was time to leave. In March, I again had to return to the area. I called to make reservations, but when I realized she was still there. I went elsewhere. Maybe someday they will get a decent person to represent the park.
Apr 08, 2020 · Redd ForemanLake view is a nice campground and owners are awesome. I was broke down while traveling to Branson and the owner allowed me to leave my camper at campground free of charge for a week. Of course I was not parked in a site and not connected to electricity. But the owner is very generous and helpful in my situation. I would definitely recommend this campground if you need a place to stay in Monticello. This is a nice little campground with awesome owners.
Jul 14, 2020 · Jason PruittHome away from home everyone is treated like family. If you are traveling or working away from home this is the place to be. Nice shady lots, on site laundry. There are cook outs that everyone us welcome to attend. The hard part is having to leave.
Aug 11, 2019 · Leisa Ageewell I have not stayed here .....but I called I looked at the reviews and I was so excited .I was looking for somewhere to have a quiet little birthday party, for my very well behaved almost 2 year old with a total of 4 adults and 4 children (also well behaved )and babies I might add....I was told that they didn't have children there and that her tenants probably wouldn't like that .so me and my family will not be going here even if they change there rules on children ...
